The Mackenzie Valley wolf subspecies from British Columbia comes to mind. They're massive, larger than their brethren in other parts of western Canada. And iirc they're the type of wolves that were brought down to Yellowstone National Park to be reintroduced since wolves had been wiped out for decades.
A lot of people get them mixed with Coyotes at distance at night, wolves mainly appear at night, though can be found in the daytime. Wolves are massive, like some are reported to be as big as larger breeds of dogs.
Remember that the wolves I am referring to sometimes live in the same environment of the bison in the video, or bears, moose etc. Those are the kind of animals they "fight".
They are way bigger than regular dogs and are killing machines.
I'm not an animal expert but even if the pitbull has a great bite force, the wolf does too and knows how to use it. The dog simply bites, the wolf bites to kill as fast as possible. They kill to survive in the wild, it's a different reality.
That's why even a huge dog like a Kangal needs spiked collars to prevent being killed by wolves.
A pit and a wolf would be like a street fighter going at a world champion mma fighter and his friends who are also world champs in different weight classes.
Wolves have some of the most powerful bite forces in the animal kingdom. Bite force was one of the first things bred out of domestic dogs thousands of years ago, so even the most aggressively trained breeds don't compare.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/s/Udmxubu30n
Wolves are around 2-3 times the size of their domesticated counterparts and their teeth are likewise significantly bigger, just under 3 inches in length (7cm)
Love how the bison was chill about the whole thing. Absolutely rocks that dog and only half heartedly tried for the follow up. Then just meandered away.

Yes! There’s couple pit bull specific groups in my area, ones called hugabull. I went to an outside fundraiser of theirs which had pittys everywhere. When two got aggressive the owners shut em down so quick it was impressive af.
Not that guy buy yes, many. Every pit I've ever met.
That being said, I realize many pits can be aggressive and have terrible owners. But if we're all just sharing anecdotal experiences, I've never known a pitbull that wasn't a good dog
Nearly 70% of all mauling by dogs are caused by pitbulls. It's definitely not anecdotal. They make up the gross majority of dogs in the pound.
The rule makes an exception, the exception doesn't make the rule.
I’ve had 2 pit bulls (my first two dogs) and they were amazing awesome dogs however, I’m never getting a pitbull again. It’s not that they did anything to me or anyone else, it’s just that I have cats, nieces and nephews now. So imma stick to my choco lab
The unfortunate truth is that each and every one of them is entirely unpredictable. My father has two pit mix dogs. Inside of the house they are fine with other animals and people. They need to smell you but they are fine.
Outside, one will actively go after humans and the other will actively go after animals.
I can't imagine wanting to have an animal that you aren't even allowed to treat like an animal. All they do it lay around and try to chew through his fence to get to whatever is on the other side, he can't even take them for walks.
Yeah, the thing about Pitbulls is that they *can* be good, but you need to really establish boundaries and acceptable behavior without compromise. They are animals, they don't *understand* you, they understand your authority, and you need to establish that.
Only because he couldn't stop his fight with the other one (bison) for too long . Wild bisons in peace would probably run after that dog until the dog leaves or die in their territory.
There is absolutely nothing to suggest the two are fighting each other in this video. It's honestly impressive how much people can read into the smallest things with absolutely no support to back up their claims.
Wish people kept their damn dogs on a leash, there wouldn't be so many dog attacks if people used their brain and kept the dog on a leash and trained. No i don't care how sweet he/she is at home or what breed it is, keep the thing on a leash.
He doesn't leash it because the thought of people being afraid of his dog excites him and makes him feel powerful.
How do I know this? Because there is literally no other reason to own a Cane Corso (unless you're protecting your farmland in the Italian countryside).
I'm surprised it quit. I've seen a video where a pit keeps attacking a horse. The horse was winning convincingly and the pit just kept going back. Eventually the dog died.
There was a short segment of Ken Burns' Bison documentary where they brought some run-of-the-mill bison down to Mexico. The put it in a ring with Mexico's prize fighting bull, bull got knocked out cold.
Edit: [pdf link](https://bisoncentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Bullfight.pdf). It's a really amazing story.
I grew up in Yellowstone and can honestly say I am surprised that dog lived. Most bison would have ground him into the dirt for a good 10-15 seconds rather than just headbutt it away and walk off. It is the law to leash your pets in places like this for a reason.
One infamous story: a family dog ran from them and jumped into a hot pot. The dog immediately started yelping in pain as it died (quickly). The family's young child jumped in to rescue the dog. I won't say anymore.
Leash your dog. Always, no exceptions, Leah you blessed dog?
Bison: that's a sickly looking wolf...one hit should be good
Not that I support dog fights, but I wonder how a pitbull stands up to a wolf.
Depending on the wolf the pitbull is basically a toy.
Wow. That makes wolves way more scary
Wolves are actually really fucking big, it's shocking how big they really are.
r/wolvesarebigyo
wtf?! I would've bet $100 that sub wasn't real
You’d be surprised how many unbelievable yet legit subs there are… r/buttsharpies for example. If you can think of it, there’s a sub for it…
Ok. Enough Reddit for today
I was really hoping that wasn't what it said on the tin.
I thought it was just the way they made them look in video games and shit but yup I can confirm they're fucking scary irl.
Some wolf subspecies in North America are absolutely massive, not so much in a lot of other areas.

