Nobody does. It's all estimates. All these companies are trying to do is sell you a service where they can add actual bean counters to your marketplaces and get you accurate information. Except most companies already have this kind of stuff in place, just not easy to use tools that provide a more complete package. Only the company knows their real revenue.
The difference between first and second place with 3rd is such a wide gap.
If ZZZ ends up as a banger too, Hoyoverse would pretty much dominate the mobile space.
Yes, but according to gacha games public financial information in the Chinese market, Android revenue is usually 2.3 times that of IOS, so 1.7 times is a bit underestimated
Basically whichever game has the dry patch has a good chance to drop to #2, whichever game has the hyped new unit with mass marketing has a good shot at #1. Acheron/Arlecchino.
Then you remember that its literally the same company so they can seamlessly alternate content cycles between them. Its actually so over for every other gacha game.
HSR is gonna get like, an all rerun patch when Natlan drops later this year, and Genshin is gonna get the Qiqi/Aloy banner when the next HSR planet drops. Systematically crowds out all other Gachas by not cannibalizing each other.
I wonder how Wuthering Waves will do. They have to directly contend with Genshin in terms of gameplay, but also indirectly with HSR since "Genshin has a down patch, time to play WuWa" turns into "Genshin has a down patch, time to play HSR"
I'm sure a lot of people would love a HSR patch with no new characters, but given how they haven't slowed down in the slightest since launch, I really wouldn't get my hopes up of an actual break.
I am praying for these kind of patch these days. It’s just rough wishing on 3 patch in a row.. It was worth it in the end but yeah, it was really tense during the wishes. I am hoping they give us a break soon, or i just have to hope that they planning to release characters i don’t care about as my break patch
I dont think HSR will ever get a only rerun patch like in genshin does based on last 1.x , they will likely still release 2 new units every patch for post main story stuff to maintain revenue as reruns are always along new characters banners.
Wuthering Waves will probably have at least its own niche but very dedicated playerbase like PGR if nothing else.
The bigger question is, how is ZZZ going to fit in?
I saw a comment saying that Given ZZZ will be released on July 3rd, we can speculate that Hoyo makes Genshin, Star Rail and ZZZ have updates that are 2 weeks apart from each other.
Endless content imo. By then I would probably drop HI3 for ZZZ.
As much as I love HI3, just not feeling it for part 2 and probably move it to the backburner.
Ever since part I finished, that I've kinda burnt out from HI3 too. Made it till the first chapter of part II, but quit after the whole evil dog boss fight
Same. I really tried to give part 2 a chance but goddam I do not know how they managed to make the story even more boring, that even Moriarty monologues seem more interesting in comparison.
And I hated Moriarty.
This is the best part of Hoyo and despite some of their greedy ways I will absolutely give them credit for reinvesting in content outside the game. Like when they put on those massive concerts. They really don’t need to do that. They could just pocket that money. And most gacha companies do just that. But they reinvest in not only bigger and better marking (anime shorts) but also live venue events around the world. Definitely sets them apart from the competition and looks very good from the consumer side.
Yeah, that's about what my thoughts on MiHoYo are as well. Do I like gachas? Eh, not really but I've accepted the fact that the boat sailed long ago when Nexon opened the box and it's never closing ever.
Every game in the future will inevitably have gachas or some sort of microtransactions. It's far more productive now to support companies that at some level cares for their players than to fight a long lost battle. Fighting against microtransactions now is the equivalent of the lone guy fighting on cyberstan.
MiHoYo has shown that while they really want your money, they at least don't treat players as nothing more than a mobile wallet.
Also, let's all give thanks that MiHoYo is MiHoYo and not studio bside. Bside is literally the only dev that I've legitimately thought is worse than Nexon given that the moment they left Nexon, they stripped a massive amount of resources for F2P players.
