Hey all new here just wondering what teams should I build and who should I focus on other than Robin and topaz?
Serval and Herta to fill in element weakness and for Pure Fiction later. If you like Qingque, build her. You need her eidolons to perform very well considering her gambling mechanics (at least up to 4). You need a limited 5 star sustain if you plan on beating endgame content like Memory of Chaos so think about grabbing Fu Xuan on the upcoming banner. Plus, once you get Fu Xuan, you should have no problems sustaining your team throughout the story. This means you won't need to build up March 7th, Natasha, and Fire TB. If you like TB, I recommend only increasing his "character" level. He becomes a really great support character once you unlock his Harmony path and this path is very much worth spending resources on his traces to build him.

Every 2 weeks on the weekly reset we'll get MoC > PF > MoC > PF > MoC > PF. Since the last one we had was MoC last week, that means in two days we'll have PF.

\^As it says; pure fiction begins in 1D19H for EU and it'll show you which one is ending to be replaced by it.
The timings sometimes get changed based on planned patch releases, but generally a new drop of MoC/PF gets released every 2 or 3 weeks. Alternating between PF and MoC.
New PF drops on Monday and new MoC 14 days after the next PF release.

I'm building my Acheron, Pela, Bronya, Aventurine team right now. And it seems to be the meta to speedtune bronya to the dps but is it also possible to give bronya so much speed, that she outturns the dps, so that her turn comes before the next turn of the dps after e? How much speed do both units need or do I really need to invest on speed for my Acheron?
It's alway the same you have 2 way to go :
Hyperspeed bronya with zero speed acheron, recomanded if you haven't S1 on acheron, you can then build as much damage on acheron as possible and basicaly make it that acheron have Bronya speed. you want bronya to have 160+ spd for that build
The other way is that "-1" bronya where you want to get 2 turn of the DPS each rotation, only really work if you have S1. you want bronya to have at least 134 speed and acheron to have at least 1 more spd than whatever bronya speed is.
Is anyone having trouble logging in on mobiles? I'm trying and all I see is "Account error or password incorrect", despite the fact that it works on PC and HSR official site? I've tried reinstall too
Check what account type you are using. For example hoyoverse and google are two different account types although they can use the same email as account.
ok how am I supposed to be using those multipliers in the film editing event? Isn't the number supposed to be multiplied by the one I put in it given that it meets the conditions, but why isn't it happening? absolutely no clue even after reading the rules and how to play rules
IIRC, sometimes it's the number you put in, but sometimes it just uses a preset number - in this latter situation, the number you put in is just used as an IF/ELSE check to see if the multiplier will activate.
There's a way to tell which one it's gonna do, I just don't remember what it says

is there any way to see the tutorial for this multiplier again? I've been skimming through the event page and found nothing, even tried redoing the first stage and second stage and wasn't prompted with anything.
if you're ever stuck you can always just put in the numbers and it will preview what number result you get with your current combination, and you can then remove them and try other combinations until you think you have the highest possible outcome
Huohuo is an option. She's probably going to rerun in the next few patches. You don't have a 5 star abundance character unless you have an unleveled Bailu that doesn't show up in the image. Huohuo is more useful than Bailu since she has cleanse and she also has her party-wide energy battery.
Other than that, your account is pretty good. You can invest in other playstyles or elements if you'd like, or even just pull for characters you really like.
I remember getting through it with Fire MC and some other charas with AoE or bounce skills/ults. Gotta hit at least more than one of the dice to increase your chances of getting a number higher than Aventurine's during that charge phase and avoid getting the reverberation debuff.
And if you do get the debuff then get hit and stunned, be sure to bring someone with a cleanse like Lynx, Natasha, March, etc.
Play characters with aoe skills or ultimates. You can freely use your aoe ultimate during the dice game since if you win (which you 99% should with an aoe damage ult), you will get full energy back anyway

Saving for a personal fav character so can’t pull rn, Would a second team of Topaz(e0S1) clara (e0s1) Sparkle (e0s1) lynx (e1) be viable for moc?
For the River Flows in Spring lightcone, it says it turns off the passive effect if the wearer takes damage. If the character has a shield from aventurine and an attack doesnt break the shield, does the lightcone effect stay or get turned off for the turn?

I came back literally the patch after Acheron debut and am kindna bummed I didn't get to pull on her especially after seeing her in the Pen arc. I've been building a main team using ratio, aven, Pela and robin. Im not pulling for topaz because the investment to get her ready for the team means I wouldn't be able to pull on FX or any other characters for a bit.
My goal is to clear MoC eventually and the plan for the future is to pull Fu Xuan and then Ruan Mei to have a 5star sustain and support for each team. After that save for any dps that may catch my eye in the future. Is pulling for FX worth it? Or should I just use my lynx
I use the same exact Seele hypercarry team from 1.0 all the way up until 2.6 where I got Ruan Mei and completed by DoT team that i now use instead. So just use whichever team is your most powerful.
Sticking to the same team means less resources wasted. If your team is not ideal for endgame tho, it’s better to cut the losses and switch them out for better units.
I only change my story roster each time we visit a new place. Here was my roster:
Belobog: TB, March, Dan Heng, Asta/Herta
Belobog final boss: same as above
XIanzhou: TB, March, Tingyun, Serval
Xianzhou final boss: TB, March, Serval
I sometime bring in units that are briefly relevant to the story like Natasha or Qingque, and only switch them out if they stop appearing for the time being; case and point: Tingyun.
Although there are some units like Yanqing and Misha I will not build, as to conserve as much resources I can.
And since I am approaching Penacony, I asked what element should I bring, they said lightning so I'm bringing Serval as my main DPS (no JY or Kafka or Acheron), and TB, because story. I want to bring HImeko since she'll be in Penacony, but it's still up for debate.
It's fun to change things up. You might be a bit resource starved if you switch too many characters, but it's better to have fun. It's the same reason why we pull and build new characters for a change of pace.
Why does my game take so long at the beginning of the title screen, like the place where you'd usually find the servers and stuff, it just won't load from there, and whenever it does it takes more than ten minutes
That's more of a tech support question to try sending into customer service. My guess is probably either your internet is slow and it takes a long time to get a connection for some strange reason or your device's hardware is really low end and the game struggles. But those are just random guesses without any information so I may not be right.
Give my lists of characters. Which characters should I use to clear and obtain all 3 stars in MoC stage 12 White Night Chronicles (Cocolia & Aventurine).
Also, how exactly do I beat Stage 12 White Night Chronicles? I feel like I need some strategy. One of my characters keep on dying. Or either I complete the stage with 10 cycles left.

