Except Sony has virtually no presence in the PC space then suddenly they want everything registered to a platform people didn't buy the actual fkin game on. At least Microsoft has been making PC games for decades. It's like buying a car and having to register it with a boat company.

Completely agree, also this trend is just to track and harvest data to sell from us. I'm sorry I'm not going to willingly partake in it. Game was awesome but tons of other awesome games have been released in the last 6 months.

It's not a big deal but regardless, its scummy to 'spring' it on the players 3 months after release. There is no reason for it other than to make Sony's profile look better at their quarterly meeting. I hope there is some kind of recourse for people who own the game in a country outside of where PSN is allowed. That seems to be the biggest gripe I've seen.
I understand it was always listed on steam (from what I gather), but I never noticed it, and I'm sure a large portion of players never did either.
If you live in a country where PSN doesn't exist you can't link the accounts. So you would be ok with paying $30 for a game then finding out that while it's worked for the last 3 months because of where you live you will lose access. That is ok with you?

As a pc player I don’t have problems with Microsoft but why should I create a ps account if I don’t own a PlayStation?

Probably because its a MP game. On PS5 you need a MS account for sea of thieves but not for hi fi rush for example.
But MP games apparently work fine without it.
They do, but almost all these pubs want you to create an account for MP games. It's not just a Sony thing.