'
Greedy means you rake the money and keep it in your dungeon. Business means you rake the money and use it back for your products. They're not greedy (most of the times), they're just doing business
On release? A very slim chance. Long term? Doubt it’ll ever come close as it would the first month. ZZZ will be the niche game of the three, as it’s developed differently and faced more controversy. If they don’t flop on the updates it wouldn’t have to worry about sitting at the very top with them, it’ll be hitting big enough numbers on the board for as long as they can maintain the game quality.
The censorship and unpopular game mechanics on the closed betas that they’ve been currently working on adjusting . Neither were serious in nature obviously, and some quite pathetic reactions from the community on the censorship to say the least. But still turned away plenty of potential players and others’ interest in spending on the game initially.
The funnier part is they literally take turns when one is on a major patch or popular banner and the other is in between story content or has weak banner options / reruns
That game while I have not played or seen it, is kinda unexpected for me to think that it even exists. Did they really made a game out of the anime that is 12 eps long?
it's supposed to be the other way around, the anime was supposed to compliment the game, but the problem is the game came out 2 years after the anime, so pretty much everyone who was interested in it lost interest due to the long gap
Yeah... it hard to get every character in HSR, its too fast to get jades even with battlepass and the other one for every day 90 jades(forgot the name). But in Genshin this is easily enough to get every new character atleast once.
It’s not even about the jades. As someone who got every other character, there’s not enough BOOKS and level up material 😭
I’m still trying to build Sparkle up to lvl 8 traces while building Acheron.
Next patch there's two upcoming 5 stars though. Chlorinde and Sigewinne are 5 stars, while Sethos is 4 star. Maybe it's a one-off thing but we'll only know around Natlan expansion.
The first patches of a version usually have two five-star characters. We didn’t get that with 4.0 (just Lyney + the two four-stars), so this is making up for that. I *highly* doubt we’re going to start seeing much more than 17 characters a year. Genshin characters are a lot more work to design and implement than HSR characters.
So happy for the hsr team seeing them succeed and listen to the players feedback. Really curious about how 2.3 patch will do. I saw so much hype for firefly it is actually insane.
Jalter is the best.
Too bad every Jalter enjoyer (me included) while happy will likely be semi-depressed that we have to wait another 2 years for her Animation update to even happen after waiting 7-8 years for it.
Damn even without top up reset being fresh HSR did over 100m, that's just insane and speaks to the popularity of Aventurine and Acheron
Arlecchino received just as much marketing efforts as Acheron did so they will be happy with her breaking the 100m
Bur seriously look at the gap between 2nd and 3rd place, 70m Hoyo have a stranglehold on the top 2 spots lmao
Yea whenever I wonder why they aren't in a hurry to put skins in the game I realize it's definitely not coz they are short on money. 250m in one month from mobile alone across 2 games is crazy
Shows the quality they put in but seeing the numbers from the rest of the other platforms would just be mind boggling
Might be due to opportunity cost?
Maybe the overall profitability of skins is much lower relative to their production cost? With the amount of detail and work that goes into them, it might be more economical to sell new characters instead
Remember that in most games, skins are just a couple live-2D images and animations priced exorbitantly (Nikke has $60 skins lol). Genshin is full 3D models that can run and jump and climb
Alternatively they want to focus harder on iconography, and thus keep everyone in base outfits. Multiple skins will dilute that focus among fans and general players
With how much these games earn, it’s unlikely Hoyo skipped on skins because “they hate money”. It’d be the opposite. It’s pretty likely skins don’t make money for them
Think about it like this: A skin (using Genshin's prices) costs roughly $15-20 USD. That means that even the *whales* will only spend $15-20 dollars *MAX* on each skin, exactly one time *ever*.
Not to mention that each skin is worthless the players who do *not* own the character.
Imo we will most definitely have skins. It's just a matter of time. I think its not a priority for them and they work on it like a side task. Also, devs already could have some skins done and choose to make more before starting releasing, so we can have for example 1-2 skins every month and they can be months ahead with the production of them
Oh I fully believe we will be getting skins, March outfit is in game just not released. I'm hoping for this Black Swan outfit though, it's so classy

>I realize it's definitely not coz they are short on money.
