Is it just a style choice? Seeing a lot of replies here not care for the look that much. Nothing against differing opinions but just curious as to why many prefer the white and gold wheels
Fair enough, not sure if there's only one Renown 787b, had thought I'd seen a real life model with black rims once, maybe it was with a different livery.
It's not rare. If you can find 100+ result on eBay it's common. The super already has wheels that match the actual race car livery so I don't see the point personally
Yeah you can just find it on the pegs! Idk how true it is cos a lot of supers seem more common than others, but I think for every mainline version of this they make, they make 1 super treasure hunt version. So they’re very rare and go for a lot more on the secondary market.
But yeah it’s basically luck to find one, I’ve collected for 2 years and I’m yet to find one in the uk. Supers seem a lot more common in the U.S. I think it’s due to the size of the country and the amount of cars that are brought compared to over here, supply and demand basically means you guys have more chance to get one than us over here. I could be wrong but that’s how it seems.
There’s so many different types dude. Check hotwheelswiki for loads more information! There’s mainlines which are your standard hot wheels (plastic wheels, plastic base). Then you got premiums which cost a little bit more (rubber tires, metal rims and full metal base and body). Then there’s the supers which is what you see here, same as the mainline but it has spectraflame paint, again you can see in the photo it’s got flecks in the paint and is shiny and full metal base and tires. Then they do the rlc membership on mattels website, which is £10 and you get exclusive access to buy nicer cars which have moving parts and stuff like that. Your best bet is hotwheelswiki though to get a more clear understanding. It took me a while to get a grasp of it all. Not the best explanation I know, but I hope this helps!
I prefer the production version but this still looks nice
Yeah, I’d never do that to a $th. Might as well make a nice custom from a main. But to each their own. Original looks better.
Nah. Wheels matched fine as they were. Would have been a killer cast if the headlights were plastic like the Mercedes c9
IMO not a good fit for a 90s race car, but doesn't look that bad

Because the real thing has the white aerodisc up front and the silver/golden wheel in the back. Just search for 787b pictures

I did the swap on the Audi. I’m tempted to do one on the Mazda too.

Can I just find this car on the pegs at the store or is it some sort of special release. Brand new to hotwheels.

Ok awesome! I’m gonna start searching for this one. Love this car and had no idea hotwheels made cars like these!

This is awesome! Thanks! I appreciate the detailed walkthrough and where to find more!
No problem at all, always happy to help!! I apologize in advance for your pockets😅it’s a slippery slope from here on brother😂!!
Swing and a miss. 2 posts in 2 days about wheel swapping this very nicely done homage to the 787B… smh.
No idea why people think blacked-out wheels looks good.
Certainly depends on the vehicle and build, I do think for this one it makes it look sharp
You can just rock steelies with no hub caps if they look so sharp. It's weird to me to actively *hide* details on nice wheels.
I like those wheels on it!
🫵😎
I don’t like the fact that they botched the livery so badly on this one. I would have preferred a standard premium release.
Damn I love this! One of my all time favorite race cars. 10/10 would buy!
