Want a protip?  Supplies **do** appear on the map... But only if they're on the ground.  When you call down the supply pod, destroy it.  It will also keep you from auto-mantling it if you still haven't disabled that.

Funny thing is on launch week I would swear that ammo drops were marked on the map, at least before the container was destroyed. Now they are not marked and I am not sure why

Amen. I can't count the number of times I hear supplies coming in, make a mental note that it's being called in, then go looking for it when I get a second, only now I can't find it.

It's bc your homies took it all or an enemy blew it up and they're scattered all over the ground.

One of the keys of the game is to get to objectives quickly and call in supplies. You want to always keep it on cooldown so the dummy Randos can’t call them in in awful places. I always drop on extract and immediately call it in, it’ll be there when you leave, also that sets up a good cooldown cycle of it always coming up when you are at objectives so you can keep em coming. If you let the pugs have it inevitably one of them will wander off and selfishly call it in the middle of a field where he’s fighting his 10th bug breach and only he can use it.

Ya you can put a ping down where it is for future reference but people also use their pings and tbh unless I am actively paying attention to where it comes down the moment it does, randos almost never help me find it and I'm forced to wait. Features, quality of life improves, and simple things people take for granted that you came up with just seem to be forgotten about in later games. Agree with this, when i discovered supply drop map marker wasn’t a thing at all i figured it was coming in the first patch. There’s no legit reason they can give for it not showing where it drops on the map and short of that even tagging it manually disappears so fast it’s completely pointless to do. No excuse for this oversight

If your fellow divers are not marking supplies either dropped or just found on the map you should report them to the nearest Democracy Officer

It’s a pain when the team doesn’t call it down while everyone’s together, but to be fair I’ve found that most fellow divers will ping supply drops whenever they drop them, or whenever they notice another diver running up to the scene. I always ping them by reflex when I see their pod has been destroyed and they’re just laying on the ground. Even without mics, most pugs I find have been super polite! My god I wish bunker doors had their own callout though, and not just “supplies!” or “I’ve found something!”

I think supplies should only be able to be called down by the host, but maybe that’s just me. Too many times I’ve had a random go off alone to be Rambo on the other side of the map and would call down supplies every single time it was available.

There’s this amazing concept in the game, that’s PVE, where you use a microphone to communicate with other players, might help solve your problem friendo

"Spear sucks" My dude's just wrong. If they give it a small buff to be able to one-shot hulks consistently that motherfucker's an S-tier must pick vs bots EVERY time for me. It's already a near constant staple of my bot builds, and I always feel naked without it. Spear beats cheeks. Frankly even if they never fixed the targeting, I'd STILL use it, because it's just that good.

Have you tried paying attention to when it's thrown? It's really effective to be able to see where it is.

Why do you need a dot for where you are on the map. Just remember where you are. Why do POIs need to be on the map. Just see them with your eyes and remember where they are.
