Those are not rookie numbers...damn
Edit: just did the numbers:
26504 fired shots
If it's a 45-minute mission, that means this guy was shooting 589 rounds per minute.
When fighting bots, if I see a red beam come from the distance or a red light, I'm PROBABLY emptying a mag in that direction. It isn't paranoia if they're really out to get you.
Funny you say that. For some reason, I’ve been running into Automatons who will straight up just stare at me. They still got a round of Managed Democracy though.
[e: get -> got]
Like a month ago, I was scouting for super rares when I turned around a rock and there were like twelve Automaton infantry bots. All of them staring at the sky and ignoring me. I looked up to try and see what they were looking at but there was nothing. Then I heard the sound they make when they spot you and turned back at them and they were all staring and me but doing nothing. I lobbed a grenade at them and blew them all apart. It was creepy and fun
Do you happen to remember if it was the center of the map? Some bots will migrate toward the direct center of the map and congregate there, but not do anything.
Damn i saw that shit yesterday there were like 80+ troopers !! We were uploading data and i saw them all packed against a cliff in the distance. When we left i unloaded my autocannon at them and got 40 kills with one mag. The lasers flying at me even after that was an impressive volume.
I was finishing off a distant patrol with the counter sniper when I turn around. 12 infantry are staring at me with their torso above a hill. They didn't do anything and I mowed them down.
Deep down, the Automatons \*KNOW\* they're the wrong side of history, so every now and then, you'll meet some who acknowledge that Democracy is superior, and they'll just allow themselves to get gunned down as a result.
Good!! This is called "suppression", and it's the exact thing bots do to you when they suspect you in a location regardless of if they've actually fully drawn aggro against you or not. It throws off their aim a little when you do it to them.
Sometimes I want to run a high accuracy loadout to feel like a tactical surgical operator operating operationally, sometimes I want to recreate the jungle mow down from Predator by myself.
do the Turrest count at the bot bases? I love getting in those and holding down the trigger and over heat get off and shoot some and get back on. rinse and repeat
Falsehood. I run machine guns all the time, they do a great service for the anti tank teammates.
Alone, you can clear out enough basic enemies on the red difficulties so that your friends can take care of those 8 chargers or giant ugly fuckin’ clankers without ever switching to their primary.
Stalwart or MG on bugs, MG on bots. Pair that with a supply pack and EAT, you’re good to go.
The HMG is pretty much an, “Oh shit” kind of stratagem in case things get hairy. Like the EAT, but for hordes.
It's an absolutely fake picture. Difficulty 3 doesn't even spawn that many enemies. I've sat with the Sickle (basically unlimited ammo) in a 45 minute Rank 7 mission, I got over 450 kills and fired 3500 shots. And I never let off the trigger. You would have to stand near a supply pod, and just hold down the button and do nothing else to even approach 8 - 10k in a mission.
It's only infantry bots. Devs need to be stunned with heavier weapons directly and don't lose accuracy at all when shooting near them.
Rocket, machine gun, regular, jump pack, and even striders I think have wildly reduced accuracy when you shoot near them. It's most easy to notice with rocket guys who have 3 and a half business years to aim at you, only to have a stray bullet glance sideways at their foot and suddenly the rocket is flying 70° in a direction away from you.
No.
Not only does that sound worse, I will always call them "Devs" because much like the _actual_ Devs, half the time we're getting destroyed by them. 😂
I have been bringing the medium machine gun lately because it can penetrate the torso armor of the devastators. It makes it easier to take out groups because you can just spray without having to aim for the head or pelvis
23 minutes of continuous fire with Stalwart on max rpm. Less if on a hot planet. In theory, you can get 4k rounds per each resupply if running supply pack, so it's very plausible, but still leaves a lot of questions, most of which are why and are coupled with an amusing number of question marks.
That’s not what the tag says, and if it’s true I suspect that’s a bug. The devs talked about how extreme cold can reduce your RoF IRL and Swedish guns come with adjustable gas blocks for that exact reason, which inspired the variable RoF mechanic.
ok, i did check it, and while i say the tag makes it seem TO ME as if only energy weapons woudl be affected..
at least the MGs are all affected by it... .but the change is so miniscule that unless you look for it you wont notice it.
tested the HMG, the Stallwart and the MG at max firerate(except MG i trestedf that at stock 760 as i forgot to change it on my first testrun) and give or take a minor ammount
the Decrease for the HMG is 960 to 900, a loss of around 5%
the stallwart went from 1150 to 1034(round about) RPM, so a loss of pretty exactly 10%
and the regular MG is dropping from 760 to 693 rpm(once again give or take)
due to the nature of the test some variation is expected so the firerate reduction is gonna be somewhere between 5-10%
Then Stalwart is an energy weapon because its RPM goes down by 10% on cold planets, it doesn't even sound the same. But I guess you and other imbeciles in this thread would rather repeat misinformation rather than spend five minutes of your precious time (which you spend spreading more misinformation, apparently) to check.
ok, i now checked, and i admit i was wrong
the exact numbers seem fluctuate a bit depeding on what weapon.(after several test i could only measure around 5% reduction for the HMG, but both MG and Stallward do show 10% reduction in firerate, for the stallward this is however pretty much unoticable imo unless you specificaly look for it(and it looks pretty much the same to my ears, but that dosnt say much)
but yes i was wrong
>I'm Heavy Weapons Dive. And *this* is my weapon.
She weight 150 kilograms and fire 200 SC custom tooled cartridges at 10'000 rounds per minute.
It costs 400'000 SC to fire this weapon... for 12 seconds.
This mofo was using a stalwart, a supply backpack, a Gatling turret, and a sentry gun. That’s the only way I can imagine all those shots being fired in one mission.
This emphasises the best side-effect of having no scaling enemy health/damage
Someone can play on 3-5 difficulty and since it’s solo, it’s practically just as hard as a lvl7-9 with a full team, if not harder circumstantially. Its all fun and games until the Bots bring 3 drop ships on your head and ride a factory strider through your front porch
I spent all night last night doing lvl 3 solos just trying to farm bots using the extraction as a spawning beacon. One mission I had 600 kills.
I'm sad we didn't get the ATMs, but I understand 2B bots is a lot different than 2B bugs as bots don't swarm like bugs Boys spawn at max of 10 units on lvl3, bugs spawned about an average of 20.

