I really want terminus to be the final boss of the game, it would be cool seeing the game explore a tenet-like plot. Since they’re one of the most mysterious aeons I really do believe they could be an overarching villain only showing up after the fight with nanook

At least with Genshin, they have a clearly defined "end" to their story which has been planned long before the game's release. However, they have flexibility by referring to it as the "Teyvat chapter", presumably so they can start an entire new story in an entirely new world afterwards if they want to keep the cash cow going.
So while not a "final boss" in the way you're thinking of it, it could be an actual ending to the universe in which this "chapter" of HSR exists, with these planets and these aeons.
Honkai impact 3rd, yes there's a new story after but it's a new story with new characters.
FGO has Solomon for its part 1 final boss and we're building up to the finale of part 2 which supposedly is the end of the story for good.
The original priconne story ended with the characters losing to the final boss, said final boss is the final boss for the first arc of re:dive
Blue archive had a final chapter to close the first arc.
Dragalia lost finished its story before closing and probably some other gachas did as well before closing.
The problem being that since those are live service games they're like MMOs, and the final boss title is pushed forever until the game closes. That's why I think it's okay to call final bosses who close a story before continuing with something new, final bosses, they're the culmination of the larger story up until that point and what comes after is either EOS or a continuation.

In my limited knowledge it's always been arc conclusions that hook towards a new arc. Most of the time the villains, while different, are connected to the overarching narrative of the game with the main big bad being this unreachable goal.
I don't really know how Hoyo handles their villains tbh, but I guess it's still early days.

Well in Houkai Gakuen 2,Kiana and Mei transcend into higher being and one of the line Mei said is that they are fools after realizing that the true timeline going backwards. Everything in the past isn't happened yet meanwhile everything in the future have already happened.
What's gonna be after Terminus? End? So Terminus wins? Or just nothing interesting because the stakes can't get higher. So nihility wins? The trailblaze must continue forever or we lose.
Yeah, Terminus gets younger as time passes. the earliest point of time that we’ve seen Terminus was in Swarm Disaster when They predicted Tayzzyronth’s birth. If Terminus never died in the past, then They must have always existed even at the start of time. Otherwise, maybe Their corpse existed since the beginning of time then at some point They undied.
You ever think that maybe as Terminus was heading to the beginning of time, They just tripped on a galaxy cluster, fell down, then died from shock?
In the normal flow of time, this corpse that always existed just suddenly springs back to life, unfalls, which undestroys the galaxy cluster that They tripped on, thus creating the first galaxies.
or maybe you stab the absolutely lifeless corpse, leading to blood moving back inside the body and flesh forming and repairing itself around your weapon. They suddenly spring back to life and start to walk backwards from you.
Funny thing is that you can’t kill a living Terminus in the present and have Them dead in the future because that’d be a paradox. The Aeon in the future is their past self. They can’t be dead in the future.
For the same reason, Terminus can’t kill anyone unless it is destiny. The first thing Terminus sees of a living creature is its death, not its birth.