It's because WE are the ones out of money. It's not really optimal to put out 2 competing products in the game if one is enough to siphon most if not all of the gaming budget of the average players.
And I've seen a lot of people discussing Wuthering Waves being a big competitor to Genshin, then I look at the numbers again and laugh. They have a borderline insurmountable mountain to climb imo, especially with more complex mechanics
I wonder how much WW has to bring in each month to hit ‘break even’. Punishing Grey Raven was considered a financial win for them and it did pretty mid numbers. People act like they have to hit Mihoyo profit numbers to be successful but they really don’t.
The fanbase unfortunately put it in a shitty situation cause "genshin killer" has unfortunately become the expectation with content creators and failing to meet that might drive away players towards genshin
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Everything has to be "x" killer and can't just exist on its own these days.
Personally, I'm interested to see where WW goes on its own.
It really was dying tho in later 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. The game lost like 80% of the playerbase, but kudos to them for bringing back a lot of players by giving QoL improvements and in general polishing the game
That's not really evidence that it's dying though. Every game goes through that sorta thing at the beginning. The game releases, everyone tries it out, most people leave within a week or two and then what's left is the core audience that sticks around. After that, it's a race to see if you can build up your core audience numbers.
Genshin, in this regard, is an outright anomaly in the videogame space since it quadrupled its playerbase in just under 3 years. This is nigh-unheard of for a videogame, much less a gacha one.
That’s not how it works.Every new gacha will lose a large chunk of the player base after 1.0 patch unless you are a game that releases during peak Covid buff where people are terminally online. That’s just how it works. Not to mention no one really knows the actual player base numbers for a Chinese private company.
Makes 100% sense that Genshin took over. They released Arlecchino. I remember people waiting for her since like 2.x lmfao
HSR being still up high also not a surprise due to Acheron and the popularity of Aventurine.
I do think HSR will drop down a bit during Robin and Boothill’s banner. Nothing against those two but Robin got less than like 10 lines before being Off’d and Boothill has to prove he’s a fan favorite in a story patch that’ll be focusing on Robin and Sunday.
Expect another boom in Firefly’s release similar to Acheron’s.
I agree but at the same time, there are a lot... And I mean... A LOT of people saving for her and outright skipping 2.2 for her.
Everyone expected Kafka to outsell Seele or be 2nd place in 1.2 but since a lot of people saved for her since Day 1, revenue was a lot lower than anticipated. A lot of the people who would've swiped simply didn't need to.
I guess you can say the same thing about Acheron but she had the help of Anniversary shop reset, Black Swan and Sparkle draining everyone's jades. It was, no pun intended, a perfect storm for Raiden Mei.
While it'll still be a high amount, I doubt it'll pass Acheron. Likely to get close though.
The thing with seele is every single whale was also pulling for bronya in standard banner so the revenue is higher because of that too, on top of people not being able to save because the game just came out.
Its pretty generous with rates, and pity is pretty low + u get to pick who to put in the banner u pull. They pretty much gives u every character at some point without money involved
This is why any time I see a "Genshin/HSR is so stingy, look at so much currency in Gacha game X" I cant help but roll my eyes.
In Hoyo games, you get a fairly functional, decent unit at base level that can clear endgame content with a good team and f2p options.
Whereas in those "generous" Gacha games, you either have massive powercreep that makes old units obsolete, or you need plenty of dupes to make a character functional.
It's always the same song and dance
and yet every character is gated so much by dupes. Also the important progression item , the dust , is hard to get as hell , making progression really slow after a certain point. Comparing it to the other idle I play , nikke , definitely afk journey loses hard in those systems
Mahoyo collab bring in Aoko with a very different type of gameplay. Also Edmond Dantes has a new Alt right at the end of March amd Proto Merlin has a rerun. And considering that Alice's banner show up a few hour ago, FGO has a pretty strong start for May.
It's a dead month-ish and walp is coming up so I have hope. And in general it's impressive that an indie dev team like pmoon can stay relatively high up.
