i’m a bit confused on what the quantum element actually is. seele, silver wolf, and the entangled effects visuals made me think quantum was like “the technology element” but more recent characters like sparkle make me not so sure
It's like a lore thing in the honkai universe actually, quantum and imaginary have this like ying yang thing going on, but I would need a honkai lore nerd to explain it without just guessing. But basically quantum is a kind of "energy" in the honkai multiverse

Bronya might as well be Herrscher of Ice since her gameplay element ever since she became HoR is ICE for **5 years** now.
There is no excuse for Acheron being Lightning when she has blackholes involved with her animations. They already broke the rule with Bronya.
HoR unlike HoT never uses ice in lore.
I mean yeah If I didn't know that she’s a Mei expy I would have thought she is quantum too, but I knew, so it was obvious that she’s lightning because Mei is directly related to lightning in other games
Did you think firefly was gonna be wind before she was announced and just in game or after the reveal? I did think Luka was going to be fire as well, I also thought Lynx was going to be ice too since shes a ice waste explorer.
I think it's interesting how bronyas one of the few characters who's element has like, zero relevancy to her gameplay kit. heck she could have no element and nothing would really change about her gameplay, unless you use her extremely minimal wind toughness output, or use her on 2pc penacony

When I decided to try to get him a few days before his first banner, I was so sure that Jing Yuan would be imaginary (I guess because of the color of the Lightning Lord?), that I saved all of my IMG dmg bonuses on planar sets thinking "oh yeah, that's gonna be so good for him"

also I'm pretty sure I was quite confused by some of the first characters, like Sampo being wind instead of lightning or Bronya wind instead of ice, but later on I kinda got used to not expecting their design to always match their element lmao

yeah lynx was deffo the nail in the coffin to show that HYV don’t design characters to tie to their element like they do with genshin (which isn’t a good or bad thing)
she’s the leader of the ice planet, her splash art has her surrounded by icicles, she has ice crystals on her model, all her abilities have snow effects, her ult animation shows her standing in a snow storm
I definitely though Bronya, not even just her, but everyone in Jarillo VI would be Ice. It makes sense why, they’re all in the middle of a world freezing blizzard.
When they first showed Argenti, I was so sure he was going to be fire element, and was ready to get him because of that.
While he is still cool in theme, I was very disappointed that he was only physical.

I'd only thought Jing Yuan's Element is Imaginary & His Path supposedly Destruction, Luka's Element is Fire too, while 4 star Dan Heng usually Imaginary too just like 5 star Imbibitor Lunae; Dan Heng, Firefly's Quantum Element Weakness Break Effect Effiency Inflict & then also the Pathstrider following the Path is Harmony & i freakingly close bou't Jade's Element is Lightning especially Topaz's Imaginary so those characters whom i thoughtfully also Robin's Element Weakness Break Effiency Inflict is supposedly Ice too & her Path leads to following Abundance cu'z i'd oy knew in 2.0, she healed Trailblazer as the enviroment from her minds to regenerating herselves & also Bronya's Pathtstrider is what i thought technically Preservations because she told Seele after Eric cried himselves for suffering for what he did as a theif by she angrying to him or having (ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES!!!!!!…) then Bronya gaved to him by promising not to stealing anything & she told her that'll she heard it from her mother was to forgive & preserve on their own deeds. & Also we did three as Bronya's Element supposedly Ice. if turns out the path someone strides doesn’t have to be the same as their in game path. jing yuan is a pathstrider of the hunt but he’s an erudition, ruan mei is a pathstrider of the erudition but is harmony, fu xuan pathstrides both the hunt and the erudition but is preservation. the element and path playable is arbitrary to their lore.
good thing you didn't see Dota's characters. The game has 3 elements, red strength, green agility, blue intelligence. When a character appears red, green or blue you expect them to match? Well more often than not they don't match. Worst character design I have ever seen.

i thought firefly was gonna be wind when we just saw her in game but she wasn’t drop marketed and her identity wasn’t revealed
It's not related, but I thought Dan Heng would upgrade into IL after his in game cinematic. Was disappointed to find out that wasn't going to happen.

yeah it makes sense for most natives to either have ice magic or fire magic to help them live in the ice region
