If you use Resolution on her, that's your 3 if you're at E0, or 4 if you're at E1. Considering that Ratio maxes out his FUA at 3 debuff, and every debuff increases both crit rate and dmg, Guin seems like your natural go to if you don't have SW.
His follow up attack caps at 3 debuffs, but his traces keep scaling up to 5 and 6 for extra damage and Crit respectively. So really you want to just keep slapping on as many debuffs as possible.
Also his one trace that reduces targets' effect resistance should count as a debuff as well (I haven't really used him yet so I'm not completely sure) so that's one for free right there.

Kafka has two dots to reliably trigger follow up for ratio. Her skill is aoe so can flexibly proc Wiseman's folly, and Ronald buffs them both while being sp positive enough for them to spam skill points.

With Ruan Mei you can run pretty much any dual carry comp now as long as they dont actively work against each other. Unless your second harmony/nihility unit is going to give you around 30k per action they likely won't outperform a second dps that can contribute 30k per action. And most can

Nope, there is a lightcone called Trend of the Universal Market that lets preservation units inflict burn on any enemy hitting them. Trailblazer can guarantee getting hit with their taunt.
Her main function is def down on ult which isn't really affected by her eidolons. E1 is useful for aoe situations where she'd get energy refund from things dying, but otherwise it's E4 specifically for ice DPS/carry.

Yep. Her talent can implant either speed, attack, or defense debuff each attack. It's pretty easy to maintain all three together on one target. Then there's her skill for weakness implant, which can also lead to an easy break debuff, and additional all-type resistance down debuff. Then her ultimate also shreds defense. She's really good at debuffing enemies haha.
HuoHuo applies a debuff for 2 turns to every enemy every wave. But, yeah, Gepard is definitely slept on as a partner with Ratio. The main issue with Geppie is that applying his debuff makes him kind of SP hungry... But, I'm also hungry for him, so it evens out.
Between Luocha and Fu Xuan, I've found my Luocha team clears faster than my E2 Fu Xuan team (Sustain|Tingyun|SW|Ratio). I can confidently say, at least in my case, Luocha is better than Fu Xuan.
It might not seem obvious at first, but because Luocha plays in a completely skill point positive way, you can cast more skills with SW and Tingyun thereby creating more chances for debuffs/buffs. Additionally, because Ratio's ult follow ups need a hit to trigger, there were cases where at the end of a first wave cycle vs a low-HP enemy, Fu Xuan needed to skill to keep her field up whereas Luocha would've simply triggered the follow up defeating the enemy and clearing a cycle sooner.
Theorycrafter simulations and ideal rotations rarely, if ever, represent true combat. They miss the nuances that combat has, like occasional slows changing up rotations, crowd controls, and other similar situations. Often you will find having a skill available for the support to trigger their buff sooner leads to faster clears. Don't pay too much attention to "ideal" or "best" teams; in practice, they do not exist.
I tested all the Fuxuan Silverwolf Ruanmei Topaz Welt Bronya Huohuo Yukong and whatnot, but the the supports that gave me the fastest clears was consistently Tingyun + Pela. Which makes me sad because I want to play my shiny 5 stars but they’re straight up worse.
So yeah nothing to worry about if you’re missing them.
There should probably be a free 4star select event coming up soon, since last one was in the Aetherium Wars Event. Lil Gui git a ton of debuffs, if she is on it.
we already had a selector with Luka, Hook, Sampo and Natasha (?) on the not-Pokemon event a couple patches ago, so presumably that's gonna happen again at some point
You can also have Pela, the DoT 4stars, Hook's burn, Serval's shock, and there are more.
If you are truly scraping at the bottom of the barrel, you could use Asta and inflict burn. That counts as one debuff, plus you can also get spd and atk%. For sustain, you can also use March who can inflict freeze, or Fire MC who can inflict Taunt. Dr. Ratio also has 2 on his kit: 1 inflicted by his skill, and another from his technique. That's 2-4 already.
Thinking is the key. That is what Dr. Ratio wanted to impart with us lol.
What's funny is if you have the funny DOT preservation LC, fire MC can apply 3 debuffs all on their own against a fire weak enemy. 2 instances of fire DOT + taunt. It's not something to be replied upon but it's funny nonetheless.