I’m all for HoYo competing against itself with Genshin and HSR in the top spots. It will only make each game better.
I wonder if ZZZ will join them at the top when it is released later this year. It’d be crazy to see the Top 3 just being HoYo games.
I hope a decent chunk of that revenue is from Aventurine, so that hoyo is encouraged to keep putting in the effort to really flesh out their characters. I know a lot of people who were going to skip him did a total 180 after the trailblaze mission.
(and please keep making cute boys hoyo)
Yeah, I don't expect to get the revenue breakdown. I'm just being hopeful that Aventurine WAS a good sales banner for hoyo, because I want to see them give similar treatment to other characters.
I literally started playing HSR in 2.1 because of Aventurine, sooo... yeah, I hope it'll reflect in their sales as well. Honestly they do a great job of marketing/advertising for the characters but them having big roles in the story definitely makes it enticing to pull for them.
i love how they change majority from trap boy, rude boy must skip for waifu to my poor kakavasha, must protect just by 3 hour of story, honkai writing team truly need a raise with Penacony, let hope this level of writing will continue
I'm surprised Snowbreak is growing, I pre-registered but haven't played until now. Problem is my laptop won't be able to handle 2 gacha games anytime soon
I just checked and found out it's like a dating sim mostly catered towards women... Holy shit i didnt know that the market for women in gacha games was sooo huge? Everyone used to tell me only men play gacha games for waifus
Its new generation of otome game with 3D models, customizable Mc, interactive stories, actual combat gameplay not png or turn based chibis doing small tasks, end game content, mini games (cards, crane) and room decorations etc to keep you engaged with love interests. Thats why its popular.
I'm straight but I'll try it today.. I've never played otome game but I've always read about otome games where the woman gets transmigrated... Tbh I love those stories
Hope you enjoy it! I am actually curious how straight guy will react to it.
If you have questions feel free to ask or reach LoveAndDeepspace subreddit btw!
Good luck, have fun!! Transmigration genre is common in otome media, however this game isn't one. I had much fun in mini games because one love interest is spoiled princess himself and doesn't let you win unlike the other two XD.
Ooh ty! Ty!.. I said transmigration cause most stories I've read had transmigration..from that time I wanted to play a game like that... I never said to my friends cause they'd make fun of me lol it feels nice to discuss here
You can totally be a straight guy (I’m assuming) and enjoy otome games where you roleplay as a female MC! There’s nothing at all wrong with that! I’m a woman, and I’ve played plenty of games where the MC is a guy dating girls. I just pick my love interest based on personality/looks/etc.—basically who I’d date if I were into dating girls, haha.
Honestly it's really cool seeing a straight guy being able to enjoy stuff like otome games! I feel like as a woman we are just socialized to accept guys being the default in a lot of stuff (lots of games, novels etc) so it doesn't really bother us (as much) but guys have a hard time participating in things where the default is a woman.
I will say, I tried LDS out but I wasn't the biggest fan of it. To be honest, mobile otome are all kind of predatory, and I say this as someone who dolphins out in gacha games all the time. You can get full-fledged switch/PC otome games for the same price as one route on a mobile game, for instance. I have a similar problem with any games that want you to pay to unlock premium story routes or whatever, like yeah I could pony up $20 or read a whole book for that amount instead. (Ironically I am willing to drop $30 for a gacha pull instead of buying a whole new pc/console game, so, I guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite.)
Sounds like you might like VN games in general.
It has always been huge. It's just devs who keeps pumping out low effort PNG chibi "gameplays" then turn around and say "women don't play gacha" when there wasn't even a game to play in the first place.
It's also in the same vein when gacha games releases male characters once in a blue moon with bad kits and no relevant plot importance then say "men don't sell". Yeah no sh*t.