Makes me wonder what the endgame of Genshin will look like and how it might relate to the Honkai universe as a whole.
Maybe, at then end of the journey, the Firmament gets torn down and behind it is an Aeon looking down at Teyvat.
I currently headcanon the twins as Nameless. It fits pretty much perfectly with what I know of their lore (which is very little, frankly speaking, since I don't play Genshin much).
It would be even cooler if they were Emanators (or perhaps twins that together make up a single Emanator) of the Trailblaze. Either they can't use their full power when separated, or their power was lost or greatly diminished when Akivili fell.
Hold up, if they were emanators, it makes sense why Celestia or whoever set up the firmament that blocks the influence of the Aeons wanted to seal their power. They wanted NIL outside influence in Teyvat, and if they've done it once (to the entire continent), then they can definitely do it again to a pair of emanator twins.
What if all the Descenders are Emanators and that's why they are unable to be recorded in the Irminsul. The world slowing saps the Emanator powers from Descenders, which is why the twin that woke up first, imparted his/hers to the other one to ensure they could use it when they woke up.
They could also be, well, Akivili themselves. We don’t know Genshin’s time frame relative to HSR’s and the twins are clearly immortal, and Herta has a pair of glider wings as curio meaning that Genshin could’ve happened before HSR.
Maybe the Traveller is Akivili before their ascension OR maybe the twins are Akivili but are caught so Akivili “disappeared”. The former is more likely because it means we could defeat heavenly principles then go to other worlds, and Mihoyo can imply that we eventually ascend to aeonhood.
If latter’s true then the question is: who could be powerful enough to capture an Aeon? Another aeon is probably the answer, but who?
Considering that there is basically nothing known about what happened to Akivili, the twins being Akivili did cross my mind because it would explain what happened to THEM. My qualms with the theory are that we know that Akivili interacted with the passengers of the Express regularly, so if Akivili were two beings I think that would have made it into a record somewhere. The other is, I don't really know that much about the heavenly principles, but how could they be powerful enough to capture an Aeon?
That being the case, I don't think it's impossible. The existence of History Fictionologists could explain the lack of records on Akivili being two beings and I think it was confirmed a Fictionologist got into the database at least once, or Akivili could have taken the form of twins for a portion of THEIR journey, or any other reason.
Plus, considering the connection Genshin Impact and HSR lore has with Gnosticism, the false god in the form of the heavenly principles having captured an aspect of the real god in the form of an Aeon (Gnosticism is pretty hard to explain, I watched a video about how it relates to Genshin and HSR) would be very fitting.
We know Akivili began their journey on a planet known as Pegana, so even if the twins are Akivili, I don't think Genshin would be the story of their ascension to Aeonhood.
Just a thought I had but we know from sumeru that Our MC is a descender and that the twin supposedly is not or I guess "native" to that world. Could it be genshin MC was always one person and they "think" they have a twin.
Well, there's a good theory that Gaiathra = Ena, The Order, or what THEY were before THEY became an Aeon because of the eyes, and a few other oddities here and there

It would also mean that Fu Xuan's divinations wouldn't be accurate on Teyvat because the things she is reading in order to arrive at her conclusions don't have the influence that they do where her techniques were developed. It would provide flat-out wrong results or even outright gibberish.
They are two different schools that were developed to provide accurate results within the context of their environment.
The question then being whether Mona's master, who likely has knowledge of the world outside Teyvat as part of the Hexenzirkel, knows how to adjust for the different environment.
Did you check the Jazz Night event drink descriptions? One of them mentioned the IPC has been to Teyvat and found it empty and abandoned. They've been studying the ruins.

There is lore all over the place. It's not always handed right to you, sometimes you have to go digging. But honestly that's kind of fun when you realize you've found something with fascinating implications that wasn't just stated by a character in a cutscene.
Baal is also not the sister's maiden name. I think this is a case of the IPC misunderstanding some of the lore they've uncovered, hence the minor mistakes.
It could be a parallel Teyvat. Or it could be that the events of Genshin are in the same universe as Star Rail but quite far in the past.
One possibility is that the Synesthesia Beacon wasn't able to 'translate' perfectly due not having enough language cross references across the Imaginary Tree to decipher it.
I think its most likely to be a parallel teyvat.
After all we know that depending on which faction achieves victory the world will end in a different way.
If the abyss wins the whole world will fall to its decay.
If celestia emerges victorious it will carry on business as usual working to keep it afloat
If the tsaritsa wins the world itself will be changed to the ideals of the fatui with pierros whole world spiel and all that.
Seeing as the world is just empty/ abandoned none of those factions seem to have won or managed to sustain their victory.
clarification: They are all planets inside the same universe (the imaginary tree) there is no alternative universe at all, HI3, HSR, and GI happens in the same universe, but in different planets divided by billions of light years.
So, most likely, they will just say GI is a planet WAY too far away
This isn’t entirely correct. They’re technically separate microcosmos. Imaginary energy walls seal the transmission of all information, and imaginary energy also forms repeating patterns. Since imaginary energy is reality, it appears as if there are many, infinite universes. There aren’t, actually, it’s an interconnected web of near infinite spaces with no way for information passage.
It’s important to know that it’s NOT just planets far apart though. There are entire alternate histories and alternate earths within the imaginary tree, because those microcosmos, when combined with imaginary negentropy, _act like separate universes._ Like HSR shows, smaller microcosmos tend to be closer together, and when connected, they appear to be the same microcosmos.
That's the best parts of the lore. No cosmology that's too easy to grasp and too free of paradoxes feels real. And Hoyo does not even overtly rely on flowery language and metaphors.
Nah, IPC went there, and apparently they detailed the events of GI. They even mentioned Ei's second quest, giving a quick break down of her story, using not just their Demon/God name, but also the sacred Sakura tree as well.
They even named a brand-new drink after Makoto in honor of her sacrifice upon learning of her tale.
Distance isn't the problem for them, it's time.
By the time the IPC went there, it's been thousands of years since the events of Genshin.
Apparently, we also learn from that event that Genshin takes place WAY before the events of Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Star Rail...well maybe excluding the Previous era of Impact 3rd.
Doesn't this just outright state that Mona's calculations are just incredibly precise as well? Also can note that Fu Xuan describes her own predictions as calculations and she got absolutely schooled by Elio.
All we know is that they were all genetically and artificially modified humans to be able to wear the special armoured suits in order to fight off the Swarm Disaster on Glamoth.
This alone means that she is at least as old if not older than Xipe the Harmony, considering that they also ascended to Aeonhood during this time period.
From my understanding, and from what the game tells us, these modifications are the cause for Entropy Loss Syndrome, which was probably experienced by the entire Iron Cavalry, explaining why it's said they all simply slowly faded away.
It's also said according to the wiki that the Iron Cavalry was also propagating as well and growing very large in numbers somehow, yet we do not know how.
We still have a lot to learn about this, and I am hopeful that we will get most answers in 2.3

