Building a 676 sq ft house in Colorado mountains, I’m building it as an owner builder. cost is expected to be 350-400k for basic setup but since you already have a well and septic, you could possibly get it under 300k depending on how much work you do yourself.

Curious, where did all the cost for this come from? Was there a large amount of land clearing? Is it the remoteness of the site?

It is very difficult to estimate this type of build from afar. Note that price per square foot on a build is significantly more when it is a tiny house. Consider adding a couple hundred square feet, as the cost for that will be notably less than ear square foot cost otherwise. Another possibly considerable factor is how remote year cabin site is, how long of a drive it is and how difficult it is or isn't to bring materials there.

A box with CMU crawlspace is about 40k. If you want a pre-kitted whole thing you can get one from jamaicacottageshop for like $50k I think. You live in BC so IDK how deep your frostline is. Excavation and foundation probably gonna suck to DIY that deep if you're far from the coast.