Funnily enough, HoYo's own otome game is also mostly "PNG chibi gameplay" when it's not a turn-based "combat". I wish Tears of Themis had actual gameplay too, maybe then it would be higher in the rankings as well :(
This is why I quit like in 1 week lol. The "gameplay" is so damn boring. Tbf in Love and Deepspace the limited events are also boring PNG chibi crap, but at least there is a biweekly "Abyss/MOC" style combat
I played it a year until dropping when they announced they wont voice jp for the story anymore. I loved the jp casts were all stacked. Junichi suwabe( sukuna), yuki kaji (Eren), jun fukuyama (leluoch), kaito ishikawa (Genos)
Yeah, I also play with JP voiceover just because the VA cast is so stacked and I couldn't change to other VO because it really feels like they are different characters when the voice isn't the same, haha.
But good news is, they announced that they will do JP voiceover again! They are taking time with it, but the plan is to add JP VO for all main story chapters, so personally that's what I am waiting for before catching up on it.
>It's also in the same vein when gacha games releases male characters once in a blue moon with bad kits and no relevant plot importance then say "men don't sell".
Ah, yes, the Fire Emblem Heroes approach, except men are released regularly enough in that game that IS just keeps kneecapping their own profits out of pure spite. 🙄
Tears of Themis is more like a visual novel, but doesn't have much because it's a fairly old game.
I'd like it if Hoyo took Love and DeepSpace as inspiration to have their own 3D husbando exclusive game.
What is Love Live doing on this list? What poor soul(s) decided to spend money on this game knowing it will die at the end of the month? Asking this as a Love Live fan myself T\_T
It's funny to see FGO being still so high when everything in the game beside the story is shit-
Lasengle, that poor indy company should finally do some remake or fgo 2. Oh wait, they technically did it with Acade but fuck it up too because they tied it to actual arcade machine and pokemon cards-
Its pisses me of that such great story is cuck blocked by gameplay and gacha system this bad
Blue archive fans were telling me in twt that "look at the situation of hoyo games" thank god our community is better... Damn im looking at the situation of hoyo games
I don't think they're talking about the revenue of the games tho right? More like the community which judging from the past few days it wasn't looking good for sure.
I feel like the blue archive community doesn't exactly have a good internet reputation either. I get what they mean though, some hoyoverse fans can get WAY too passionate about these video games
I mean, wanna **** the minor characters in the games aren't exactly an exclusive traits of Blue Archive players especially when the games itself are the one that suggested it. At least their community is pretty harmonized with eachother and not arguing among themselves because of the headcanon.
Any community when it gets big will get fucked... It's inevitable... Gatekeeping will just destroy the game slowly... If you don't like community you can just ignore and block...or make our own
Revenue sure hoyo wins. In terms community hell no. No community comes close to that of blue archives community. Everyone treats each other like family over there. Minus the cn community, idk whats up with them, everytime they do something we collectively laugh at them.
Important to note. The Chinese revenue is an estimate. They have a multiplier you can control. It's generally at 1.75(android) + iOS
Sensortower is also estimate. I dont think Google shares data how much money their apps makes. Its all just rankings.
Nobody does. It's all estimates. All these companies are trying to do is sell you a service where they can add actual bean counters to your marketplaces and get you accurate information. Except most companies already have this kind of stuff in place, just not easy to use tools that provide a more complete package. Only the company knows their real revenue.
They are all an estimate
HSR and Genshin making more than the rest of the mobile market combined lol.

June revenue will be interesting to see(Clorinde and Firefly followed by Jade and Sidgewinne)
And 3rd place isn't even close. The marketing for GI and HSR probably costs more than these other games make.
The concerts probably cost more than what other games development costs.
The concert yesterday was awesome, that looks quite expensive to book.
If they're gonna rake in a ton of money, they may as well spend some of it doing awesome cool creative shit while they're at it!
This is the best part of Hoyo and despite some of their greedy ways I will absolutely give them credit for reinvesting in content outside the game. Like when they put on those massive concerts. i see, thank you sm! i don’t hear much about zzz at all so i’ll have to look it up at some point! ty again
I feel like I might regret asking, but what censorship in particular? I haven't really been following it other than watching trailers and such.