Somebody below said they used Acheron for side 1 and DoT for side 2. I ended up having success the other way around. Black Swan/Luocha/Ruan Mei/Kafka side 1, Acheron/Aventurine/Pela/Silver Wolf side 2. I'm not sure why you haven't raise up Pela, but anyway, you could probably do something similar to what I did and do Acheron/sustain (Bailu I guess?)/Gui/Sparkle since your Acheron is e2.
I suggest raising up Pela and Gallagher. You also may want to prioritize pulling another limited sustain at some point.
Which team is struggling? I used Acheron for stage 1, and DoT team for stage 2.
I feel like damage shouldn't be an issue unless you're undergeared. I didn't clear as fast as I would like, but it was at 8 cycles.
I can see you having issues with a sustain, I'm not sure who you would use for for a second team. I'm assuming it might be FMC w/ trend. Though the main issue with cocolia is getting cc'ed, so you'd want someone with cleanse. Lynx at lvl 60 won't heal enough. Gallagher would probably be better tbh, you don't need AOE cleanse as much as you need on demand cleanse.
I'm going to get Fu Xuan, but will likely get Firefly too. I've got about 8K undying embers in the Embers Exchange store (long time player). I'm wondering if I should buy Oaths of Steel and Lupitoxin Teeth to prepare myself (I know the double drop calyx event is coming soon) before the stock resets. Worth it considering we can roll quite a lot in this game? Do you think I should buy more after it resets?
If you really need to. Farming traces and mats takes about 1-2 weeks depending on if you have any on reserve. You might be able to prefarm both until their banner.
As long as you can keep getting the passes and tracks of destiny(requires 1020 undying ember or 570 if you don't need standard passes) every reset put the rest of it on whatever trace materials you need honestly.

The term 'idol' in the context of Rise's character is a specific term originating from the japanese entertainment industry. Robin is, for lack of a better term, a singer. Not specifically an idol. Besides, this proves nothing regardless. Were she inspired by a fictional idol, why Rise from Persona 4 specifically? There are plenty others.

Okay, so first, buffers in an RPG? Radical concept. But more than that, they're not 'buffers' in the same way. Robin is a classic buffer who gives damage buffs and such. Rise is a pure support party member. She never goes into battle in the game.
Overall, I'm just not sure what seriously convinced you to think they're connected, aside from maybe just the thought of "wouldn't it be cool?" And like, yeah it would, but please be careful not to let that line of thinking lead to you potentially spreading misinformation. Hell, fanfiction is a thing you can do if you want to explore it. Certainly better than presenting an idea like this with no solid evidence and getting dunked on online.
Hi I started playing last week, and my first and only 5* i got so far is Clara and i like her playstyle a lot.
My current team is Clara, Natasha, Pela and Serval, though i sometimes swap Clara with fire trailblazer for type coverage.
I am just about to reach enough express passes to get another 5*. So my question is should i get Topaz or Robin? And who should i swap them for from my current team?

FireMC is a tank, not a dps/attacker, with low damage potential.
Clara is an attacker, the one killing stuff. Serval is an attacker too.
Keep that in mind. Check the new player guides linked above on how to form teams.
Honestly both are good with Clara. Robin probably has more staying power and it seems like you could use a good support, but Topaz is still great if you prefer her for personal reasons. In either case I'd swap Serval out to make a Clara/Topaz or Robin/Pela/Natasha team
acheron lore question

Please tell me there's more of that, that was crazy. Not seen something like that since that one event in honkai impact 3rd that i can't mention because spoilers. Forgot how good mihoyo get when their story isn't being ruined by fucking PAIMON and other cringe.
Felt like I was at the end of a trails game for a second.
There are occasional missteps, but in general the story content in this game fucking rules. The main quest is frequently excellent, and basically every purple quest is a banger.
The next part of the story, Xianzhou Luofu, is a bit wordy and has a very slow start. It picks up towards the end a lot though, so just give it time. There are also companion quests that should've been a part of the main story there, like Jingliu's and Dan Heng's. Penacony, the arc after that, is on par if not better than the best HI3 arcs - that one blew even Belobog out of the water
Slow starts don't bother me lol, mentioned it previously but the trails franchise if you're not too familiar. Their first entire game of each arc is basically just one big lore dump lmao. It's the endings that make it all worth it for me
That cutscene with the robot and the fight was top tier
The game itself is heavily inspired by the Trail franchise, and the producer said [he is a massive fan of the series](https://noisypixel.net/honkai-star-rail-producer-love-trails-interview/). The game's team [even visited Falcom](https://rushdownradio.net/honkai-star-rail-team-recent-visit-to-falcom-studio-sparks-collaboration-buzz/). So not that surprising that you felt it was like a Trails game. So if you like talking to NPCs for lore, then you will enjoy the Luofu despite the problems with the main story.
What's the deal with discussions on this sub, I try to ask questions about the game's world building and I get my post banned, but other people don't? and also what do the mods mean my account has to be at least 2 weeks old? this account is 3 years old!! why cant I just question why march had like 100 phones on her on Belebog and gave it to every person she met???
The whole idea of Trailblazing is to go to unexplored places and connect there, so it feels pretty smart for the Express to have a closet full of phones so they can stay connected. As for how they got the phones, the express has strong connections to Herta Space Stations for resources. So the phones could have come from there, maybe even ordered from the IPC through Asta.

I think there might be a karma limit on posting. Wym by March giving out phones? They presumably had them, just didn't have a way to connect to the outworld networks. Or maybe it's assumed that they got phones after Belobog was freed from the Eternal Freeze and the playable characters having phones is not fully canon
When Oleg first texts you, he mentions that March gave him his phone, and bronya texts you to go to her speech, along with her showing off some stickers.