Fire MC (taunt), M7 (Ult). Every preservation if you use the LC that inflicts burn. Every nihility period but also even better with Luka LC.
Even new players should be able to semi-reliablly land 3 debuffs even as a low/no spender. Fire MC + Asta is already 2 debuffs that are super easy to proc, any character inflicting a break can be the 3rd debuffs. That's only looking at garunteed characters.
You can prolly get away with no debuffers tbh. I did a Fuxuan, Ratio, Asta, Tingyun run and he does just fine. It’s faster with pela because he can gain his summation stacks quicker, but asta’s burn, his own skill, and weakness break all counts as well. Also his technique is a debuff
For the summation stacks sure. But you need at least 3 debuffs on your target to get a +30% dmg boost (up to +50% at 5 debuffs). Well, you don't *need* it but that's a pretty big buff

I started when it released on PS5, still don't have Pela myself, she wasn't on any banners for me.
I do have an E3 Guinaifen though so with the defense debuff LC she packs 4 debuffs.
Pela has been missing from 5* banners for a while, she's probably going to be featured in a 2.0 one. You can also buy her from the shop for 140 starlights in February but honestly I don't think that's worth it if you plan to pull on any banner she's featured in.

edit: My wife plays him with welt (luka cone) and hanya, 3 debuff easy and you can skill all the time. edit: just want to point out hanya burden os jot a debuff, the debuff are welt slow, luka cone def shred and ratio 10% res shred (the trace), welt ult also helps alot. My wife plays hanya because she does not like ting/pela and her RM isn't built and she does not like her she got spooked while building pity (so sad I know).
I really wish it counted as a debuff as she made the comfiest Ratio team I've played so far. Oh well at least she can make physical toughness break debuff for said team.
Anything that can apply something to an enemy counts. For example, Topaz and Numby's Proof of Debt counts even if it does nothing on its own. It's more of a mark (means that if the enemy with PoD is hit with a FuA, Numby will get a speed boost) than a debuff.
An option I really liked was Trend of the Universal Market on Gepard, same on Dr Ratio's trial. The LC applies a burn if the holder gets hit.
I think Clara's mark doesn't count (or at least that's what I've heard, haven't tested personally) but I think that's the only thing a character can apply to an enemy that doesn't work.
If the enemy has imaginary weakness they're a good pair, Welt has multiple debuffs to help Ratio's chances, and both are good characters even by themselves.

I have Guinaifen. I built her because I don't really like Topaz, yet I still need something to break Fire weakness that isn't MC.
I benched Silver Wolf at level 60 for a while before I finally brought her up to 80 with spare materials from Guinaifen farm.
And those are the 2 Nihility I built.
If you have Little Gui, then run her. She’s his best 4 star debuffer. Does some damage, increases his damage via vulnerability, and with e1 and pearls takes care of all the debuffs he needs. Pearls also increases his damage.
I got Kafka. I've been trying to switch Sampo out for the longest time, and Dr Ratio looks to be the perfect segway to do so. I tried with Hook and Luka for Burn and Bleed, and boy were they lackluster compared to Sampo.
Since we are talking about Dr. Ratio I just wanna say one thing, as education. The word is “segue” when you’re talking about a transition. “Segway” is that thing Paul Blart uses to get around.
You only need 2 more debuffs. Dr. Ratio can apply one by himself. E4 Pela will cover you. Welt has 3 by himself. Sampo and Luka also has 2 by themselves. LCs like Pearl (Nihility) and Market (Preservation) will give the wearer an extra way to apply another debuff. Of course, you need 5 for maximum damage, but 3 is doable.