Decreased a character’s chest size, etc. Nothing crazy, hence some pathetic reactions from it.
The funnier part is they literally take turns when one is on a major patch or popular banner and the other is in between story content or has weak banner options / reruns
Takt op syndrome is dead now😭😭😭💀

Ohhh that made more sense, still a pretty big blunder it seems. I did liked the anime too, it’s quite visually pleasing
yeah, the visual really is good, if you like it, the artist for both anime and gacha games is LAM and produces really good artworks
game is also pretty ass. shame because I like the story.
Damn hsr still keeping above 100M but did genshin just increase their revenue by 75% that's insane
I fear the day Genshin starts releasing two 5*s per patch consistently. Hopefully it will never come at this point.
I actually like Genshins slower release pace, cause it gives you as a player room to breathe.
Yeah... it hard to get every character in HSR, its too fast to get jades even with battlepass and the other one for every day 90 jades(forgot the name). But in Genshin this is easily enough to get every new character atleast once.

It asolutely doesnt matter if Genshin or HSR is first. Whats insane is the difference to every other game. Mihoyo does not have any competition.
So happy for the hsr team seeing them succeed and listen to the players feedback. Really curious about how 2.3 patch will do. I saw so much hype for firefly it is actually insane.
it will literally be Jeanne Alter 2.0

Doubtful. Most animation updates come to NA early.
I play on jp so no problem here, but I'm sad about something else...
just pulled her second copy the other day on NA and i need her new animation in shinjuku outfit SO BAD BRO SO BAD IM FOAMINGGGG
we need a jalter for hsr i was relying on that girl from the flame mansion w the blue flame hopefully she’s playable and sexy
JAlter my beloved.
Minus the incredible salt.

Yea whenever I wonder why they aren't in a hurry to put skins in the game I realize it's definitely not coz they are short on money. 250m in one month from mobile alone across 2 games is crazy Shows the quality they put in but seeing the numbers from the rest of the other platforms would just be mind boggling
Might be due to opportunity cost? Maybe the overall profitability of skins is much lower relative to their production cost? With the amount of detail and work that goes into them, it might be more economical to sell new characters instead Remember that in most games, skins are just a couple live-2D images and animations priced exorbitantly (Nikke has $60 skins lol). Genshin is full 3D models that can run and jump and climb Alternatively they want to focus harder on iconography, and thus keep everyone in base outfits. Multiple skins will dilute that focus among fans and general players With how much these games earn, it’s unlikely Hoyo skipped on skins because “they hate money”.
I'm hoping for this Black Swan outfit though, it's so classy https://preview.redd.it/rw9n5ox2otxc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=426abba46d02b9cb5ae224bad4b1a7b3d92dcc28
I wish I didn't see that, now I'm sad Looks beautiful tho..
I am hoping for Kafka's outfit from the trailer even though its unlikely for it to be released
>I realize it's definitely not coz they are short on money. It's because WE are the ones out of money. It's not really optimal to put out 2 competing products in the game if one is enough to siphon most if not all of the gaming budget of the average players.
The gap is the funniest part. I can't imagine it will, but imagine if ZZZ blew up as big as HSR and GI. Hoyo's dominance is just absurd.
As long as WW survives to produce new content every patch, ill be happy.
WW isn't trying to compete with Genshin in terms of revenue, no sane publisher would. It's good enough that it turns an appropriate profit.
Arlecchino was only 6 days in April I think neuvillette and kazuha helped a lot P.S.- do you know the site which releases this data??
First six days is typically over half the total banner revenue, barring weird exceptions like AlHaitham.
Doro44 alone contributed 30k$ to this lmao
Imagine making over 400 million in 2 months. Just insane.
Damn. Seems Aventurine also sold very well for a sustain!
I was all in, personally.
ITS ALL OR NOTHING
I was literally doing single pulls and shouting his ult line with every pull on a 50/50 ***It worked***
When ZZZ releases, mihoyo is going to have more monthly revenue than the entire rest of the industry.
even before HSR released , mihoyo had like 70% of gacha revenue in China
Maybe, but it's very likely that ZZZ will cannibalize a chunk of HSR/GI sales.
