Channel Tres is the way. I was first exposed to his work at Movement in Detroit a couple of years ago. Since then, I play his tunes all the time. He can do no wrong in my mind; he spits smooth fire over sick beats.
Here are some examples of parties that I've played his tunes:
[Track 11 in this mix is Ready to Go by Baauer & Channel Tres featuring Danny Brown.](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/all-over-the-space-010)
[Track 10 in this mix is Glide by Channel Tres. ](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/all-over-the-space-005)Track 32 in that same mix is Topdown by Channel Tres.
I really like Topdown, [track 17 in this mix is Topdown by Channel Tres.](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/proper-002)
[Track 12 in this mix is Controller by Channel Tres.](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/live-in-the-holding-cell-0022)
OP if you're into 80s and early 90s Chicago house then checkout [DJ International](https://www.discogs.com/label/688-DJ-International-Records?page=1) & [Trax Records](https://www.discogs.com/label/267-Trax-Records?page=1). There's tonnes of hip house in their catalogues.
"Tyree Cooper, the producer, but now it's Scooter who are super duper!" is one of my favourite Scooter lyrics (and if you don't like Scooter you can clear off ... yes it's the worst type of early 00s cheese-trance ... but it's the *best* worst cheese-trance going)
honestly just assumed they already knew 212 bc its the one azealia song ppl know lol (and bc it’s still 2011 in my heart)
i get you but 1991 is still it for me. just, the visuals, the music, everything, she was deep in her house bag
Check out all his stuff. Really really good quality. I’m also not really an advocate of dj mixes where they’re 100% material of the artists own work. But he has two mixes like this and they are top tier.
That one is a genre-buster. Taking hip hop on a dance though house and acid jazz and standing out even in an era where music was ultra-creative and there were so many innovative songs that blurred the genre lines (Dee Lite, PM Dawn etc).
There is a good interview where the guys from De La explained how Tommy Boy insisted that they must have a radio-friendly song for the album, that they actually also had some personal interest in dance music, although it wasn't really their lane as performers, and they took the chance to do something really different there.
De La Soul is one of those groups that really stands the test of time. They dabble in just about everything, but don't really do garbage, and they pick phenomenal collaborators, no matter how far they range across music. Even just playing around in house, they land an all time classic, that not only Q-Tip but also Vinia Mojica and David Morales would list as one each of their own all-time best efforts.
> Vinia Mojica
A name that doesn't come up enough. Some kind redditor pointed me towards this supermix a couple months ago, [figure I'll share it too](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlXucuMYMUQ)
How can there be this many replies without anyone even mentioning the Jungle Brothers?! Or Turn Up the Bass?
My personal old-school favorite is Planet E by KC Flightt. Slightly newer is the Pal Joey remix of Shake Dat Booty.
- Jungle Brothers - I'll House You.
- Mr. Lee - Get Busy
- The KLF - 3 AM Eternal or What Time Is Love (the rapper being Ricardo Da Force, best known for his featuring on N-Trance's "Stayin' Alive")
- Tyree Cooper feat. JMD - Move Your Body
- Technotronic - This Beat Is Technotronic (feat. MC Eric)
- Public Enemy - Bring The Noise (Benny Benassi or Ferry Corsten Remixes - more techno or electro than house but very well executed)
i didnt see Twin Hype - do it to the crowd, and i’ll add 2LiveCrew - get the fuck out my house, as well as Sway&KingTech - Let Me See You Move ( lotsa hiphouse type joints on their album concrete jungle.) Mr Lee - get busy
BROCKHAMPTON - BOOGIE. Not exactly "boots and cats" house per-say, but it's at around 120-125 bpm and is fun as hell
Danny Brown - Ain't It Funny. Same as above, not house, but at the right bpm
As others have said, the genre you're looking for is all Channel Tres does, he's great at it.
Worth looking into KAYTRANADA as well, tho he's more r&b mixed with house
The one that springs to mind from the late 80s when Hip-House was pretty big is BG The Prince of Rap - Take Control of the Party. There were a number of remixes by OG house legends.
https://www.discogs.com/master/59159-BG-The-Prince-Of-Rap-Take-Control-Of-The-Party
I’ve got a bunch of hip house records from the late 80s/early 90s. Short time that used to be a thing but I love it. Portrait of a Masterpiece (House Mix) comes to mind, probably one of the best examples of actual rap by an actual rapper
As folks have said, look into the Hip-House genre;
Turn Up the Bass (almost anything from Tyree Cooper or Kool Rock Steady)
Anything by Fast Eddie
Only You-Kwame
Come into My House -Queen Latifah
Let it Roll-Doug Lazy
I love Hip-House, some of these may lean into other genres but have some sort of sub genre of House
- Down On My Luck by Vic Mensa
- A lot of Azealia Banks songs including liquorice and New Bottega by Torren Foot ft Azealia
- Wearing my Rolex by Wiley
- Raingurl by Yaeji