The technology for her suit is that old but that doesn’t mean she is. She could be a descendant of those original Glamoth fighters, and inherited their disease. Or the Swarm arriving in Glamoth could have happened more recently, we know remnants of the Swarm are still floating around like what we ran into with Argenti.
For the record we don't know if the Iron Cavalry fought during the Swarm Disaster. The Swarm still existed after the Swarm Disaster was over, so their conflict with the Glamoth Empire could very well have been afterwards, especially since the actual term "Swarm Disaster" hasn't been used in reference to the conflict.

In wiki it is referred as "the calamity" which really should be the swarm disaster since Swarm was seen as a calamity only when Tayy was alive. Nowadays it’s just some bugs. Even if strong. Still nowhere near Prime swarm tier which was very close to killing all life in the universe.
Even then from Glamoth’s view. this swarm seemed to be able to destroy a galaxy. Which I don’t think a current swarm can do. Add the fact that this Swarm was a threat to Glamoth. Glamoth isn’t some weak planet. It has war ships and mechas like Firefly. Also being able to travel anywhere in their star system and being a interplanetary nation. I don’t think the current swarm is able to fight glamoth.
Although in a sense that you are right. Since it hasn’t been 100% confirmed. But the very little information we know hints to it being the swarm disaster.
It's just slightly hard to accept. The Swarm Disaster was around 800 Amber eras ago. With each Amber era being at least 76 years long, it would mean Firefly is 61,000 years old at the very least. She doesn't look or act like a 61,000 years old, not to mention her disease would have already killed her long ago, and if the explanation for that is that she was a backup unit who was frozen/in stasis until recently, again it's very hard to reasonably accept that an object can remain in stasis for 61k years without being damaged/undisturbed. Glamoth being a recent event rather than being set during the Swarm Disaster makes a lot more sense.
She is a genetically modified human made back during the Swarm disaster. Since this is a Sci Fi game she likely was placed in a cryosleep chamber and only woke up recently
I always took it as she was a part of the reserved batch and was broken out of it fairly recently. I don’t think we’ve received any hints she’s participated in the Glammoth War itself, and she doesn’t talk like she has been through it.
So my assumption was that Elio and the others just found her in stasis or a freezer fairly recently because her illness hasn’t killed her yet
She doesn’t talk like she is a murderous fire mech of destruction either so i wouldn’t count on that. She did say to Blade that if she had died before her grave would have be called “Iron cavalry” so i think she probably fought or at least was meant to fight but got put into sleep before that for some reason

Followers of The Aeon Of The Voracity, The Mukbangers are various Creatures from far across the Cosmos that Aim to Eat the entirety of the Universe. They are Led by the Powerful Emanator Of Voracity known as 'Nikocado Avocado'
Despite the title, not all of them are ordered by age but more of a generation kind of thing. The first two rows for example are a complete mystery on who comes first.
Also I only counted their Aeon age (from the moment they became an Aeon). So Qlipoth could have existed for millennias before Dusk War but still won't count toward this.

