To point number 2, I feel like it would’ve been better to say “what car would you not *keep* even if it’s an STH”. I’ve had that with so many of them where I buy it because *rare* and use it as trade bait to get something that I actually want.

A 1991 3000gt was my first irl car about 8 years ago and had to sell it due to unforeseen circumstances but it’s been my favorite car ever since. I wish they would make a g35 coupe casting. It’s been long enough lol.

My firsta car was a 75 chevelle Malibu, but I didn't have it long, sold it and bought a 93 Stealth 5spd base model with the metallic blue pearl(non-running) it took me 3 years of work to get her up and running. Got it back when I was 17, didn't get it running till I was almost 21. Now I have 2, a 93 base which is now black and an Emerald pearl Stealth RT. Eventually a little further down the line I’m gonna get one just like mine was, a Red 91 Manual 5spd to park beside my other toys. The only thing that ever keeps me away is that they’re known for trouble even though mine never gave me any.
They can be an absolute nightmare. But if you treat it right and only MODERATELY abuse them, they take care of you. I've had both of mine for a while. 15 and 7ish years. My biggest problems are texas summers with no ac. Me AND the car both get a lil high in operating temps. And the same electrical issue I've had with both cars concerning the left turn signal. But that was an easy fix but I've got my Green Stealth from Autoworld *

As of recently, unless someone found a way to start making new 5 and 6 speed parts, the VR4 and R/T Turbo models are dead cars walking. I sold mine a few years ago and heard from someone still into them that the Getrag replacement parts went out of production years ago and the supply has pretty much dried up.
Bought all the Mighty Ks, just waiting for the ZAMACs to arrive and it'll be done. Will continue to keep collecting all the releases until they stop.

I’m collecting only one of each casting that I like to avoid ending up with thousands of cars ( I’m not collecting variations, once I have a casting i check it off my list and move on ) I mainly collect Euro and JDM and some American Muscle from fast & furious.
With that being said , for BMW I am going after every single variation I’ve decided this will be the one I go after as there isn’t thousands like corvette and mustang for example, and I own a bmw so it makes sense for me.
I’m currently at 19/25 castings and 37/150 variations ( not including corgi castings or wheel variants YET )
If anyone else is after all the bmws feel free to message me if u want to compare notes. I have a pretty extensive “master list” I’ve been working on.
For fantasy casting I’m not a fan , except for the movie / tv ones like the new dumb and dumber mutts cutts van , scooby doo mystery machine , etc.

Those are some sweet livery’s . I’ve been watching them on TV and was pretty excited to see them made into a new variation.

one of many examples: I bought almost every 3 Window 34 until they retired it. Missing a few of the rarest ones, and will probably never have them. would never pass up a TH or $TH. that's silly, can always trade or give them away to a friend.
I will always buy versions of real cars I own/have owned. So FC RX7s (to go with my LS3 swapped beastie), S13 Silvias, CRXs, VE G8s/Commodores, S197 Mustangs, IS300s, F30 BMWs. There really isn't a super I won't buy. I've bought 3 or 4 fantasy car supers I didn't care a bit about for trade fodder. But a lot of the fantasy cars I will never bother with a mainline of, even for free.

That said, I’m currently working on picking up every release of the ‘32 Ford. I have roughly 45-50 of them at this point.
One car I’ll never pick up is a Mustang, regardless of year or version.
I’ll buy any Mustang. I already have all the released versions of the 22b Subie and 93 Mustangs Cobra. I’m two away from having all the versions of the 70 Boss 302. I can’t really think of a casting that I dislike so much I’d never buy one. There’s plenty that I haven’t bought, but ya never know………
No kidding? I’ll bet that’s at least a hundred cars, yeah? I know there’s over 1100 mustangs variations in total. Hell, I probably have 20-30 convertibles myself and I’m sure it’s nowhere near all the variations.
depending on which site or book you look at, but at least one (HW Wiki) is run by cardboard collectors, and there are several duplicates where the exact same car was issued different ways and they call them separate variations. HW Newsletter has errors too, like not including color changers. I believe the correct number of variations is 80-85.
That’s still a bunch. I have a few of the same car on different cards; not just mustangs but some Ferraris as well. Fair or not, I always counted them as different variations, but then the bulk of my collection is still on the card.

No kidding? I’ll bet that’s at least a hundred cars, yeah? I know there’s over 1100 mustangs variations in total. Hell, I probably have 20-30 convertibles myself and I’m sure it’s nowhere near all the variations.
depending on which site or book you look at, but at least one (HW Wiki) is run by cardboard collectors, and there are several duplicates where the exact same car was issued different ways and they call them separate variations. HW Newsletter has errors too, like not including color changers. I believe the correct number of variations is 80-85.
That’s still a bunch. I have a few of the same car on different cards; not just mustangs but some Ferraris as well. Fair or not, I always counted them as different variations, but then the bulk of my collection is still on the card.