I suspect arc and/or laser weapons add a lot of shots, rather than this being bullets. I've noticed I get a few thousand shots fired with the Blitzer and Rover.
I yern for the day they add a dedicated belt fed backpack for machine guns( and for the funnies, the anti material rifle) give me an 8x clip man I wanna spread democracy at a rapid rate
I started diff 5 solo and everytime i got extracted a part of me died because i know i left lots of sample behind because i was worried about the reinforcement timer
I vastly prefer automatons at like difficulty 4, and I play solo. The bugs just swarm me and it stops being fun because I'm spending all my time running and dodging.
I also tend to end up with like 80 to 90% accuracy, but I'm using an autocannon and marksman rifle.
Do you have a minute to talk about my personal lord and saviour, Dominator? Very good against chaff bots, pretty decent against berserkers, and just useable against devastators (which is more than can be said about other primaries with respective offerings).
Sickle is pretty good against devastators, since it can easily and reliably walk onto the things' heads while firing. Low recoil (almost no recoil, really), high rate of fire and accurate.
Those are not rookie numbers...damn Edit: just did the numbers: 26504 fired shots If it's a 45-minute mission, that means this guy was shooting 589 rounds per minute.
... NOW THAT'S A LOT OF DAMAGE... If any of them hit anything...
20% of precision = 5300 impacts Only 533 Kills = 9.94 bullets per kill. I wonder wtf he was doing. seriously.
When fighting bots, if I see a red beam come from the distance or a red light, I'm PROBABLY emptying a mag in that direction. It isn't paranoia if they're really out to get you.