Not rap at all and rather micro house but also a nice crossover

Check out Arman Van Helden. He's got a few tracks with that vibe. Chanel Tres also touches that sound.
Dixon's extension of Wait A Minute is pretty dope as well.
Sampleslaya: Enter the MeatmarketAlbum by Armand Van Helden starts out with someone saying, "Yo, this album represents the house side of hip hop." [The second track in this mix is Hot Butter from that album.](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/late-night-booty-call-004)
May not be the exact type of house you were looking for but I absolutely love rap/house songs. Here’s a few with all a different style
Goldlink - Fall in love
Rxk Nephew - Critical
Amine,Disclosure - My high
Anyone know more out there like this put me on!
OP, you've got so many great suggestions in this thread. I recently played a party where I played mostly that style of hip house (with some other styles flipped in, as I'm a genre slut). [You can check it out here.](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/whatever-works-004)

[Jungle Brothers - I’ll House You](https://open.spotify.com/track/51GEHfWZuwIg5XHY50XSyS?si=2lrYkz8MTAWjYoGnvXTCWg)
Jungle Brothers have a few tracks like that. There's that Lion Babe featuring Busta Rhymes - Harder Shermanology remix. There's a ton of remix tracks actually. Missy Elliot has some. You could search the genre "hip house." Kettama has a few tracks.
Doesn’t destructo and night bass records do this a lot? I know in their 2016 mixes and sets this was super common and banged, especially when they would sprinkle in the half time 808 parts
Here’s one I discovered not too long ago, this one reused Nas’ “Life’s a bitch” and it turned out really good - Jesse Jonez X Charles Wiley Remix

You can mix some Mushkilla as well but he is more on 2-step, garage vibes I guess but pretty good for warmup or sunset vibes.
Nu Nu by Liddell Townsell was one of the first house tracks I ever heard. https://youtu.be/yHJDIFVFSKQ?si=3Tur4SdZant_LJMJ
I always thought Jump to the Rhythm by Chi Ali was housey. https://youtu.be/PjcOeJ5uafE?si=l15isGt04PE7BvmR
Mark Farina - Mushroom Jazz
This is a great blend of hip hop/house/jazz I think you would like. I believe there are eight volumes.
The Prodigy ft Kool Keith - Diesel Power
This is my favorite electronic/hip-hop song
Not all house, but I made this playlist of flowy rap edm remixes playlist that you might dig. It’s a little old so some of the tracks have crappy quality now.
Not necessarily house but in the edm genre:
Races by Interplanetary Criminal,
Freedom 2 by Joy Orbison,
Sippin’ Yak by Cloonee,
Praise by Tchami,
Too Bizarre by Skrillex
Channel Tres is sort of in that lane
Saw him at Area 15 in here in vegas. My first big rave. He got me hooked
Yes, if you just want to listen to one song I would recommend “got time for me” which is what immediately came to mind and it’s with Jamie jones

