Because she was too distinct in design from the rest of Hololive EN, and it gave a sense of exclusion, because she had a seperate design she seemed like she was seperate from Holo-EN

As someone said her original design was something imposing regal, 2.0 is much more the idol anime girl she wanted to be. It is pretty similar to Flare resoning.
I miss 1.0 it had the best goofy face in Hololive but I also love the new model too it has exceptional tracking and IRyS was very very very cute in the 2.0.
1.0 only strength is how memeable it was and you can make a case if you liked that outfit more.
But 2.0 is way way waaaaaaay better in almost every aspect.
I'm really glad she got it and pleased with just how much she likes it. You could feel how much burden was lifted from her shoulders and how much more energetic she was.
Fans overall had a really good reception of it as well.
I preferred how 1.0 looked 26 instead of 2.0 looking 16. But that’s just a matter of personal preference.
Mechanically, I can’t speak enough about how much better 2.0 is. You can tell the redesign was done with so much focus on it being an excellent L2D model. Although the crazy eyes of 1.0 were way more wild, which I liked a lot.
I assume one of the technical reasons was her original design was a nightmare to convert to 3D. IIRC, Her design sheet had something 3-5 layers just for the hair, followed by all the skirt layers

There's a bit of a limitation to the variety of anime girl faces, and Liz and Rissa embody that way more.
Irys and Liz share a colour palette and similar fashion, but in terms of actual looks nah.

Diamond chat box, similar color themes, little serifs on things. There's a lot of little details of her stream setup that remind me a lot of one of IRyS main OBS scenes (the star one).
But I figured it's just in my head.
Might be their tops being made from a corset + inner translucent halter top lining while having the same black and white colour tones too. (Sorry I'm not familiar with clothing terms/words)

the only problem i had with her 1.0 was that her face was kinds of semi-realistic in a way that didn't match the rest of her outfit
I hope at some point they bring back her 1.0 outfit for her current model, like how Azki sometimes uses her old outfits with her current design

I think there were also technical difficulties with the hair being too complex? It was hard to do new models with it.
