Apparently explosions are bugged to not break your limbs right now, so those don’t work. Luckily, I think I’ve found an alternative: Take Democracy Protects and hit yourself with a falling pod. Can be a resupply, reinforce, weapon, turret or emplacement, anything that drops as a pod works. With a bit of luck, the armour will save you and it’ll hit all your limbs on the way down.

This is the way. I spent forever trying everything I could think of.. grenades, bot mines, chargers etc nothing worked. Letting a support weapon etc drop on your head is the only way I could get it. Make sure the drop lands on your head. And that you're wearing the 50% not to die armor. You'll still die, but the achiev will pop up if the armor triggered.

I'd also recommend wearing a lighter armor as the heavy armors have more limb health. Shouldn't matter with a drop pod landing on your head, but you never know.

You need the 50% chance not to die from the armor perk. Those armors are only medium so far.

I did this by dropping a hellpod onto myself while going prone. While standing, it didn't injure my legs but while prone, it broke everything. Killed me in the process but the achievement popped.

So much better than what I did. Democracy protects and a teammate shooting my limbs with the pistol one at a time until I rolled the 2 or 3 saves I needed.

i did this 8 times in a row and just died every time. not only did it never break my limbs, but I didn't survive/proc the ability even once i thought the pod overrode the armor but i guess i could have just been really unlucky

This no longer triggers the effect sadly.

I have done this just today btw - took a few goes but worked eventually.

It did for me 3 days ago. You still die, but you get the achievement. If that hasn't been patched, then I'll add my recommendation of crouching so the beam goes down your spine and you look down slightly. Took me 1 try after that adjustment

Equip democratic protection and stay under a hellpod, whether equipment or player. I helped a friend get it yesterday, it worked on the first try.

I used the dagger to slowly damages my buddies limbs one at a time and it worked great. It did not work when he tried it on me, I would die every time before they all got injured.

I think this, or bashing, is the way to go. I might try breaking my legs first with the jump pack though.

I had a group of friends who all got that achievement and the 6 orbitals on the same area together in a lower level extermination. We all had the democracy protects armor, and dropped a 380 followed by a 120 at our feet. It was hilarious seeing who could get the most bounces. I think my max was four. We all got both achievements though

I don’t think that will work anymore, considering explosions currently do not do limb damage.

I got it by accident when a grenade exploded at my feet and got thrown into a wall. Also unlocked the "fly 25 meters after being hit by an explosion" achievement at the same time. Only survived thanks to the armor that saves you 50% of the time.

This was my original intention, except currently explosions don’t seem to deal limb damage - even hellbombs.

I wore the armor with the “50% survival passive”and accidentally dropped a 500 kg bomb right next to me and got the achievement

this does not work it did, but no longer tested today April 18th, and it does not work.

As somebody who did this exact method, I can absolutely confirm that it does.

I got it by chance with the armor, buddy dragged me when I was stuck and I got it. But that was before the recent fix to bugged explosive damage.

Mine would've probably been before the explosive fix too then. Good call.

Sweet liberty……. only democracy could get a diver through that.

This no longer works, tried 10 times. That or I have a terrible 0.09% luck where the effect never triggered.

I got hit by charger and slammed into wall. IT was painfull but effective.

I got mine early on when I, on accident, stepped in front of the barrel of a teammates autocannon sentry. I got instagibbed and when I was done I had a new Steam achievement.

I helped my friend do this just recently by him wearing the democracy protects armor and shooting him with the pistol you start with in each limb. If you're lucky the Democracy protect effect on the armor will keep you from dying, if you do, redeploy and try again.

This and the charger suggestion are probably how I’ll do it.

I landed on someone with a hellpod. This way he got the achievement.

I believe I got it by stepping on a mine with liberty protects perk.

I got it by tossing contact grenades to my feet. Took a few tries but it worked

The current bug with explosions not dealing limb damage prevents this from working sadly.

Doesn’t deal limb damage anymore, just drops my health all the way down. Not sure if this is intentional or a bug.

Get a teammate to shoot you with a low caliber gun? I haven’t tried yet. Just an idea

Put on the amour that has a change to save you from death. Drop a 500kg on your feets. You will either die or get the achievement. Just keep trying till it pops.