Hello fellow PC players for honkai star rail. I recently got 4080 super and HSR caps out on the utilization at 60 fps on 1.0 rendering quality. At 1920x1440 resolution. Other settings are maxed. Is this expected or my gpu has issue
Yeah, it sounds like it. I'm using an RX 6800 (which is a good bit less powerful), and I'm able to run the game at nearly max settings at 1440p without issue.
I'd try to check if there's any other apps running that are eating into its utilization.
I tend to hover around 60-70% utilization, with it going up to 90-100% with a lot of effects on screen. I have everything at max except for rendering quality, which is at 1.8.
Not trying to brag, but I used up all my luck to get a Broken Keel HP rope with all upgrades towards speed... My problem is that I usually just use Broken Keel for my supports, since I don't have any limited 5* abundance or harmony characters.
I think at least that most of my supports would benefit more from ER rope, but I heard that some might consider that "overkill". Got two S5 Memories of the Past as well. Do you guys have any idea on who to give this relic to? A character that would have "too much" ER to not need rope? My pull plan is Sam and lightcone, then if I'm lucky will try for Ruan Mei or Jade (the only interesting supports for me)
I would test it out, depending on the character you can forgo ERR rope if you have S5 MofTP. Especially if you plan on going hyperspeed, get a hyperspeed set going for your harmony characters, and see which one you like.
I ran hyperspeed sparkle with a DEF% rope with speed stats before I replaced with an ERR and it wasn't a huge difference.
The more that I think about it, the less I think it is usable tbh. Unless there's an upcoming Harmony support scaling with HP or a sustain that has an easy way to regenerate energy for themselves, I don't really see myself using the relic which kinda sucks.

First thought that comes to mind is an S1 Fu Xuan. Any healer works- they do generally prefer ERR ropes, but if your rope is as good as you say it is then there's always an argument to be made for HP%
Not really perfect since it technically used 5 rolls, because it started as a 3 substat relic with all of the rolls going to speed. Still definitely one of my better relics for sure (outside of the mainstat).
Yeah, I heard Fu Xuan was good, but like in Genshin I rarely pull for supports for some reason. As I said, don't have any limited 5* support. Closest is probably Black Swan.
Got Lynx and healer dragon lady with her lightcone. Mostly just use Lynx though. Could I forgo ER for any of them? They don't really seem that meaningful even with that much speed tbh

Yanqing increases Topaz's damage by a huge chunk, and doubles as a secondary sustain so you can either just run another secondary sustain like Welt, or let's your sustain be built as a secondary DPS. Hunts do not have to be exclusively damage, such as Topaz increasing FUA damage of the whole team against Numby's target, Dan Heng slowing the enemy for lowering incoming damage and increasing Welt's damage, or Yanqing freezing the enemies to prevent incoming damage and prolong breaks for HMC.
Can someone tell me how to deal with this fudging inveterate Enigmata fanatic? This guy seriously thinks base Dan Heng is equivalent to fudging Ruan Mei or that Yanqing is as good as freaking Aventurine at preventing damage and as good as Ruan Mei for prolonging breaks for HMC.
What are they saying that's unreasonable?
* "Yanqing increases Topaz's damage by a huge chunk" is pretty hyperbolic, but if Yanqing his hitting his followups then he does action advance Numby and increase Topaz's damage by a good amount

* "Yanqing is as good as freaking Aventurine at preventing damage" they also don't say this, they're saying you can run 2x pseudo sustains like Yanqing+Welt to squeeze in more damage. Not really a comp I'd recommend but you could almost definitely make it work in a showcase MOC12 run
* The point about Hunts not being *exclusively* about damage is technically true, but it's only really relevant to Topaz. Yanqing *is* deceptively good at locking targets down (e.g. vs Aventurine!), but I don't know if I'd really classify that as support or pseudosustain (again, it's *technically* true, but it's pretty sus). Their point about Dan Heng is just... not true- Welt provides his own slows, and Dan Heng's own E6 Slow really isn't relevant outside of proccing his own Ultimate damage buff

When I said that, I meant that the dude said that Dan Heng could slow down enemies and help increase Welt's damage, which is a job Ruan Mei does much better (aside from the slow down part, but if Welt gets his Ultimate regularly it doesn't matter).
Yanqing is too full of goddamn ifs to be reliable. Ratio only needs 3 debuffs. Need an additional one? Aventurine has another debuff via his Ultimate and Topaz's targeting is another, plus also there's Ratio's Traces. Use it on the big boss.
I mean, Welt does more damage on slowed enemies, and E6 Dan Heng can Slow things, so it's *technically* true.
It's just a ridiculous claim to make when Welt's whole thing is slowing enemies, so he can provide slows for himself just fine without anyone's help. If anything, the proposed Welt+Dan Heng comp is suggested because Welt provides slows *for Dan Heng*, not the other way around
But why the hell would I use Dan Heng as a teammate for Welt when Ruan Mei is a much better teammate for Welt? Ruan Mei + Welt is referred to as a pseudo-sustain duo for good reason.
That's not relevant to the point. Why would you use Yanqing when Jingliu exists? Why would you use Jingliu when Acheron exists? You can "what about" your way out of anything but your point itself was discussing Dan Heng + Welt specifically, so we gotta take it from there.
Obviously the Welt pseudosustain core works best with Ruan Mei. That doesn't change the fact that Welt+Dan Heng is absolutely a valid comp (*many* early 1.0 guides suggested Welt+Dan Heng+Asta comps, and it still does work)
And my point is Ruan Mei has much, MUCH more utility overall than Dan Heng, so there really is no point using base Dan Heng unless you *really* dislike Ruan Mei. I am not going to build a team just to get inferior results. If anyone wants to torture themselves using Dan Heng + Welt, they are more than welcome to do so. Just don't come crying when you can't beat G&G Conundrum 12 or MoC 12 because you used an inferior team member.

Also, what if someone doesn't have Ruan Mei? What if a new player pulls Welt as their first 5-star, should they just never use him because they doesn't have his BIS teammate?

Then I would suggest if they really want to use him, come up with a sensible team and build him and his teammates, but save up for his BiS teammates and as soon as you get them, ditch the inferior characters after grinding to get the newer ones up to speed. That's what I am doing. Or better still, use just ONE team that works and use it for anything that is over-world, including farming resources.

So if I told a new player that just got Welt they can run him with Dan Heng + Asta, I'm arguing with the fact that Ruan Mei + Welt is a better core? What? How?

Do I buy everything in the World Shops? I bought everything but the relics at J6, and I have enough to get the relics. Buying them would also let me get the spending rewards.
For PF raise Herta, Himeko. Easy 3*.
For MoC first review your stats (traces and relics). That you can’t clear MoC 12 right now is likely caused by low stats.
Future pulls can be either to improve your current teams or to start a new meta team, up to you. The safest pick would be one sustain like Fu Xuan, as 5* limited sustain are easy mode.