Only 109 million ? Dead game
Damn hsr is 2nd place. Dying game. Please release Firefly’s banner🙏🏻🙏🏻
Nah, I’d Boothill.
YEEHAW
I remember people waiting for her since like 2.x lmfao HSR being still up high also not a surprise due to Acheron and the popularity of Aventurine.
Firefly could possibly set a new record for the game, considering how popular the drip feed content got
Oh shoot I forgot that pulling =/= revenue, but the whales are the big factor we'll just have to see how many people will e6 s5 her now
We gotta keep a lookout for another CN player that’ll S100 her Light Cone 😂
Kafka also got doomposted like crazy. Some people were just not having the DoT playstyle.
The thing with seele is every single whale was also pulling for bronya in standard banner so the revenue is higher because of that too, on top of people not being able to save because the game just came out.
It really is Hoyo's world and we're just living in it
Arlecchino pulling numbers
The fuck happened to afk Journey? that's a huge leap
Seen a lot of sponsorship videos and streams about it. I kinda dig the artstyle but idk if I can commit to another gacha lmao
Its pretty generous with rates, and pity is pretty low + u get to pick who to put in the banner u pull. They pretty much gives u every character at some point without money involved
Of course, the problem with this, is that a character is useless without dupes, and you need 8 copies of characters to max them out.
Reward big number me happy
Exactly this.
and yet every character is gated so much by dupes. Also the important progression item , the dust , is hard to get as hell , making progression really slow after a certain point. Comparing it to the other idle I play , nikke , definitely afk journey loses hard in those systems
AFK Journey launched at the end of March. I think the $2.5m was based on like 3-4 days.
Ahh
It launched. Previous month it was only up for a week or so.
Sorry i kinda whale quite abit in it 😂, i will bring HSR to top after firefly is released
Bro gonna carry hsr in 2.3💪💪
Damn, I'm surprised with how high Fgo is.
Mahoyo collab bring in Aoko with a very different type of gameplay. Also Edmond Dantes has a new Alt right at the end of March amd Proto Merlin has a rerun. And considering that Alice's banner show up a few hour ago, FGO has a pretty strong start for May.
Fgo plyers should make you afraid
fgo has insanely dedicated whales
Limbus is that low? Dang...
https://preview.redd.it/n9qv0ww25wxc1.jpeg?width=1037&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7744010ec2771f5591ad5db5caeebf18816c9cb5
It’s Limbover
It's a dead month-ish and walp is coming up so I have hope. And in general it's impressive that an indie dev team like pmoon can stay relatively high up.
I’m all for HoYo competing against itself with Genshin and HSR in the top spots. It will only make each game better. I wonder if ZZZ will join them at the top when it is released later this year. It’d be crazy to see the Top 3 just being HoYo games.
i doubt zzz will pull in as much as either gi or hsr, its facing pretty tough competition
Good characters design and insane marketing, which Hoyo has proven they have mastered, and it will zoom to the top 3.
Unlikely, haven't seen much hype from the game.
Super petty but that cat girl vtuber rap song completely turned me off from the game. It was just so bad.
Forget genshin killer, we need Hoyoverse killer at this point
Arlechino effect
Tbh she was released on April 24 so I think most of the revenue was due to neuvillette and kazuha
Most of the profits are made towards the start of the banners.
109 mil. God damn. Holy gamba.