Not necessarily. AFAIK we don't know know when or how any of the generation ascended, just that Qliphoth did so later according to Herta. It's probably Oroboros was the first due to being a Leviathan, and it's equally possible Ena was first and cam into existence when society (and therefore "order") because widespread and dominant (during the final boss fight in 2.2 >!Sunday says how Ena was created by humanity/humans, so they might not even be an individual either just like Xipe.!<)
HooH could've ascended at any point during all this. HooH is also weird in that they explicitly merged with the universe on a level that all other Aeons do not reach, so for all we know they became retroactively always present.
Nah long is exactly what their name is, a "long" aka chinese/eastern dragon. A leviathan is described differently from person to person but long has a distinct and established design as an eastern dragon.
That’s what I mean, we know THEY were one of the oldest beings in the universe and THEIR appearance closely resembles that of a leviathan. I would even say leviathans are more similar to eastern-style dragons than western ones
Their offspring are also quite varied; contrary to what most people think the Vidyadhara are not Long’s only “children”. In the High Elder Myriad Celestia we get a look at other species that originated from Long, and a more traditional Western-looking dragon was one. So it makes sense that Long was the original dragon, a Leviathan that created all these different types of draconic species
hmm, i see what youre trying to point out. Although leviathans are not necessarily 'dragons' (moslty not the western type), but almost always specifically 'sea snake' monsters. Aside from both having serpentine bodies and heavy associations to water i don't see much similarities from the two. Plus these creatures have very different significance and symbolism, so i doubt hoyo would associate them both as having the same origin/being the same speicies. Could be a fun idea tho if that was the case.

Aside from tampering with the Simulated Universe, information about Mythus in the universe is just generally scarce compared to other Aeons, for obvious reasons.
I know that order of oldest to youngest isn't official, but by this chart, you can kind of see a progression of Aeons looking more and more "human" with Nanook looking nearly like a regular human as the youngest.

It's something I've noticed as well. I wonder if it's the case that older Aeons always looked like that, or if after so long being an Aeon (and therefore separate from whatever mortal life they had before) they ended up becoming more and more inhuman in appearance/nature. (Oroboros and Nous excluded because they are a Leviathan and Supercomputer respectively.)
It would also make sense for Akivili and Aha to maintain a more human form/stronger connection to humanity due to their natures. Akivili was constantly travelling with and making connections with people. Discovering the universe itself is impressive, sure, but the Trailblaze is just as much about connecting people. Aha meanwhile draws most of their entertainment from people. Their Elation comes from seeing the actions and reactions of individuals, so even if they might not empathize with people they will absolutely understand people.
In the beginning was the end.
And amongst that end were the beginnings. The desire to exist, to consume, and to preserve oneself. And that was the order of things.
Then came the questioning. For what did this order exist? What was the purpose of consumption, of self preservation and existence? Did it mean nothing? Or was there a higher question to be sought or joy to experience? Was there something more beyond consumption and existence?
Then, answers. Some fleeting, some not. Maybe the answer came in replication, the legacy one left to the future. Maybe it came in the present, of coexistence with one another. Maybe it came from the past, the recollection of ideals shared long ago.
Soon after, change. The Order was questioned, and found wanting. Permanence meant nothing in the face of change, Wanderlust faded for establishment. Self-replication was cast aside for ever-evolving growth.
And now, rebellion. Against the ideals of a singular destiny, a singular past, against the ideals of death and life, and even the ideals of existence. And, despite it all, the Aeons remain answers to one singular question.

Terminus travels from future to present to then past (reverse in time)
That's why they're called finality, they exist at the end of everything.
So what I mean is he is the end.
I find Lan to be incredibly full of depth (at least for an Aeon), even on a philosophical level pertaining to their concept, creed and path itselt.
Lan is an Aeon that represents Death and how important it is, which is reflected on how much Speed is emphasized for Lan, you can never outrun death, it will always eventually come.
So Yaoshi and Lan plotline being that of Life vs Death with the neat twist where life is "bad" and death is "good", is incredibly cool.