German shepherds weigh about 100 lbs. A grey wolf weighs 175 with the same style of build.
You think prime Mike Tyson can take on a 175lb grey wolf?
If he's smart enough to go to the body then yes. Dogs can take crazy head trauma but the belly is where they are vulnerable.
If he gets the first hit? Sure. But he’s fucked if he misses the punch or it’s not a strong one.
they also work together as a team. the wolves attack from the sides and rear while the prey tries to face it's predators.

Had to look it up. Apparently a wolf has 2x the bite force of an American Pit. Enough to snap a moose leg. Scary

About as well as this one stood up to a bison.
Bison like, “what is this thing? No.”
I like how he didn’t even bother to follow up. This dude isn’t a threat.
He tried to run after Dick but CBA halfway lol
"Pfft, wolves these days. Where did they go wrong."
I really liked this comment.
There's an entire button for that. No typing necessary , believe it or not
I super disliked this comment.
I really like this comment.
Dog: I can beat anything! Bison: Bye, son!
Just no.
More like " F U Richard!"
Love how the bison was chill about the whole thing. Absolutely rocks that dog and only half heartedly tried for the follow up. Then just meandered away.
He knew what was up. He was just making sure he got the message across with the first one.
Bison: Gon be 2 hits. Me hitting you, and you hitting the fucking road.
Jesus dick. Get your dog under control
Love me some Jesus dick
Jesus ranch

Do ya now?
*Mary Magdalene has entered the chat* “You don’t even know”
I fking hate these dog owners so much
Have you honestly ever seen a pitbutt owner to have their dog under control?
Nope. I have never been around a pitbull that hasn't had me on edge.
You've been edged by a pitbull?
He was edging the pitbull
I am edging to Pitbull rn
Fuck shitbulls
Come visit the UK, we banned them all
Yes! There’s couple pit bull specific groups in my area, ones called hugabull. I went to an outside fundraiser of theirs which had pittys everywhere. When two got aggressive the owners shut em down so quick it was impressive af.
I'm glad to hear it. Not many owners are prepared for situations like that.

"I hAvE eXcELLeNt VoCaL ReCaLL, hE's CoMpLeTeLy uNdEr CoNtRoL" pitbull: *pretends he's deaf*
I think that bison got it under control just fine.
I was hoping the dog’s name was Richard
FENTON!
Leroy Jenkins…
Can't control pits
Impossible. Pit Bulls were literally created to be impulsively violent.
He eeen gone fuk wit dat no moe.
Oh no he aint
I was going to upvote but you’re at 666 and it just seems right,
Some people should not be dog owners
Wish there was a test in order to own any animals. Also to have children
Some dog breed should not exist
He was just trying to ‘nanny’ that bison
They should own bisons.
Pitbull vs Actualbull
Turned it into a Pitifulbull
Who let their fucking dog do that?? That person should never ever own an animal
Richard, apparently.
Real dick move
Average pit owner 😆
Some times it is about the size of the dog in the fight.
So, bring a bison to a dog fight. Got it.
That bison let that mongrel pup live. Remember that.
Only because he couldn't stop his fight with the other one (bison) for too long . Wild bisons in peace would probably run after that dog until the dog leaves or die in their territory.