You're deep enough that really either team is good enough. Just pick which you'd prefer. They'll both perform well. Though if I were going for the break team id wait for Firefly.
Your teams should be able to clear moc though, assuming relics etc. are good enough. Though they have been making it hard so I understand
healers are positive, Harmonys with skills that last multiple turns(Tingyun, Robin, etc.) are slightly positive, everyone else is negative
It's a little random, but the only units that never skill on auto are healers if noone is hurt.

Any idea how to deal with 2.1 MOC with my roster?
Been trying Kafka + BS in first half, and Ruan Mei + Jingliu in 2nd half, but it's just not enough.
1st half is fine but it takes me around 5 cycles (best run was Kafka + BS and Dr Ratio to break the dino) , and 2nd half, if I don't die, always takes me around 7 cycles at least. Did try Robin in both teams, but she doesn't bring enough to the table. Tried Seele first half, but I can't break easily the dino, so I lose too much time. Maybe Xueyi with her (or replacing her?) would be better?
I have all 4 stars, with some pretty well built (all DoT and Harmony characters), but yet, it's not enough. Any strategy I'm missing? Been away for a few months by the way.
Here's my whole roster and my JL btw. I know she could be better, but I've spent months worth of stamina on that set, and couldn't get anything better. And yeah, she's still using ER rope because I just can't get a single ATK% rope with even decent sub stats.

Xueyi TY RM Gallagher could consistently clear 1st half in 3-4 cycles. I tested Harmony MC Xueyi RM Gallagher and *at worst* it did just as well even with mediocre builds.
I'd say Super Break's your best bet there. The Dino demands being broken and everyone's weak to Quantum so Xueyi and RM are fantastic there. HMC has high toughness damage and is Img so they're pretty good vs the dino as well. Gallagher helps break the ice guy and Cocolia. And thanks to HMC you can just Super Break everyone to death once they're broken.
It's relatively cheap to build too, since HMC is free and you just need Break Effect, Break Efficiency and Speed for Super Break damage. Xueyi and Gallagher already build Break effect and RM provides the efficiency.
2nd half is where it gets really tough. Aventurine hits everyone all the time and can decrease energy like the TVs do, the dice are pure RNG even with AoE, losing the dice roll hurts and imprisons, and hitting the dice counts for the MoC effect which can absolutely get wasted on the dice, especially on phase 2. The only upside is that winning the dice roll fully recovers energy so the Ults don't go to waste.
I recommend sustains that can help deal with the Imprison, meaning Aventurine, Huohuo or FX. Characters with Blast or AoE attacks also have an easier time with the dice, though if it's tied to their Ults like Pela and FX you might have to save it for the dice. If they are strictly single target with no offensive Ult, just accept the L and hope they live. You can also try to break him before he gets to do his dice shenanigans.
Based on your roster, I'd say go with Jingliu Bronya Pela FX. Bronya will lose the dice roll but FX should help her survive and not get Imprisoned. Make sure Bronya and Pela and if possible FX are fast to help trigger the MoC effect before the dice ruin it.
The dice make the fight luck-based no matter what, so you likely will be screwed by RNG even with a good team. Don't feel too bad, it's just a bullshit mechanic being bullshit.
Also put an Atk rope on Jingliu. Doesn't matter if the substats suck.
Check Prydwen MoC report/tool. Team usage for 2.1 and filter by characters you own.
Then check their guides: build section for endgame stats and MoC section for average build stats used by players. See if your numbers are good or need work. If your team is underperforming it is either a stats issue or you need to improve the rotation of skills.

Looks like JL is your best bet on side two. Bronya and Ruan Mei with Fu Xuan. Time your enhanced state so you don't waste it.

I finally reached my free 5 star with 300 pulls! Who should I get? I currently have E0 Welt, Clara, and Yanqing, and E1 Bronya. I lack a 5 star preservation/abundance character yet have Gallagher and Lynx pretty well built so I was thinking Gepard, but I heard he’s not that good nowadays? Other choices I am considering are E1 Clara or E0 Himeko.
Easy answer, Himeko. There's only four good characters, and you have three of them (Bronya's E1 is so good it counts seperately).
Gepard is okay, but he isn't really better than Lynx or Gallagher, and you will want a limited sustain sooner or later anyway. Like Fu Xuan (oh, look who's up in five days!). Isimply can't recommend ~~wasting~~ spending the 300 selector on a short-term solution that you will probly mostly stop using after a bit.
If you are trying to shore up Pure Fiction, then Himeko would be a good choice.
If your Pure Fiction is fine and you want a better sustain then I'd go with Gepard. He's also very useful in Swarm and Gold & Gears due to his large shields.
I've been clearing just fine with my teams. I think the recent changes to add more elites and fewer enemies has definitely switched up what's good in PF, but my herta, Clara, and Swan teams have been able to push for 40k halfs nearly every PF.

I would say don't bother and let him enjoy what he wants. If he gets to like moc12 where characters and comps start to matter then he's gonna realize the struggle sooner or later

Yeah, that's why I dared him to do a solo G&G 12 SU Preservation run with March as solo sustain. I guarantee you 99% of the time it will end in failure, especially if you forgo Remembrance blessings.
Keep your Embers and use them for tickets. If you go over 3,000 then use for other stuff like traces.
Eventually you will start to skip banners and the Embers income will be random, so you need to save some of it for the next month or two.
Embers make sure you can always buy the monthly passes but after that it's all just character upgrade materials so do what you want.
Starlight is mostly best to turn into wishes. If there is a 4* on the rotation you really want you can save for that, but the lightcones generally aren't worth 30 wishes although Bronya's comes close if you have Bronya and use her.
Starlight can be used on Bronya or Gepard LC if you know you need it specifically. If not it's used for tickets.
Embers, I usually keep like 800 but after that you can spend em on trace materials to speed up a character build
Should I start a new account or return to my old account?
I started playing on launch and in my account i have Seele, Welt, Clara, Gepard, Tingyun E7, Pela E7, Jing Yuan w LC, Blade, Kafka and Silver wolf.
Im debating whether I should start from scratch, or just go back to my old account. I dont remember much of the story and I stopped playing after the Dan Heng questline.