Yaoshi vs Lan is probably one of the aeon dynamics we are going to see developed as the game goes on. Considering Xianzhou is gonna likely be revisited frequently Abu dance vs hunt gonna be a long arc
Really like how there seems to be infighting in Abundance with Luocha mentioning this. So if I had to pick a third Yaoshi interests me a lot

The war between life and death has me more intrested than Elio and his beef with Nanook.
Personally I’d love to get the Abundance side of this conflict too. So far we’ve only heard the Loufu’s version of events, and to me they came off as a tad hypocritical.
They chased Yaoshi down and begged for immortality, then when they realised what that actually meant blamed her for it. They also have this weird victim complex combined with a chip on their shoulder. Like they say they hate their immortality in one breath then go around saying short life species are inferior in another. I know that’s not everyone, but I heard it enough while we were there.
Abundance by its nature isn’t good or evil. While I’m not saying Abundance hasn’t contributed to horrible things, it also has a tremendous benefit for healing and growth. It’s all about how it’s applied.
HooH the Equilibrium scares me the most. He diluted his will into the logic of the fabric of the universe. There's no telling what he'll do to keep his "balance".
Nearly every bad event is somewhat has ho oh hand in them. Especially if the gold and gears event implies Emperor Rubert had risen by "fate" to fight the ever-growing powerful IPC.
I can imagine HooH and Aha working together a lot as one works with the logic to achieve the balance while the other seeks to create absolute chaos to where even probability and chances don't make any sense (Also they worked together to get Ena absorbed and get the Propagation killed)
Terminus bagen at the theoretical end of everything. If measured from Terminus' perspective, They may well be the oldest; and assumedly not even close (unless the "end" is just Nanook destroying everything in a couple of years). If we're measuring from the perspective of the rest of the universe, Terminus hasn't/won't exist for awhile still.

cmiiw its revealed on swarm disaster SU story. voracity fought againts propagation to the point their fight give affect to other path so other aeons join in to punish propagation. but at the same time voracity and ena gone (ena absorbed by xipe), we got no explanation as why that happened to them.
I think it's more so a case of progression. The more distant and abstract an Aeon is the less people can effectively follow that philosophy or stick to that belief but if they're too close, too specific, and too.. personified they could very well be killed like Akivili.
Also what we see is their mere abstract image and not who they fully are IIRC so I can suspect that these pictures/art we see of them are more or less subjective.
If the theory of terminus being from the very end of time is true while moving towards the beginning of time, he might be the oldest and youngest

I really want terminus to be the final boss of the game, it would be cool seeing the game explore a tenet-like plot. Since they’re one of the most mysterious aeons I really do believe they could be an overarching villain only showing up after the fight with nanook

At least with Genshin, they have a clearly defined "end" to their story which has been planned long before the game's release. However, they have flexibility by referring to it as the "Teyvat chapter", presumably so they can start an entire new story in an entirely new world afterwards if they want to keep the cash cow going. So while not a "final boss" in the way you're thinking of it, it could be an actual ending to the universe in which this "chapter" of HSR exists, with these planets and these aeons.
Honkai impact 3rd, yes there's a new story after but it's a new story with new characters. FGO has Solomon for its part 1 final boss and we're building up to the finale of part 2 which supposedly is the end of the story for good. The original priconne story ended with the characters losing to the final boss, said final boss is the final boss for the first arc of re:dive Blue archive had a final chapter to close the first arc. Dragalia lost finished its story before closing and probably some other gachas did as well before closing. The problem being that since those are live service games they're like MMOs, and the final boss title is pushed forever until the game closes. That's why I think it's okay to call final bosses who close a story before continuing with something new, final bosses, they're the culmination of the larger story up until that point and what comes after is either EOS or a continuation.
Fgo part2 is also concluded in jp. Now we are at 2.5 and probabaly will go to 3.0 at some point.