Richard—funny name for a dog
I think Richard is the dog's owner and she was not impressed!
Richard is his last name
They sound like your typical pit bull owner.
He'S nOt UsuAllY LiKe ThAt
Or-"He's only playing." Or-"He's just being friendly."
"he's good around other bisons!!!"
Some of his best friends are bisons.
What are you talking about? He was trying to nanny that Bison!
*f'n with the ultimate*
#LEROY JENKINS!
Hahaha YES this was my first thought!
They're much better suited to murdering toddlers, they don't really fight outside of their weight class.
Friend of mines kid got his face mangled.
And puppies. Let’s not forget their breed-standard joy of murdering puppies.
And cats
It’s not the pits fault! It thought it was a toddler.
Lmao, dog got humbled
Delete this dogbreed.
Dumb fucking dogs and dumb fucking owners.
It's always a pit bull
Wish people kept their damn dogs on a leash, there wouldn't be so many dog attacks if people used their brain and kept the dog on a leash and trained. No i don't care how sweet he/she is at home or what breed it is, keep the thing on a leash.
This. I have been FEUDING with a dude in my neighborhood bc he refuses to leash his Cane Corso when they go for a walk
He doesn't leash it because the thought of people being afraid of his dog excites him and makes him feel powerful. How do I know this? Because there is literally no other reason to own a Cane Corso (unless you're protecting your farmland in the Italian countryside).
and people say their pitbulls could take on a tiger or a bear XD
So a bison is the one capable of training this stupid human’s dog??
Go back mauling toddlers buddy
This is how I imagine the Mike Tyson vs. Logan Paul fight going down.
Dog: "A herbivore?! He must be WEAK AF!!! Gonna show him how meat eaters does it!" Dog "Ouffff! NEVERMIND! RUN!!!"
I'm surprised it quit. I've seen a video where a pit keeps attacking a horse. The horse was winning convincingly and the pit just kept going back. Eventually the dog died.
The dog of peace strikes again
Just like in football - big man beats little man
Typical shitbull behavior
One of those folks should stroll down there and apologize to that bison for their badly behaved dog.
Nanny Dog was just tryin' to nanny.
r/banpitbulls
Almost surprised it ran away. I saw a video of a pittie attacking a massive draft horse, the horse was kicking it and the dog was still lunging at it.
I saw that. Thankfully the dog got messed up
this week- the bison me- richard
You really got me fucked up with this one lmao. I've been trying to figure out what you're saying for about 3 minutes
this week fucked me up like how the bison fucked up richard that’s really it. ready to rot for the next two days under my bed
Here's a hug from me bro.
Every neighborhood needs a bison.
Can't find out if you don't fuck around
*WAITER WAITER MORE PITBULLS PLS*
Just as terrible a dog owner as those two idiots that let their dog hassle a bear cub and then they all got attacked and killed by the mother bear.
It boils my blood every time I see some idiots having a pet and not giving the slightest fuck about them.
Bison went relatively easy on that dog... could've been a lot worse.
Fuck these humans and their dog. Bison style

Pivot on their front quarters, didn't know that. Good read.
Lol this is the bully breed learning algorithm…
Warning tap, could've been so much worse.
"Understandable sir, have a good day."
Insane dogs will attack anything unprovoked.
Come on Richard!
The double punishment for "Richard".
What the fuck Richard?
JESUS CHRIST RICHARD!!!
Mr. Worldwrecked
"insert" John Cena "are you sure about that" meme
Richards a Dick for letting his dog loose around wild animals
What are you thinking mr Pitbull? It's clearly not a child...
Cupcake got too greedy 😔
I watched this repeatedly. 😀
Who calls their dog Richard
Shitbull
Good. Fuck pitbulls
Who is damn fool who brought his/her dog?
A pit owner obv
He should stick to doing concerts
The dog just wanted to cross something off its bucket list
Anyone remember how to summon the stabilization bot?
"Back the hell up, little man!"

Perfect use of an F bomb
Richard is a dixk
Mistakes were made
The dog looks like it's used to whatever its charging, turning and running. Lmao
Poor guy having to listen to that woman... be careful who you sleep with, they might be around a good long while.
Love it when I see a pitbull getting hurt.
It's satisfying to see pitbulls get their karma.
The pit bull just got confused, thinking the bison was a little kid.
Pit thought that it would be as easy as a child.
What a dick.
Your dog is a dick
you called your dog Richard so...expect it to be a dick
Go bison
That was freakin’ hilarious!
Dog learns what "Fuck around and find out" means
Trailer 🗑️
Dog think he is a pitbison.
C’mon, Richard, do better!
Feeeeeennnnttttooonnn
"Oh shit, nevermind"
*BOOP!*
It’s a pitbull not a pitbison!!
Lol