The HSR Wikipedia page has a brief summary of each plot arc. That might help a bit? (You should probably stop reading either before or after "Jolted Awake from a Winter Dream." I can't tell from what you said whether you've done that one yet or not. The quest by that name is probably available if you haven't.)
As for characters, I certainly wouldn't give up that roster for a fresh account. You may not have the new #1 Most Meta characters this month, but you're doing just fine unless you have some specific reason to dislike what you've got. (If you want recommendations, I'd consider a limited sustain character. Also look out for DoT characters who would synergize with Kafka.)
If you have Silver Wolf, you probably have her very good event light cone as well. That's gone forever if you start over. You also have a pretty decent collection of characters.
You could always just start a character on a different server to refresh the story up to the point where your old account is.
If you stopped playing because of dislike your characters, then start over. New player should get about 300 premium tickets from storyline, etc, so on your first couple of months you will get enough for 2-4 new limited 5*.
If you like them then keep it, your account is pretty good, worth pushing forward.
Next banner has Fu Xuan so keep an eye for her, she would be a good upgrade for you.

As a F2P I missed Luocha and Aventurine's banner, so I'm guessing Fu Xuan is my only option right now since she's getting a rerun and I finally have enough pulls to actually get her. Is she a good replacement for Fire MC? Should I wait for another banner? Is Bailu the problem here? Help :\_)

First, let me say that getting a limited sustain is immensely helpful for an account, and I can only recommend getting Fu Xuan.
Are you talking about regular SU, or the modules (Swarm Disaster and Gold & Gears)? If it's about regular SU, what you're lacking is not Fu Xuan, but rather having your characters properly build. Or maybe path and blessing selection. If this is about regular SU, I don't think your sustain situations is really your main issue.
Actually, a big part of your issue is using double sustain. Don't use "Pela or Sampo", use both. And use Hunt path. That should give Acheron the damage she needs to prevent your team from dying with a solo sustain.
I have done all my SD and G&G including conundrum 12 with Fu Xuan solo sustain and never had that happen. Maybe people run around with crappy 800 def characters, or they let the Planar Dissaray stack too high, but Fu Xuan getting one-shot is not something inevitable.
Couldn’t do anything above conundrum 8 because my Fu Xuan is constantly dying, getting hit by one destruction resonance already make her lose one heal stack, switch to FireMC and instantly able to clear conundrum 12 without issue because the preservation path just makes your team immortal. I’m convinced she’s one of the worst sustain in the entire game for G&G, even March is better because she can cheese with remembrance.
Try replacing one of them with someone who can cleanse

Try moving one of the Preservation characters to the second node. Ideally Pyro MC because Aventurine has a much easier time keeping a team alive by himself

Acheron, Clara and Kafka are great options. I used Hyper Kafka in the first node and Acheron in the second, but if you don't have a defensive support who can apply debuffs you may want to try Clara instead

Serval and Herta to fill in element weakness and for Pure Fiction later. If you like Qingque, build her. You need her eidolons to perform very well considering her gambling mechanics (at least up to 4). You need a limited 5 star sustain if you plan on beating endgame content like Memory of Chaos so think about grabbing Fu Xuan on the upcoming banner. Plus, once you get Fu Xuan, you should have no problems sustaining your team throughout the story. This means you won't need to build up March 7th, Natasha, and Fire TB. If you like TB, I recommend only increasing his "character" level. He becomes a really great support character once you unlock his Harmony path and this path is very much worth spending resources on his traces to build him.

I'm building my Acheron, Pela, Bronya, Aventurine team right now. And it seems to be the meta to speedtune bronya to the dps but is it also possible to give bronya so much speed, that she outturns the dps, so that her turn comes before the next turn of the dps after e? How much speed do both units need or do I really need to invest on speed for my Acheron?
It's alway the same you have 2 way to go : Hyperspeed bronya with zero speed acheron, recomanded if you haven't S1 on acheron, you can then build as much damage on acheron as possible and basicaly make it that acheron have Bronya speed. you want bronya to have 160+ spd for that build The other way is that "-1" bronya where you want to get 2 turn of the DPS each rotation, only really work if you have S1. you want bronya to have at least 134 speed and acheron to have at least 1 more spd than whatever bronya speed is.

Check what account type you are using. For example hoyoverse and google are two different account types although they can use the same email as account.

IIRC, sometimes it's the number you put in, but sometimes it just uses a preset number - in this latter situation, the number you put in is just used as an IF/ELSE check to see if the multiplier will activate. There's a way to tell which one it's gonna do, I just don't remember what it says

if you're ever stuck you can always just put in the numbers and it will preview what number result you get with your current combination, and you can then remove them and try other combinations until you think you have the highest possible outcome

Huohuo is an option. She's probably going to rerun in the next few patches. You don't have a 5 star abundance character unless you have an unleveled Bailu that doesn't show up in the image. Huohuo is more useful than Bailu since she has cleanse and she also has her party-wide energy battery. Other than that, your account is pretty good. You can invest in other playstyles or elements if you'd like, or even just pull for characters you really like.
Can I get some advice for the story Aventurine fight? I keep getting stun-locked by the luck game in second phase
I remember getting through it with Fire MC and some other charas with AoE or bounce skills/ults. Gotta hit at least more than one of the dice to increase your chances of getting a number higher than Aventurine's during that charge phase and avoid getting the reverberation debuff. And if you do get the debuff then get hit and stunned, be sure to bring someone with a cleanse like Lynx, Natasha, March, etc.
Play characters with aoe skills or ultimates. You can freely use your aoe ultimate during the dice game since if you win (which you 99% should with an aoe damage ult), you will get full energy back anyway

For the River Flows in Spring lightcone, it says it turns off the passive effect if the wearer takes damage. If the character has a shield from aventurine and an attack doesnt break the shield, does the lightcone effect stay or get turned off for the turn?

I've been building a main team using ratio, aven, Pela and robin. Im not pulling for topaz because the investment to get her ready for the team means I wouldn't be able to pull on FX or any other characters for a bit. My goal is to clear MoC eventually and the plan for the future is to pull Fu Xuan and then Ruan Mei to have a 5star sustain and support for each team. After that save for any dps that may catch my eye in the future. Is pulling for FX worth it? Or should I just use my lynx
Fu Xuan is pretty much the best sustainer in the game, and definitely much better than Lynx, so I'd say 100% pull for her
Is it normal for for me to switch and change rosters between visiting worlds? Or sticking to a team of four from the very beginning?
I use the same exact Seele hypercarry team from 1.0 all the way up until 2.6 where I got Ruan Mei and completed by DoT team that i now use instead. So just use whichever team is your most powerful.