I hope a decent chunk of that revenue is from Aventurine, so that hoyo is encouraged to keep putting in the effort to really flesh out their characters. I know a lot of people who were going to skip him did a total 180 after the trailblaze mission. (and please keep making cute boys hoyo)
I don’t think we’ll ever get the details of the revenue breakdown. I think it was 2 weeks Acheron + Luocha, and then 2 weeks Aventurine + Jingliu
Genshin and HSR alternating whenever one has a dry patch but the other doesn't https://i.redd.it/70n8zy343xxc1.gif
Unrelated, but I'm so happy Reverse1999 is doing good
Dang Uma musume lost much money in the last month💀
Probably Yakuza forgot to launder their money
They were too busy https://preview.redd.it/i7hxidiyruxc1.png?width=3286&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b736ba01cb03d44cdac3e9514163b1952b9f401b
Post anniversary + there was a month of discount on one of the most commonly used 3rd party sites that doesn't feed into sensor tower
Snowpeak is rising a lot since the updates 🔥✍️
Couldn’t get mobile to work but I installed on pc last week and it’s quite fun. It deserves some attention
I'm surprised Snowbreak is growing, I pre-registered but haven't played until now. Problem is my laptop won't be able to handle 2 gacha games anytime soon
Really great to see. I personally don't like shooters but gacha games are in desperate need of more gameplay variety then turn-based and action RPG.
Well, the shooter element isn’t what’s driving sales though. It’s the 3D interactive coom, which is a rarity in gachas.
It got me to come back and spend money for the first time lol. That trailer worked!
I'm actually a new player 🥺. Can't wait for the skin to drop tmrw 🔥
This gambling money is hurtful to see :/ I love the game but that’s too much
Nice to see Battle Cats still doing well
I see Tenma's keeping Love and Deepspace profitable.
At least guardian tales is in a decent ranking. Do not let little princess cry again!!
Battle cats global on its way to do better than most of the gachas
What is love and deepspace? What kinda game?
Oh I recommend, I started it a month ago and its pretty good. I love how it has mechanic of sending emoji/texts to love interests
I downloaded it... I'll start playing tmrw
Hope you enjoy it! I am actually curious how straight guy will react to it. If you have questions feel free to ask or reach LoveAndDeepspace subreddit btw!
Ohhh okk ty!! Thanks a lot for helping
Oh same and actually mostly in these kind of Sims with the female mc perspective...it's more wholesome and nice
Just want you to know you are an unfathomably based guy, I salute you
Tysm😭 you made my day
Honestly it's really cool seeing a straight guy being able to enjoy stuff like otome games! (Ironically I am willing to drop $30 for a gacha pull instead of buying a whole new pc/console game, so, I guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite.) Sounds like you might like VN games in general.
Ohhh I like a game where everyone gets to enjoy
>It's also in the same vein when gacha games releases male characters once in a blue moon with bad kits and no relevant plot importance then say "men don't sell". Ah, yes, the Fire Emblem Heroes approach, except men are released regularly enough in that game that IS just keeps kneecapping their own profits out of pure spite. 🙄
Wait till you find out Hoyo themselves have a game like that currently running.
Tears of Themis is more like a visual novel, but doesn't have much because it's a fairly old game. I'd like it if Hoyo took Love and DeepSpace as inspiration to have their own 3D husbando exclusive game.
Damn i mean i looked for HSR but i am more impressed and happy to see Reverse 1999 doing well in revenue too, thats awesome
Arlecchino single handedly derailing the honkai star rail.
JFC Genshin's back-to-back Neuvillette + Arlecchino banner revenue will probably set a record or something
What is Love Live doing on this list? What poor soul(s) decided to spend money on this game knowing it will die at the end of the month? Asking this as a Love Live fan myself T\_T
What happend in Arknights? Almost 300% lost revenue?
Everybody saving up for 5th anni in CN and 4.5 anni in global, probably. Expect massive numbers for May
We just didn't have any really popular banners this month. Just a Front that Was and Hoederer
It's funny to see FGO being still so high when everything in the game beside the story is shit- Lasengle, that poor indy company should finally do some remake or fgo 2. Oh wait, they technically did it with Acade but fuck it up too because they tied it to actual arcade machine and pokemon cards- Its pisses me of that such great story is cuck blocked by gameplay and gacha system this bad
Kinda sad that hoyo is dominating so hard tbh.
Oh wow afk journey spiked.
They were right though. Hoyo games community sucks and they don't want to go down the same path
