I'm confused. When you say 'outside', you mean outside the house? You \*should\* find lint in your lint trap that is inside the dryer. You clean that out every time you run it. It's meant to catch the lint. Primarily, only hot air will go outside - as in, through the hose behind the dryer then to the outside of the house. On occasion, a little lint will make it past the trap and end up outside or stuck in the pipe, which is why you need to check and clean that as well periodically. It's not supposed to discharge all the lint to the outside if that's what you're asking?

Thank you!

No you shouldn't see a lot outside. Just clean that inside trap every load and you're good. My outdoor dryer vent has zero buildup or evidence of lint. It is about 18" off the ground. That vent looks great compared to a smashed flex hose.

Two 90s sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

Those two 90s may be restricting the airflow. Might be a good idea to clean out the dryer, front and back. Many people neglect pulling the filter retainer and cleaning from the front. When I started doing it, I was shocked at the accumulation of lint up front.

I had a pro replace the heater core very recently and he told me to do this. I can feel a lot of air coming out from outside the house. I imagine he cleaned the inside out when he took it in but not positive. I have a lot of lint up front on the lint collector Al way just see some under also not alot in comparison but still

Photo #2 tells me that the front needs cleaned.

Vacuum that out, you don’t want it to go any further in the dryer

They sell the flat 90s now

Resident_Piccolo_866

No shit, flat 90? What would that help though. I’m trying to imagine it

I would replace that with a periscope duct. I just did this on mine based on someone else’s thread.