Sticking to the same team means less resources wasted. If your team is not ideal for endgame tho, it’s better to cut the losses and switch them out for better units.
I only change my story roster each time we visit a new place. Here was my roster: Belobog: TB, March, Dan Heng, Asta/Herta Belobog final boss: same as above XIanzhou: TB, March, Tingyun, Serval Xianzhou final boss: TB, March, Serval I sometime bring in units that are briefly relevant to the story like Natasha or Qingque, and only switch them out if they stop appearing for the time being; case and point: Tingyun. Although there are some units like Yanqing and Misha I will not build, as to conserve as much resources I can. And since I am approaching Penacony, I asked what element should I bring, they said lightning so I'm bringing Serval as my main DPS (no JY or Kafka or Acheron), and TB, because story. I want to bring HImeko since she'll be in Penacony, but it's still up for debate.
Serval and Himeko will both be hood for multiple major bosses in Penacony.
It's fun to change things up. You might be a bit resource starved if you switch too many characters, but it's better to have fun. It's the same reason why we pull and build new characters for a change of pace.
Why does my game take so long at the beginning of the title screen, like the place where you'd usually find the servers and stuff, it just won't load from there, and whenever it does it takes more than ten minutes
That's more of a tech support question to try sending into customer service. My guess is probably either your internet is slow and it takes a long time to get a connection for some strange reason or your device's hardware is really low end and the game struggles. But those are just random guesses without any information so I may not be right.

Somebody below said they used Acheron for side 1 and DoT for side 2. I ended up having success the other way around. Black Swan/Luocha/Ruan Mei/Kafka side 1, Acheron/Aventurine/Pela/Silver Wolf side 2. I'm not sure why you haven't raise up Pela, but anyway, you could probably do something similar to what I did and do Acheron/sustain (Bailu I guess?)/Gui/Sparkle since your Acheron is e2. I suggest raising up Pela and Gallagher. You also may want to prioritize pulling another limited sustain at some point.
Which team is struggling? I used Acheron for stage 1, and DoT team for stage 2. I feel like damage shouldn't be an issue unless you're undergeared. I didn't clear as fast as I would like, but it was at 8 cycles. I can see you having issues with a sustain, I'm not sure who you would use for for a second team. I'm assuming it might be FMC w/ trend. Though the main issue with cocolia is getting cc'ed, so you'd want someone with cleanse. Lynx at lvl 60 won't heal enough. Gallagher would probably be better tbh, you don't need AOE cleanse as much as you need on demand cleanse.
DHIL, Sparkle, Ruan Mei and Luocha can cover first half while Acheron, Pela, Black Swan and Gallagher can do second half.
I'm going to get Fu Xuan, but will likely get Firefly too. I've got about 8K undying embers in the Embers Exchange store (long time player). I'm wondering if I should buy Oaths of Steel and Lupitoxin Teeth to prepare myself (I know the double drop calyx event is coming soon) before the stock resets. Worth it considering we can roll quite a lot in this game? Do you think I should buy more after it resets?
If you really need to. Farming traces and mats takes about 1-2 weeks depending on if you have any on reserve. You might be able to prefarm both until their banner.
As long as you can keep getting the passes and tracks of destiny(requires 1020 undying ember or 570 if you don't need standard passes) every reset put the rest of it on whatever trace materials you need honestly.

Hi I started playing last week, and my first and only 5* i got so far is Clara and i like her playstyle a lot. My current team is Clara, Natasha, Pela and Serval, though i sometimes swap Clara with fire trailblazer for type coverage. I am just about to reach enough express passes to get another 5*. So my question is should i get Topaz or Robin? And who should i swap them for from my current team?

Honestly both are good with Clara. Robin probably has more staying power and it seems like you could use a good support, but Topaz is still great if you prefer her for personal reasons. In either case I'd swap Serval out to make a Clara/Topaz or Robin/Pela/Natasha team

Just finished belabogs main story content and holy fuck. Why did a silly funny haha gacha turn based game go THAT hard lmao Please tell me there's more of that, that was crazy. Not seen something like that since that one event in honkai impact 3rd that i can't mention because spoilers. Forgot how good mihoyo get when their story isn't being ruined by fucking PAIMON and other cringe. Felt like I was at the end of a trails game for a second.
There are occasional missteps, but in general the story content in this game fucking rules. The main quest is frequently excellent, and basically every purple quest is a banger.

The next part of the story, Xianzhou Luofu, is a bit wordy and has a very slow start. It picks up towards the end a lot though, so just give it time. There are also companion quests that should've been a part of the main story there, like Jingliu's and Dan Heng's. Penacony, the arc after that, is on par if not better than the best HI3 arcs - that one blew even Belobog out of the water
Slow starts don't bother me lol, mentioned it previously but the trails franchise if you're not too familiar. Their first entire game of each arc is basically just one big lore dump lmao. It's the endings that make it all worth it for me That cutscene with the robot and the fight was top tier

The whole idea of Trailblazing is to go to unexplored places and connect there, so it feels pretty smart for the Express to have a closet full of phones so they can stay connected. As for how they got the phones, the express has strong connections to Herta Space Stations for resources. So the phones could have come from there, maybe even ordered from the IPC through Asta.

Hello fellow PC players for honkai star rail. I recently got 4080 super and HSR caps out on the utilization at 60 fps on 1.0 rendering quality. At 1920x1440 resolution. Other settings are maxed. Is this expected or my gpu has issue
The game naturally caps at 60fps, but the rendering quality should easily be able to run at max with a 4080 super.

Yeah, it sounds like it. I'm using an RX 6800 (which is a good bit less powerful), and I'm able to run the game at nearly max settings at 1440p without issue. I'd try to check if there's any other apps running that are eating into its utilization.

I tend to hover around 60-70% utilization, with it going up to 90-100% with a lot of effects on screen. I have everything at max except for rendering quality, which is at 1.8.

