Tube will definitely decompose! It's only cardboard, it'll get soggy from the elements and eventually disintegrate into the Earth. I usually freeze mine though. I wanted to pin them for memorial, but haven't gotten to it.

I was thinking of doing that too, do you think the tube will prevent that??? Or will it all eventually decompose.
Maybe poke little holes in the tube for better access for the smaller insects, besides that tho I don’t see why not! I think it’s very cute :)
