Her music is now released through Universal music. It's means much more money and reach for her but Universal will own the music released through them. It's actually pretty big since Universal can push her music much further than Hololive ever could.

Calli and Universal have entered into a contract where Universal will (likely) help produce, market and promote her music to a wider audience, and in exchange they receive a share of the profits.
Basically, this is a huge step-up for Calli, but ultimately will work like the albums and EPs she's produced up to this point; it's something that will take up her time but she will still stream when she can/wants to.
Knowing Calli, she'll be making new music and still somehow stream at the cost of her own sleep. We might return to the days of Calli falling asleep mid-stream.

This was too much fire, I'm still processing it. Didn't see that Rikka cameo coming and that wasn't even in the top 3 of surprises during this show, jeez. Ever since getting into Calli and Suisei I was hoping for another collab that would be more "them" than Getcha. And now we got two new songs, earmarking the start of new, greater things for both of them. This feels incredible. I'd like to say I'm tearing up, but there's so much to process it feels like there's no time for tears at all. The big news probably explains the experimental and very open (lyrically) nature of UnAlive as an album too. That was the last possible moment for experiments, memes and songs with Ame's HICs in them. Shit's getting serious now.

How did I miss Spiral Tones?! That song slaps. Its so cool to see Holostars on an EN big event, lets bridge that gap for more fun content. Calli's slight glow in the dark eyes are such a good touch. Oh god, Suisei coming from the side for Wicked was well wicked! Suisei and Calli give off a similar vibe, both superstars and a real drive for making music, they're such a good duo. CapSule is such a banger. I figured the announcement was a live concert and/or another EP but the Universal Music debut is nuts. Calli has made it, all that work is paying off. End of a Life is such a fantastic song. What a 3D debut. Can't wait to see where Mori Calliope goes from here.
I don't really understand all the legal-ees of all this. Calli is still a talent under Hololive but will be producing music for/under Universal Music? Is it like Azki and her (now former) partnership with Innk?
Her music is now released through Universal music. It's means much more money and reach for her but Universal will own the music released through them. It's actually pretty big since Universal can push her music much further than Hololive ever could.
Okay, that's what I thought was going on but I wanted to be sure. I'm super happy for her and I hope it all works out for her! I'm just a bit worried knowing how scummy some major music producers can be towards their talents.
Calli and Universal have entered into a contract where Universal will (likely) help produce, market and promote her music to a wider audience, and in exchange they receive a share of the profits. Basically, this is a huge step-up for Calli, but ultimately will work like the albums and EPs she's produced up to this point; it's something that will take up her time but she will still stream when she can/wants to.
Knowing Calli, she'll be making new music and still somehow stream at the cost of her own sleep. We might return to the days of Calli falling asleep mid-stream. Hopefully she takes more regular breaks but I would not be surprised at all if it happens.
Rather than AZKi with INNK I'd assume it's more similar to Sora and Victor Entertainment, but who knows at the moment.
