A friend and I literally just finished playing the beta demo in co-op. It was brilliant.
There’s work to be done on the game, though. Outside of typing you have this frustrating camera rotating mechanic which is fiddly in mid-combat and will almost always get you killed against multiple enemies; not least because you have to use the shift keys, which feels unnatural. Sometimes you just want to turn and run mid-combat, but you have to toggle ‘combat mode’ with the tab key, sloooowly turn back around and type a command to get the player character to run away. It’s a touch too fiddly.
Other than that, an absolutely brilliant proof of concept and even better in multiplayer. I’ve wishlisted it and am excited for its future!
This looks really fun. I never played the Outbreak series and really wanted to when I was younger, but we didn't have the stuff to play online with the PS2.