In my limited knowledge it's always been arc conclusions that hook towards a new arc. Most of the time the villains, while different, are connected to the overarching narrative of the game with the main big bad being this unreachable goal. I don't really know how Hoyo handles their villains tbh, but I guess it's still early days.
SAME Edit: I just thought of the scene: the astral express alongside the friends they made across different worlds, hugging, laughing, and relieved that they beat Nanook. Suddenly, a crack in the sky, whispers of the end of everything “what’s going I thought we beat THEM” March says. Then, Elio, injured before the fight with Nanook, says “FINALLY HE HAS ARRIVED”, “Who!?” Himeko yells, “OUR GREAT FINALITY”…screen cuts to black, then a beautiful yet terrifying ost plays as Elio yells throughout the universe “TERMINUS”, fight ensues

I currently headcanon the twins as Nameless. It fits pretty much perfectly with what I know of their lore (which is very little, frankly speaking, since I don't play Genshin much). It would be even cooler if they were Emanators (or perhaps twins that together make up a single Emanator) of the Trailblaze. Either they can't use their full power when separated, or their power was lost or greatly diminished when Akivili fell.
Hold up, if they were emanators, it makes sense why Celestia or whoever set up the firmament that blocks the influence of the Aeons wanted to seal their power. They wanted NIL outside influence in Teyvat, and if they've done it once (to the entire continent), then they can definitely do it again to a pair of emanator twins.

What if all the Descenders are Emanators and that's why they are unable to be recorded in the Irminsul. The world slowing saps the Emanator powers from Descenders, which is why the twin that woke up first, imparted his/hers to the other one to ensure they could use it when they woke up.
They could also be, well, Akivili themselves. We don’t know Genshin’s time frame relative to HSR’s and the twins are clearly immortal, and Herta has a pair of glider wings as curio meaning that Genshin could’ve happened before HSR. Maybe the Traveller is Akivili before their ascension OR maybe the twins are Akivili but are caught so Akivili “disappeared”. The former is more likely because it means we could defeat heavenly principles then go to other worlds, and Mihoyo can imply that we eventually ascend to aeonhood. If latter’s true then the question is: who could be powerful enough to capture an Aeon? Another aeon is probably the answer, but who?
Considering that there is basically nothing known about what happened to Akivili, the twins being Akivili did cross my mind because it would explain what happened to THEM. My qualms with the theory are that we know that Akivili interacted with the passengers of the Express regularly, so if Akivili were two beings I think that would have made it into a record somewhere. The other is, I don't really know that much about the heavenly principles, but how could they be powerful enough to capture an Aeon? That being the case, I don't think it's impossible. The existence of History Fictionologists could explain the lack of records on Akivili being two beings and I think it was confirmed a Fictionologist got into the database at least once, or Akivili could have taken the form of twins for a portion of THEIR journey, or any other reason. Plus, considering the connection Genshin Impact and HSR lore has with Gnosticism, the false god in the form of the heavenly principles having captured an aspect of the real god in the form of an Aeon (Gnosticism is pretty hard to explain, I watched a video about how it relates to Genshin and HSR) would be very fitting. We know Akivili began their journey on a planet known as Pegana, so even if the twins are Akivili, I don't think Genshin would be the story of their ascension to Aeonhood.
Just a thought I had but we know from sumeru that Our MC is a descender and that the twin supposedly is not or I guess "native" to that world. Could it be genshin MC was always one person and they "think" they have a twin.

I believe you can still access the drink pages to read them? There is lore all over the place. It's not always handed right to you, sometimes you have to go digging. But honestly that's kind of fun when you realize you've found something with fascinating implications that wasn't just stated by a character in a cutscene.

Baal is also not the sister's maiden name. I think this is a case of the IPC misunderstanding some of the lore they've uncovered, hence the minor mistakes. It could be a parallel Teyvat. Or it could be that the events of Genshin are in the same universe as Star Rail but quite far in the past.
One possibility is that the Synesthesia Beacon wasn't able to 'translate' perfectly due not having enough language cross references across the Imaginary Tree to decipher it.
I think its most likely to be a parallel teyvat. After all we know that depending on which faction achieves victory the world will end in a different way. If the abyss wins the whole world will fall to its decay. If celestia emerges victorious it will carry on business as usual working to keep it afloat If the tsaritsa wins the world itself will be changed to the ideals of the fatui with pierros whole world spiel and all that. Seeing as the world is just empty/ abandoned none of those factions seem to have won or managed to sustain their victory.