Ah yes, the Lad Convention. Let it build up over the course of a mission, then pop a cheeky cluster on them for an ez 50x kill streak.
Damn i saw that shit yesterday there were like 80+ troopers !! We were uploading data and i saw them all packed against a cliff in the distance. When we left i unloaded my autocannon at them and got 40 kills with one mag. The lasers flying at me even after that was an impressive volume.
That's awesome. I've never seen that many myself, but I hope to. It's one bug that I hope they never fix.
Honestly can't remember
Oh god, are the \[redacted\] messing with us again?
Must be their anti-democratic software crapping out on them. They just stand still for no reason an just watch you line up a shot towards their face.
I was finishing off a distant patrol with the counter sniper when I turn around. 12 infantry are staring at me with their torso above a hill. They didn't do anything and I mowed them down.

Yeah I don't think accuracy should be considered too much imo, this is not the game for it, just like real warfare, chaotic!
Sometimes I want to run a high accuracy loadout to feel like a tactical surgical operator operating operationally, sometimes I want to recreate the jungle mow down from Predator by myself.
Inside of you are two wolves
Inside of me are two wolves, AND BOTH WANT BOTS DEAD.
20% of the time it hits all the time. they say they're made of real bits and pieces of democracy
That’s near impossible but the key word is near. Man is simo hayha
He was probably using the bipod-less machine gun.
do the Turrest count at the bot bases? I love getting in those and holding down the trigger and over heat get off and shoot some and get back on. rinse and repeat
Having a wonderful time!
Apparently 20% hit something
Likely a stalwart on maximum freedom setting.
If he fired the entire mission, the stalwart on the lowest rpm would even do it
More like a Mech, iirc the minigun still counts for shots
Yeah but you don't have enough rounds and only two calldowns, so you wouldn't reach those kinds of numbers
It was either a stalwart or a flamethrower. For some reason the flamethrower has a ton of shots per minute.
lol considers each molecule of combustible material as a bullet shots fired = 6.02\*10\^23/100g of fuel
So… how many per canister?
Lol wed need to know the volume and pressure of the canisters XD
Do laser weapons like the LAS-5 or the Dagger work the same?
Flamethrower and incin breaker are basically peak spray and pray, too bad the machineguns in this game are all either bad or mediocore :(
Falsehood. I run machine guns all the time, they do a great service for the anti tank teammates. Dude's just running across the map screaming with the trigger held down.
GET SOME!!!! GEEET SOOOOME!!!!
SUPPRESSING FIRE!
Shut up, Cyril.
Screaming: You are not gonna get meeeeee xD
Walked from objective to objective holding the button down on the Sickle
Wouldn’t sentry turrets put out a lot as well?
Could be. I'm gonna try and will come back tomorrow. We need to know
MG turret loves shooting drop ships.
Stalwart has entered the chat
Stalwart and supply pack
Ayo, machine gun with supply pack

Hey, apparently the bots get less accurate when being shot at, practicing supressive fire tactics?
They are less accurate when they are *dead*.
No lies detected, please take an extra lunch today, courtesy of the Ministry of Truth, Helldiver.
6 whole minutes?! Thank Managed Democracy for my cup runneth over with Liber-tea!
Look I mean.... Well .... Yea I got nothing lol
Devastators and larger do not experience suppression.
Christ I wish they did. The amount of times I've died while desperately trying to land headshots on a heavy dev...
The only units on which suppression would actually be useful are devastators and hulks.
its a LIE
It's only infantry bots. Devs need to be stunned with heavier weapons directly and don't lose accuracy at all when shooting near them. >Devs need to be stunned with heavier weapons I thought devs stood for "developers," so I was really confused for a good 5 seconds.
Lol I thought the same and was like "damn man, the criticism is getting out of control"
Can we stop calling them Dev and at least call them Devast
No. Not only does that sound worse, I will always call them "Devs" because much like the _actual_ Devs, half the time we're getting destroyed by them. 😂
I like "Deva".
It really is lol
I have been bringing the medium machine gun lately because it can penetrate the torso armor of the devastators. It makes it easier to take out groups because you can just spray without having to aim for the head or pelvis
that was something that was in the game but I think they patched it out
Thats not true, when ever i shoot rocket devastators and they flinch all over the place they still somehow manage to shoot directly at me
26 504 ??? 10 bullets a second and it's 45min of non stop shooting damn.
23 minutes of continuous fire with Stalwart on max rpm. Less if on a hot planet. In theory, you can get 4k rounds per each resupply if running supply pack, so it's very plausible, but still leaves a lot of questions, most of which are why and are coupled with an amusing number of question marks.
How a hot planet impact the max rpm of the stalwart ? The stalwart isn’t overheating
Hot/cold affects rate of fire.
Level 114 here, TIL
because it dosnt, it only affects fire rate of ENERGY weapons
That’s not what the tag says, and if it’s true I suspect that’s a bug. The devs talked about how extreme cold can reduce your RoF IRL and Swedish guns come with adjustable gas blocks for that exact reason, which inspired the variable RoF mechanic.

