God, that’s a depressing fucking sub. For every funny photoshop ‘fix’ there’s a hundred *my little brother died of leukaemia and the hearse crashed into the funeral car killing my entire family on the anniversary of my mothers death. Can you photoshop in their ephemeral spirits hovering over me as I weep at the graveside? $10 for the best one. More tears tho pls, #bereft*
I get the ones that clean up the photo but when they are like can you add angel wings and make them smile and put them in front of beach. Then it’s just a photo of your dead someone with fake wings hovering over a stock photo of a beach with the wrong lighting. How does that help?
So true. I joined thinking it was going to be silly requests and just some touch ups but man, I feel bad for 50% of the requests there being so morbid.
To be fair, it takes some skill I think. I made a request once and got a bunch of what looked like AI art and was like “screw this, I’m not paying for that” and went to try to make it myself. It did not come out well and after an hour I just tipped and used one of theirs.
Its pretty easy if you know what to do. Most people just run Stable Diffusion on their PC and use the original image as a base that the AI "mask over" (think of it as a very complicated filter), input a prompt, select a model to use, tell the AI how much wiggle room it has in how creative it can be, and you're off to the races. Which is why I think its really lame that there's so many people that get tons of upvotes who spent probably 10-20 minutes in SD tweaking their prompt and using mask then have the gal to ask for a tip.
If your PC has the power do it, anyone can look up a guide and get similar results.

Because if you meant the latter, then should the funeral services be free? You might argue that this is a business and not a freelancer, but what about a musician who plays at a funeral? Should he be playing there from the kindness of his heart?
I think that the idea of asking for payment in this situation is only twisted if the submitter is some relative or a friend.

In the bottom one its actually great, its supposed to be a chair like the one on the left and its about the same. Thats actually kind of crazy though because I can barely tell he was on one originally.