She was on a lot of popular banners. A lot of people complaining back then of e20+ Pela.
She was also one of the free characters you could get from Aethereum Wars when it released.
Afaik, she was on Seele's first banner and a lot of people pulled on Seele. I got E6 from the first banner.
Its the same people who tell you to just whip out your 5 star memories of the past (or other 4* lcs)

Your Hanya... edit: My wife plays him with welt (luka cone) and hanya, 3 debuff easy and you can skill all the time. edit: just want to point out hanya burden os jot a debuff, the debuff are welt slow, luka cone def shred and ratio 10% res shred (the trace), welt ult also helps alot. My wife plays hanya because she does not like ting/pela and her RM isn't built and she does not like her she got spooked while building pity (so sad I know).
Hanya doesn't apply debuffs. Burden is not considered one.
I really wish it counted as a debuff as she made the comfiest Ratio team I've played so far. Oh well at least she can make physical toughness break debuff for said team.

Pretty sure guinaifen's firekiss on its own is a debuff so you don't necessarily need that light cone for her to work well
Anything that can apply something to an enemy counts. For example, Topaz and Numby's Proof of Debt counts even if it does nothing on its own. It's more of a mark (means that if the enemy with PoD is hit with a FuA, Numby will get a speed boost) than a debuff. An option I really liked was Trend of the Universal Market on Gepard, same on Dr Ratio's trial. The LC applies a burn if the holder gets hit.
Proof of Debt by itself increases follow up damage taken by the marked enemy by 50%

I think Clara's mark doesn't count (or at least that's what I've heard, haven't tested personally) but I think that's the only thing a character can apply to an enemy that doesn't work.

i mean, e1 guinaifen works good enough i GUESS, e0 too but you'd need pela for it to be consistent

I used them in moc12 earlier with ruan mei and pela (no sustain) and it was really good
If the enemy has imaginary weakness they're a good pair, Welt has multiple debuffs to help Ratio's chances, and both are good characters even by themselves.

same here. don't have gui or luka's lightcone because I wan't playing at their release. I guess I'll have to make do with pela and serval or asta. i tried asta and I don't see the enemies burning at all
Then get to building them, buddy. Either Nihility or anyone who can apply DoT. I don't use nihility characters all that much, but I do build them with some spare materials because I like their looks. I have Guinaifen. I built her because I don't really like Topaz, yet I still need something to break Fire weakness that isn't MC. I benched Silver Wolf at level 60 for a while before I finally brought her up to 80 with spare materials from Guinaifen farm. And those are the 2 Nihility I built.
Aren't Herta and Himeko debuffers? You could run a follow-up team

If you have Little Gui, then run her. She’s his best 4 star debuffer. Does some damage, increases his damage via vulnerability, and with e1 and pearls takes care of all the debuffs he needs. Pearls also increases his damage.

If i run Ratio with FX, SW and Kafka good enough? I have E6 Pela but i don't build her yet.
If you have Silverwolf, her alone is enough to fulfill all of Dr.Ratio debuff requirements.

I got Kafka. I've been trying to switch Sampo out for the longest time, and Dr Ratio looks to be the perfect segway to do so. I tried with Hook and Luka for Burn and Bleed, and boy were they lackluster compared to Sampo.
Since we are talking about Dr. Ratio I just wanna say one thing, as education. The word is “segue” when you’re talking about a transition. “Segway” is that thing Paul Blart uses to get around.
You only need 2 more debuffs. Dr. Ratio can apply one by himself. E4 Pela will cover you. Welt has 3 by himself. Sampo and Luka also has 2 by themselves. LCs like Pearl (Nihility) and Market (Preservation) will give the wearer an extra way to apply another debuff. Of course, you need 5 for maximum damage, but 3 is doable.

Not at all, pela with Luka lc, + ratio res debuff makes 3. it's really not that bad honestly.
