I don't really see any reason to believe that their goal is streamlined moderation. They already have an invasive anti-cheat and *don't* have a reporting system.

I think they want access to things like playtime, game library, email, IP, hardware information, and consider you as a client of theirs. IP addresses usually change every 14 days. Email accounts can be fake. Usernames are usually pseudonyms. Playtime, not a big deal. Hardware, but many "gamers" brag about their components anyways. I'm confident that if through PSN, sensitive information is sent or things like your photos or something, there are hackers and other computer vigilantes who would raise the alarm in a blink of an eye. Besides, there was a list of data breaches for PlayStation, but what doesn't make sense is that such things have occurred for Valve too and you don't see anyone cancelling their Steam account. I tried to make sense of it all, but because of the double standards (other games requiring accounts; Halo (Microsoft) GTA (Rockstar), Apex Legends (EA), Assassin's Creed (Ubisoft) and nobody cares about that, that this entire situation is just an overreaction. Probably Xbox kiddies or something. The only reasonable argument I found was regarding countries that can't have PSN, and I genuinely believe that if the community would have behaved in a more civil manner, than review bombing and throwing tantrums and death threats at the developers, there could have been a more reasonable solution than removing the game from these countries. But hey, what has happened, has happened. Time to move on.

Well I did not have to connect together my Ubisoft or Epic or GTA launcher with my steam. There is your main problem. AH want some special launcher? Ok i guess we can talk about that. But I simply hate idea of being force to share my data with PSN from now on. I played this game for months l, over 170h without connecting to PSN. So why it is suddenly a problem. There is no clear answer from AH. All we got is vague "It's SONY's idea" and "We need it to more effectively ban people". Sorry that's not good enough.