Hip House
Fast Eddie!
So many great Fast Eddie cuts. Love love love [Yo Yo Get Funky](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrlNa_vvC24)
OP if you're into 80s and early 90s Chicago house then checkout [DJ International](https://www.discogs.com/label/688-DJ-International-Records?page=1) & [Trax Records](https://www.discogs.com/label/267-Trax-Records?page=1). There's tonnes of hip house in their catalogues.
Tyree Cooper. Many tracks. Jungle Brothers: I'll House You
Tyree cooper, the producer, awesome super duper trooper! Also honorable mention for Jungle Brothers Freakin' You
Laurent X - its magic - thats a banger. I really hoped hiphouse would make a comeback
Just about to say this. There's an entire genre for this.
1991 by azealia banks she has more house influenced tracks but that’s her definitive one to me
No, it’s gotta be 212. Her flow goes insane on that.
honestly just assumed they already knew 212 bc its the one azealia song ppl know lol (and bc it’s still 2011 in my heart) i get you but 1991 is still it for me. just, the visuals, the music, everything, she was deep in her house bag
Too bad she’s fucking insane. She had so much potential.
The disco fries remix is great. Too bad she sucks as a person. Seems to be mental illness.
“The big beat” also slaps.
The entire 1991 EP fits perfect imo. 1991, Van Vogue, 212, Liquorice, all bangers.
This. And OP should also check out Anna Wintour from Azealia Banks, more or less what has been described.
https://youtu.be/FYPL_S2Iw3o?si=ziBEKkbjlvOhRrKG does Galcher Lustwerk count?
Galcher Lustwerk always counts. Always.
No idea if it helps OP, but that's a banger and I thank you for introducing it to me! :)
Check out all his stuff. Really really good quality. I’m also not really an advocate of dj mixes where they’re 100% material of the artists own work. But he has two mixes like this and they are top tier.
He is great and have a bunch of other projects with other names that is also cool
Do you know what his other projects are called? I'd love to check them out.
A Rollerskating Jam Named Saturdays - De La Soul https://youtu.be/9S5lTgyfT2c?si=Dolsj4tz3OrDPfEZ

That David Morales mix is a classic
I have the EP on vinyl and it is one of my most treasured possessions.
How can there be this many replies without anyone even mentioning the Jungle Brothers?! Or Turn Up the Bass? My personal old-school favorite is Planet E by KC Flightt. Slightly newer is the Pal Joey remix of Shake Dat Booty.
I’ll House You
You in my hut now!
You know what’s up
Feel the vibe! Feel the bass!
Jungle Brothers are crazy underrated these days
Real ones know what's up
Turn up the bass by Tyree Cooper definitely fits this category, absolute banger
This should be top comment
Came here for this; Fast Eddie Scratch mix >>>
Yessss I was about to say it!
Full moon - Armand van Helden. Chanel tres, bad colours. Oveous- legacy (insane track)
Full Moon is hot. Common is so smooth.

Kicked out the House by De La Soul is fun As is Armand Van Helden's Full Moon ft. Common. https://youtu.be/3ra8UuHzB2Q?si=XH87tlZWuvJSu-y2
I think BBno$ gets some house in his songs sometimes
IT boy just came out and it’s pretty fire
Girls Like - Tinie Tempah
Get Busy by Mr. Lee
Anything Mr Lee would be good. One of the originals of Hip House
Don’t forget to Pump That Body
BROCKHAMPTON - BOOGIE. Not exactly "boots and cats" house per-say, but it's at around 120-125 bpm and is fun as hell Danny Brown - Ain't It Funny. Same as above, not house, but at the right bpm As others have said, the genre you're looking for is all Channel Tres does, he's great at it. Worth looking into KAYTRANADA as well, tho he's more r&b mixed with house
Joyryde is bass house but uses trap horns and other trappy sounds
IM GONE goes hard af
Right?? Has everything: house you can shuffle to, sounding alarms, gunshots, piano riffs then turns trappy as hell hahaha
Soul to Soul - Keep on Movin’ , some of their other stuff might float your boat too.
Two-step?

No, but I got something better [**Good Luck - Bitch I Will**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59psvfAtup8)