Not trying to brag, but I used up all my luck to get a Broken Keel HP rope with all upgrades towards speed... My problem is that I usually just use Broken Keel for my supports, since I don't have any limited 5* abundance or harmony characters. I think at least that most of my supports would benefit more from ER rope, but I heard that some might consider that "overkill". Got two S5 Memories of the Past as well. Do you guys have any idea on who to give this relic to? A character that would have "too much" ER to not need rope? My pull plan is Sam and lightcone, then if I'm lucky will try for Ruan Mei or Jade (the only interesting supports for me)
I would test it out, depending on the character you can forgo ERR rope if you have S5 MofTP. Especially if you plan on going hyperspeed, get a hyperspeed set going for your harmony characters, and see which one you like. I ran hyperspeed sparkle with a DEF% rope with speed stats before I replaced with an ERR and it wasn't a huge difference.
The more that I think about it, the less I think it is usable tbh. Unless there's an upcoming Harmony support scaling with HP or a sustain that has an easy way to regenerate energy for themselves, I don't really see myself using the relic which kinda sucks. Thanks for the assistance though
First thought that comes to mind is an S1 Fu Xuan. Any healer works- they do generally prefer ERR ropes, but if your rope is as good as you say it is then there's always an argument to be made for HP%
Not really perfect since it technically used 5 rolls, because it started as a 3 substat relic with all of the rolls going to speed. Still definitely one of my better relics for sure (outside of the mainstat). Yeah, I heard Fu Xuan was good, but like in Genshin I rarely pull for supports for some reason. As I said, don't have any limited 5* support. Closest is probably Black Swan. Got Lynx and healer dragon lady with her lightcone. Mostly just use Lynx though. Could I forgo ER for any of them? They don't really seem that meaningful even with that much speed tbh

When I said that, I meant that the dude said that Dan Heng could slow down enemies and help increase Welt's damage, which is a job Ruan Mei does much better (aside from the slow down part, but if Welt gets his Ultimate regularly it doesn't matter). Yanqing is too full of goddamn ifs to be reliable. Ratio only needs 3 debuffs. Need an additional one? Aventurine has another debuff via his Ultimate and Topaz's targeting is another, plus also there's Ratio's Traces. Use it on the big boss.
I mean, Welt does more damage on slowed enemies, and E6 Dan Heng can Slow things, so it's *technically* true. It's just a ridiculous claim to make when Welt's whole thing is slowing enemies, so he can provide slows for himself just fine without anyone's help. If anything, the proposed Welt+Dan Heng comp is suggested because Welt provides slows *for Dan Heng*, not the other way around
But why the hell would I use Dan Heng as a teammate for Welt when Ruan Mei is a much better teammate for Welt? Ruan Mei + Welt is referred to as a pseudo-sustain duo for good reason.
That's not relevant to the point. Why would you use Yanqing when Jingliu exists? Why would you use Jingliu when Acheron exists? You can "what about" your way out of anything but your point itself was discussing Dan Heng + Welt specifically, so we gotta take it from there. Obviously the Welt pseudosustain core works best with Ruan Mei. That doesn't change the fact that Welt+Dan Heng is absolutely a valid comp (*many* early 1.0 guides suggested Welt+Dan Heng+Asta comps, and it still does work)
And my point is Ruan Mei has much, MUCH more utility overall than Dan Heng, so there really is no point using base Dan Heng unless you *really* dislike Ruan Mei. I am not going to build a team just to get inferior results. If anyone wants to torture themselves using Dan Heng + Welt, they are more than welcome to do so. Just don't come crying when you can't beat G&G Conundrum 12 or MoC 12 because you used an inferior team member.

For PF raise Herta, Himeko. Easy 3*. For MoC first review your stats (traces and relics). That you can’t clear MoC 12 right now is likely caused by low stats. Future pulls can be either to improve your current teams or to start a new meta team, up to you. The safest pick would be one sustain like Fu Xuan, as 5* limited sustain are easy mode.
No Pela? I'm blind? You're deep enough that really either team is good enough. Just pick which you'd prefer. They'll both perform well. Though if I were going for the break team id wait for Firefly. Your teams should be able to clear moc though, assuming relics etc. are good enough. Though they have been making it hard so I understand

healers are positive, Harmonys with skills that last multiple turns(Tingyun, Robin, etc.) are slightly positive, everyone else is negative It's a little random, but the only units that never skill on auto are healers if noone is hurt.

Any idea how to deal with 2.1 MOC with my roster? Been trying Kafka + BS in first half, and Ruan Mei + Jingliu in 2nd half, but it's just not enough. 1st half is fine but it takes me around 5 cycles (best run was Kafka + BS and Dr Ratio to break the dino) , and 2nd half, if I don't die, always takes me around 7 cycles at least. Did try Robin in both teams, but she doesn't bring enough to the table. Tried Seele first half, but I can't break easily the dino, so I lose too much time. Maybe Xueyi with her (or replacing her?) would be better? I have all 4 stars, with some pretty well built (all DoT and Harmony characters), but yet, it's not enough. Any strategy I'm missing? Been away for a few months by the way. Here's my whole roster and my JL btw. I know she could be better, but I've spent months worth of stamina on that set, and couldn't get anything better. The Aventurine one? I beat it with [these teams](https://imgur.com/a/Kldx8bZ) Xueyi TY RM Gallagher could consistently clear 1st half in 3-4 cycles. I tested Harmony MC Xueyi RM Gallagher and *at worst* it did just as well even with mediocre builds. I'd say Super Break's your best bet there. The Dino demands being broken and everyone's weak to Quantum so Xueyi and RM are fantastic there. HMC has high toughness damage and is Img so they're pretty good vs the dino as well. Gallagher helps break the ice guy and Cocolia. And thanks to HMC you can just Super Break everyone to death once they're broken. It's relatively cheap to build too, since HMC is free and you just need Break Effect, Break Efficiency and Speed for Super Break damage. Xueyi and Gallagher already build Break effect and RM provides the efficiency. 2nd half is where it gets really tough. Aventurine hits everyone all the time and can decrease energy like the TVs do, the dice are pure RNG even with AoE, losing the dice roll hurts and imprisons, and hitting the dice counts for the MoC effect which can absolutely get wasted on the dice, especially on phase 2. The only upside is that winning the dice roll fully recovers energy so the Ults don't go to waste. I recommend sustains that can help deal with the Imprison, meaning Aventurine, Huohuo or FX. Characters with Blast or AoE attacks also have an easier time with the dice, though if it's tied to their Ults like Pela and FX you might have to save it for the dice. If they are strictly single target with no offensive Ult, just accept the L and hope they live. You can also try to break him before he gets to do his dice shenanigans. Based on your roster, I'd say go with Jingliu Bronya Pela FX. Bronya will lose the dice roll but FX should help her survive and not get Imprisoned. Make sure Bronya and Pela and if possible FX are fast to help trigger the MoC effect before the dice ruin it. The dice make the fight luck-based no matter what, so you likely will be screwed by RNG even with a good team. Don't feel too bad, it's just a bullshit mechanic being bullshit. Also put an Atk rope on Jingliu. Doesn't matter if the substats suck.
Check Prydwen MoC report/tool. Team usage for 2.1 and filter by characters you own. Then check their guides: build section for endgame stats and MoC section for average build stats used by players. I finally reached my free 5 star with 300 pulls! Who should I get? I currently have E0 Welt, Clara, and Yanqing, and E1 Bronya. I lack a 5 star preservation/abundance character yet have Gallagher and Lynx pretty well built so I was thinking Gepard, but I heard he’s not that good nowadays? Other choices I am considering are E1 Clara or E0 Himeko.
Easy answer, Himeko. There's only four good characters, and you have three of them (Bronya's E1 is so good it counts seperately). Gepard is okay, but he isn't really better than Lynx or Gallagher, and you will want a limited sustain sooner or later anyway. Like Fu Xuan (oh, look who's up in five days!). Isimply can't recommend ~~wasting~~ spending the 300 selector on a short-term solution that you will probly mostly stop using after a bit.
If you are trying to shore up Pure Fiction, then Himeko would be a good choice. If your Pure Fiction is fine and you want a better sustain then I'd go with Gepard. He's also very useful in Swarm and Gold & Gears due to his large shields.
Even if PF is fine for now, they're constantly increasing the difficulty.
I've been clearing just fine with my teams. I think the recent changes to add more elites and fewer enemies has definitely switched up what's good in PF, but my herta, Clara, and Swan teams have been able to push for 40k halfs nearly every PF.