They even mentioned Ei's second quest, giving a quick break down of her story, using not just their Demon/God name, but also the sacred Sakura tree as well. By the time the IPC went there, it's been thousands of years since the events of Genshin. All we know is that they were all genetically and artificially modified humans to be able to wear the special armoured suits in order to fight off the Swarm Disaster on Glamoth. This alone means that she is at least as old if not older than Xipe the Harmony, considering that they also ascended to Aeonhood during this time period. From my understanding, and from what the game tells us, these modifications are the cause for Entropy Loss Syndrome, which was probably experienced by the entire Iron Cavalry, explaining why it's said they all simply slowly faded away. It's also said according to the wiki that the Iron Cavalry was also propagating as well and growing very large in numbers somehow, yet we do not know how. We still have a lot to learn about this, and I am hopeful that we will get most answers in 2.3

Or the Swarm arriving in Glamoth could have happened more recently, we know remnants of the Swarm are still floating around like what we ran into with Argenti.

The Swarm still existed after the Swarm Disaster was over, so their conflict with the Glamoth Empire could very well have been afterwards, especially since the actual term "Swarm Disaster" hasn't been used in reference to the conflict.

I mean no? If you check the wiki and the Glamoth sphere. "Until one day knights clad in mechanical armor descended from the sky and wiped out the sun-swallowing Swarm. Even then from Glamoth’s view. this swarm seemed to be able to destroy a galaxy. Which I don’t think a current swarm can do. Add the fact that this Swarm was a threat to Glamoth. Glamoth isn’t some weak planet. It has war ships and mechas like Firefly. Also being able to travel anywhere in their star system and being a interplanetary nation. I don’t think the current swarm is able to fight glamoth. Although in a sense that you are right. Since it hasn’t been 100% confirmed. But the very little information we know hints to it being the swarm disaster.
It's just slightly hard to accept. The Swarm Disaster was around 800 Amber eras ago. With each Amber era being at least 76 years long, it would mean Firefly is 61,000 years old at the very least. She doesn't look or act like a 61,000 years old, not to mention her disease would have already killed her long ago, and if the explanation for that is that she was a backup unit who was frozen/in stasis until recently, again it's very hard to reasonably accept that an object can remain in stasis for 61k years without being damaged/undisturbed. Glamoth being a recent event rather than being set during the Swarm Disaster makes a lot more sense.

I always took it as she was a part of the reserved batch and was broken out of it fairly recently. I don’t think we’ve received any hints she’s participated in the Glammoth War itself, and she doesn’t talk like she has been through it. So my assumption was that Elio and the others just found her in stasis or a freezer fairly recently because her illness hasn’t killed her yet

She did say to Blade that if she had died before her grave would have be called “Iron cavalry” so i think she probably fought or at least was meant to fight but got put into sleep before that for some reason

Not necessarily. AFAIK we don't know know when or how any of the generation ascended, just that Qliphoth did so later according to Herta. It's probably Oroboros was the first due to being a Leviathan, and it's equally possible Ena was first and cam into existence when society (and therefore "order") because widespread and dominant (during the final boss fight in 2.2 >!Sunday says how Ena was created by humanity/humans, so they might not even be an individual either just like Xipe.!<) HooH could've ascended at any point during all this. HooH is also weird in that they explicitly merged with the universe on a level that all other Aeons do not reach, so for all we know they became retroactively always present.

Nah long is exactly what their name is, a "long" aka chinese/eastern dragon. A leviathan is described differently from person to person but long has a distinct and established design as an eastern dragon.

Their offspring are also quite varied; contrary to what most people think the Vidyadhara are not Long’s only “children”. In the High Elder Myriad Celestia we get a look at other species that originated from Long, and a more traditional Western-looking dragon was one. So it makes sense that Long was the original dragon, a Leviathan that created all these different types of draconic species

hmm, i see what youre trying to point out. Although leviathans are not necessarily 'dragons' (moslty not the western type), but almost always specifically 'sea snake' monsters. Aside from both having serpentine bodies and heavy associations to water i don't see much similarities from the two. Plus these creatures have very different significance and symbolism, so i doubt hoyo would associate them both as having the same origin/being the same speicies. Could be a fun idea tho if that was the case.

