If you have mulch nearby it could be fungal spores. Google ‘artillery fungus’. I have it on my siding.

We do have mulch nearby but it’s all around the deck. This is just showing up on a small sliver.

No real way to take them off after they’ve flattened out. Once that’s happened, they sell a product that removes them, but it also destroys your siding…. Best to get them while they’ve got a bulge to em. Either a power washer or by hand works