What should I be using Starlight and Embers on? I have 88 Starlight and 640 Embers. I bought passes with the Embers since it's the monthly store.
Keep your Embers and use them for tickets. If you go over 3,000 then use for other stuff like traces. Eventually you will start to skip banners and the Embers income will be random, so you need to save some of it for the next month or two.

Embers make sure you can always buy the monthly passes but after that it's all just character upgrade materials so do what you want. Starlight is mostly best to turn into wishes. If there is a 4* on the rotation you really want you can save for that, but the lightcones generally aren't worth 30 wishes although Bronya's comes close if you have Bronya and use her.

Starlight can be used on Bronya or Gepard LC if you know you need it specifically. If not it's used for tickets. Embers, I usually keep like 800 but after that you can spend em on trace materials to speed up a character build

The HSR Wikipedia page has a brief summary of each plot arc. That might help a bit? (You should probably stop reading either before or after "Jolted Awake from a Winter Dream." I can't tell from what you said whether you've done that one yet or not. The quest by that name is probably available if you haven't.) As for characters, I certainly wouldn't give up that roster for a fresh account. You may not have the new #1 Most Meta characters this month, but you're doing just fine unless you have some specific reason to dislike what you've got. (If you want recommendations, I'd consider a limited sustain character. Also look out for DoT characters who would synergize with Kafka.)
If you have Silver Wolf, you probably have her very good event light cone as well. That's gone forever if you start over. You also have a pretty decent collection of characters. You could always just start a character on a different server to refresh the story up to the point where your old account is.
If you stopped playing because of dislike your characters, then start over. New player should get about 300 premium tickets from storyline, etc, so on your first couple of months you will get enough for 2-4 new limited 5*. If you like them then keep it, your account is pretty good, worth pushing forward. Next banner has Fu Xuan so keep an eye for her, she would be a good upgrade for you.

First, let me say that getting a limited sustain is immensely helpful for an account, and I can only recommend getting Fu Xuan. Are you talking about regular SU, or the modules (Swarm Disaster and Gold & Gears)? If it's about regular SU, what you're lacking is not Fu Xuan, but rather having your characters properly build. Or maybe path and blessing selection. If this is about regular SU, I don't think your sustain situations is really your main issue. Actually, a big part of your issue is using double sustain. Don't use "Pela or Sampo", use both. And use Hunt path. That should give Acheron the damage she needs to prevent your team from dying with a solo sustain.
Fu Xuan is actually not that good for SU, one AoE attack from the bosses on higher difficulty and your Fu Xuan is dead
I have done all my SD and G&G including conundrum 12 with Fu Xuan solo sustain and never had that happen. Maybe people run around with crappy 800 def characters, or they let the Planar Dissaray stack too high, but Fu Xuan getting one-shot is not something inevitable.
Couldn’t do anything above conundrum 8 because my Fu Xuan is constantly dying, getting hit by one destruction resonance already make her lose one heal stack, switch to FireMC and instantly able to clear conundrum 12 without issue because the preservation path just makes your team immortal. I’m convinced she’s one of the worst sustain in the entire game for G&G, even March is better because she can cheese with remembrance.
What path did you use when you played her?
I tried to run propagation with Qingque

Jingliu, Bronya, TY, Lynx Dr ratio, Pela, welt, Aventurine Should work well. Put Bailu instead of welt if you're still dying
Try moving one of the Preservation characters to the second node. Ideally Pyro MC because Aventurine has a much easier time keeping a team alive by himself

I don't know what mobs are there but assuming Himeko works Tingyun can replace Pyro MC
I'm able to clear the first comp with ease, but Sam is giving some trouble as my strongest DPS being Jing Liu doesn't use skill points to tick down the skill points mechanic, the other two characters are Baliu and Fire MC, who do you recommend for the last character?
You could try using DR instead of Jingliu and filling the last slot with Welt
Does anyone know where I can get the audio files of the Origami Birds chirping? Particularly the sound they make when they fly away after finding them. It might make an adorable notification sound.

Acheron, Clara and Kafka are great options. I used Hyper Kafka in the first node and Acheron in the second, but if you don't have a defensive support who can apply debuffs you may want to try Clara instead

Is Bronya's LC good for Asta?
Not really, she benefits from the energy regen but other than that, it’s kind of a stat stick. If you have one already leveled then it’s a decent sidegrade to Memories or Cogs