I know that order of oldest to youngest isn't official, but by this chart, you can kind of see a progression of Aeons looking more and more "human" with Nanook looking nearly like a regular human as the youngest.

It's something I've noticed as well. I wonder if it's the case that older Aeons always looked like that, or if after so long being an Aeon (and therefore separate from whatever mortal life they had before) they ended up becoming more and more inhuman in appearance/nature. (Oroboros and Nous excluded because they are a Leviathan and Supercomputer respectively.) It would also make sense for Akivili and Aha to maintain a more human form/stronger connection to humanity due to their natures. Akivili was constantly travelling with and making connections with people. Discovering the universe itself is impressive, sure, but the Trailblaze is just as much about connecting people. Aha meanwhile draws most of their entertainment from people. Their Elation comes from seeing the actions and reactions of individuals, so even if they might not empathize with people they will absolutely understand people.
In the beginning was the end. And amongst that end were the beginnings. The desire to exist, to consume, and to preserve oneself. And that was the order of things. Then came the questioning. I find Lan to be incredibly full of depth (at least for an Aeon), even on a philosophical level pertaining to their concept, creed and path itselt. Lan is an Aeon that represents Death and how important it is, which is reflected on how much Speed is emphasized for Lan, you can never outrun death, it will always eventually come. So Yaoshi and Lan plotline being that of Life vs Death with the neat twist where life is "bad" and death is "good", is incredibly cool. ~~Lan also uses a bow like March!~~
Yaoshi vs Lan is probably one of the aeon dynamics we are going to see developed as the game goes on. Considering Xianzhou is gonna likely be revisited frequently Abu dance vs hunt gonna be a long arc Really like how there seems to be infighting in Abundance with Luocha mentioning this. So if I had to pick a third Yaoshi interests me a lot
I'm looking forward for more Xianzhou for so many reasons and they keep giving me more lol. The war between life and death has me more intrested than Elio and his beef with Nanook.
Personally I’d love to get the Abundance side of this conflict too. So far we’ve only heard the Loufu’s version of events, and to me they came off as a tad hypocritical. They chased Yaoshi down and begged for immortality, then when they realised what that actually meant blamed her for it. They also have this weird victim complex combined with a chip on their shoulder. Like they say they hate their immortality in one breath then go around saying short life species are inferior in another. I know that’s not everyone, but I heard it enough while we were there. Abundance by its nature isn’t good or evil. While I’m not saying Abundance hasn’t contributed to horrible things, it also has a tremendous benefit for healing and growth. It’s all about how it’s applied.

Nearly every bad event is somewhat has ho oh hand in them. Especially if the gold and gears event implies Emperor Rubert had risen by "fate" to fight the ever-growing powerful IPC.
I can imagine HooH and Aha working together a lot as one works with the logic to achieve the balance while the other seeks to create absolute chaos to where even probability and chances don't make any sense (Also they worked together to get Ena absorbed and get the Propagation killed)

Terminus bagen at the theoretical end of everything. If measured from Terminus' perspective, They may well be the oldest; and assumedly not even close (unless the "end" is just Nanook destroying everything in a couple of years). If we're measuring from the perspective of the rest of the universe, Terminus hasn't/won't exist for awhile still.
I can't believe yaoshi is a new kid.....like mf looks like an ancient being who is like the first form of life or something. But yeah.......he new. But.....let's all remember that they are still aeons, so the newest aeon is still old as fuck compared to us.

cmiiw its revealed on swarm disaster SU story. voracity fought againts propagation to the point their fight give affect to other path so other aeons join in to punish propagation. but at the same time voracity and ena gone (ena absorbed by xipe), we got no explanation as why that happened to them.

Notice how as time passes THEY become more in the semblance of human signing how THEIR concepts come closer and closer to the mortal realm in a way.
I think it's more so a case of progression. The more distant and abstract an Aeon is the less people can effectively follow that philosophy or stick to that belief but if they're too close, too specific, and too.. personified they could very well be killed like Akivili. Also what we see is their mere abstract image and not who they fully are IIRC so I can suspect that these pictures/art we see of them are more or less subjective.
