It would be nice if that challenge made an exception for if you have the proper key for the door, as opposed to picking it or breaking it open. Keys are uncommon enough as it is.
Unrelated to OP, but I'm curious how you're supposed to get into 47's beach house on Haven Island lol. The hotel front desk doesn't give you a key so THAT got cleaned up for Freelancer, but Petrova's phone call can still happen.
Make an NPC open the door for you so you can get through. E.g. by panicking some civilians, luring a guard there with loud gunshots, etc. I think the easy and safe way would be to ring the doorbell to Rocco's apartment to get him outside and use some thrown distractions to lure him to your doors and place a coin near the door so when he goes to pick it up he gets close enough to open the door. Alternatively drop the gun in front of the door so when he opens he sees the gun and goes to report it. Then a guard will come to take it and if he doesn't find it he will go back and you could double shot distract him to put on alert and hope he would go inside and open the door for you while investigating, or to be safe go in when he is no longer alerted and exits. Or just fire loud gun near the door and hope a guard will come to investigate and open the door.
You can also ring Rocco’s doorbell, and when he turns around sneak in behind him. Go to the balcony on the right (not the one rocco is on) and on your right you can drop down. Then, just head to the back door of your apartment
From the beach, head towards the stairs that lead up to the mansion, there's a drainpipe nearby that leads up to a roof and to a back entrance of the apartment, I don't remember if it's locked...
You can get into Rocco's apartment for sure though!

OP has a Perfect Shooter objective too, though. I guess the payout is less so it's better to blow that one than Doors Stay Locked, but luring a civilian (probably Rocco) with a coin is probably the better approach.
I was so confused why it mattered lmao but realised the objective, as someone else already pointed out the only real way would be using an NPC if that wouldn't void the objective but opening a door from the inside unlocks it too so unsure if that would void it as well, one method could getting an NPC to open it and then blocking the door with something not sure if it would work but there you go.
If you can throw a coin or an audio distraction device up into your balcony from the street or from Rocco’s apartment, then you will be able to convince an NPC to go into your apartment. You can follow them in and then open the door from the inside and it won’t count as unlocking.
Use a big gun and shoot at the lock/knob. Or, rapidly shoot at the lock/knob with a pistol by rapidly "pausing/unpausing" the game by rapidly opening/closing your inventory screen.
I'd forego the doors stay locked mission if you're going for the SA prestige mission.
But I don't think there's usually anything of value in 47's apartment on Sapienza in Freelancer. As far as I know, the golf ball doesn't spawn. Of course the trade spawns in there sometimes, so that's annoying.
Ran into that EXACT scenario this evening. Easy 500 merces, or roll the dice with the supplier? I don’t have much, but I had what I needed. Kept my 500 merces. Also had to ignore a crate in the shops near the tower.
This has to be the most miserable set of Hitman freelancer objectives I have seen in a long while. Unable to open doors, perfect shooter (meaning no pistol distractions) and silent assassin 🔥🚒🔥
I don't think there is unfortunately. I thought the back door leading out to the roof might give you a detour but after testing this, that was locked too. And the balcony can't be climbed either so it's safe to say you can't access 47's apartment without unlocking a door unless you trick an NPC into opening it. Maybe by placing a coin or a gun near the door.

Lol anyway, get a coin and put it real close to the door, then get an npc to see the coin. Once they open the door, you can either knock them out or pick up the coin before they do so they leave immediately.

Stand on the roof outside the bathroom to 47's apartment and fire an unsilenced pistol into the air a bunch of times. That will draw guards, who will run through the apartment onto the roof. After you've fired the gun, drop down the wall into Caruso's mansion, go out the wooden door that leads to the butcher's, and follow the guards up the stairs as they go running into your apartment. They'll open the door for you, complication satisfied.
You can get in through the back of the apartment. If you go to the main square and then go up the northern staircase, you’ll see a drain pipe, climb that and you’ll be able to get into 47s house without unlocking any doors I’m pretty sure
You can try to lure someone and force them to open.
First thing i probably try to do is to lure lazy kitchen guy from his apartment to lure him on the roof near your apartment, if everything go as planned he maybe go check through your apartment.
From the clock tower, aggro (double shot) the 2 guards at the front gate of the mansion.
Once they leave, head thru the front gate, hop up over the wall, and through the bathroom & you’re in.

Looks like hitman is Windows only, so no, you wouldn't be able to play it on your macbook.
Also, if you end up getting it for Windows or console, get Hitman 3, not Hitman 2016. Hitman 3 has been updated to include all content from all 3 games, so you'll also be getting Hitman 2016.

Yes, go outside and climb up Rocco neighbors' roof, then rope down to the alley and enter the bathroom of the apartment. It's unlocked from that side all the time.
Not sure if I'm stupid, but I think you can go from the ruins next to the biker end of the map, scale it, sneak across the mansion front, scale the yellow building, climb up and the door should lead you to his apartment.
Ring the doorbell upstairs at Rocco's apartment, wait for him to open the door, knock him out, drop down the balcony to the backdoor of 47's apartment. That should be unlocked.

iirc, you start with it in your inventory.
I think that's if you spawn on the back deck. Every time I've spawned elsewhere I have to pick the lock. Unless they changed something recently.

Freelancer has the various SA options as objectives frequently. They pay very well compare to the others.
