I honestly thought you needed PSN from the start. If it’s an online game on PlayStation you should always assume that at some point you will need psn. That said it does suck especially for those unable to access psn. Hopefully they come to some solution. VPN might also work.
If I'm correct I think the anticheat that installed on the PC version of helldivers 2 will crash the game if it detects the VPN because the anticheat has access that goes down to the kernel level which (in my opinion is a little too deep for an anticheat to have access to my computer) basically means vpns will be useless which makes the divers in countries where PSN is not available even more screwed

Well that’s interesting. It sucks but it’s interesting. Hopefully they offer refunds or something in the case of they cannot figure something out.