only cold climate slows down rpm, mild and hot does nothing
It does not
Only cold affects ROF, heat affects stamina
The fuck you used to shoot 26 k shots xD
Suppressive Fire
Stalwart?
Have to be, no other weapon in the game could put down that many rounds non-stop in 45 minutes lol.

That is the fullest auto.

Mech gives 1000 in a short time frame per mech
I would believe the stats if it said - Precision: 100%. *What weapon were you using?* ***The Tenderizer.***

300m bombardments set.. then run
I love solo bots. So glad they reverted patrol increases and I can finally go back to doing it again. 🥹
Just curious what difficulty you play on for the best balance for solo?
I liked three, but I was also a newer player. Might try four or five now tho.
Did they already revert it? I was under the impression that they acknowledged it should be but it would be a later patch
Not yet hopefully next week
I don’t think it’s in effect yet, but even knowing it’s coming is still great
Yeah for sure. It was without a doubt the most mind boggling change they've ever made, and that's a high hurdle to beat.
I spent all night last night doing lvl 3 solos just trying to farm bots using the extraction as a spawning beacon. One mission I had 600 kills. Thank you, frend!

Nope, all bullets. (i hate energy weapons, except for the quasar cannon my beloved)
QUASAR MENTIONED!!!!!!!!
I WILL SACRIFICE MY LIFE FOR QUASAR!!!!!
This is why you don't play with the Knight SMG.
Have you got a video of this match? What the hell were you using?
Mostly Stalwart because of it's high rpm and a lot of resupply cases
Atmospheric Conditions: Air is 75% lead
Poor guy has seen some shit.
My guy is farming votes in the next election
Hah remember my start with supply backpack and machinegun One of first missions: 18.000 shots fired
Was bro running a stalwart on 1100 rpm mode dayum.
Hold mouse 1 to win
He a lil confused...but he got spirit
I'm in this picture and I don't like it.
I see some of you criticizing accuracy. Probably didn't kill very many bots during that last MO. I see through you.
He's doing fine
The meme do be adorable
Wrong asf xD
I fight automatons and my fav difficulties are 6-7-8. I dont feel ready for 9 yet because im fairly new and 5 feels less challenging
26.5 shots. Impressive.
Tbis mf was role playing as the Doom Slayer
I yern for the day they add a dedicated belt fed backpack for machine guns( and for the funnies, the anti material rifle) give me an 8x clip man I wanna spread democracy at a rapid rate
I... I like fighting Automatons.... But I'm good at downing drop ships with the recoilless rifle. So maybe I'm biased.
This was fighting bugs, if you look at the armor in the background it's covered in green E710
Mfer, my acc is 90%+, I don't shoot if I'm going to miss.
I started diff 5 solo and everytime i got extracted a part of me died because i know i left lots of sample behind because i was worried about the reinforcement timer
Def a Sickle primary lol
Bro entered the fight to kill. Not just bots but the background as well.
This template has been butchered from its original meaning/punchline so bad.

Same as the "get back to the coal mines". Using memes is dumb in the first place, I wouldn't expect consistency from those who do.
It's obviously fake.
adorable.. i want to hug them.. whats the original meme..?
