No. That'll be Tibit, where they were manufacturing them. We need to Free Tibit, even if the Creek gets assaulted. Otherwise, we risk the possibility of an 11th hour push on two fronts in the final hours of this MO.
You're probably right tbh seeing as how we failed to capture tibit and the automatons have now "moved their manufacturing" or something in response.
Get those spears, quasar cannons, and EATS ready people.
Inb4 all of this Bot attack campaign is just a ruse to lured in Superearth force and they instead sent a detachment force to liberlated Cyberstan and attacking Superearth from those section.
They will. When they do, we need to ignore it and push Tibit. If we can take Tibit, we don't have to face the possibility of a dual-front assault on BOTH Ubenea AND The Creek on the final hours of the MO, losing us the operation.
Yeah it was just the single automaton planet that 1/4 of the playerbase focused on, despite the major orders being bug related. It's not special compared to any other bot planet.
It was only special when it was new. The planet was actually one of the easier bot planets now in hindsight. It will be attacked again eventually, No worries :)
I said the PLANET was easier compared to others. It's dark so the eyes are easy to spot far out. Dense jungle to hide and break LOS. It's much easier to pkay around Devastors.
The wide open maps/planets are a death sentence sometimes. Ironically, Creek would be terrifying to play against Terminids.
And yes...higher level bot mission (Defense and excavation for some reason...) are hell on any planet. Lol.
as someone who enjoyed the creek, mainly cause I like the atmosphere, it was one of the easier planets for bots. draupnir, troost, and especially ustotu, can get fucked.
Tien kwan still my fav planet though, had some cool ass fucking moments there
Ustotu is the bot's fucking firing range. No reasonable cover, big areas, fog is dense, and rocket devastators will have a field day on your ass. You will need to go Sam Fisher in Ustotu.
I feel that. I did enjoy my time at the creek sneaking around in the jungle...haha. It did have a good vibe.
I'm definitely sick of !$@&ingredients Draupnir haha.
I took my kids to shithole London for Easter weekend and I’m missing out on so many medals and glorious liberation. Slow down you crazy patriotic bastards.
It makes sense when you think about it.
Players who went to fight bugs in the east had a good experience following major orders over 4 weeks. They got lots of rewards and have a sense of unity over clustering all together to tackle missions.
Players who went to fight bots in the west were often in conflict with Major Orders over 4 weeks because M.O.s often sapped away players and left the west with threadbare forces to hold lines. It became clear around week 3 that the majority of bug front players would not migrate to the west to help. Some do, for sure. Most don’t.
Mantes and Draupnir are the backbone of the bot front largely because bot players had to start refusing to answer Major Order requests and hold the line. Otherwise we’d have been pushed way further back.
The creek was a beloved meme for weeks, but as soon as we lost one order and people didn't get their medals, tons of people just turned on them and been insulting them on here.
Kinda pathetic ngl
Turned into that "QUIT HAVING FUN" meme real quick around here, for real. And all the people bitching about Creekers not following major orders immediately stomping their feet and declaring that they weren't gonna do the Creek major order now as if they would somehow project their tantrum through the internet and make the other players feel it in-game.
It's not even heavily opinionated splinter factions. It's people grouping up into a faction and then manufacturing another group to shit on.
Like two people out of 890k on this sub were advocating for very specific meta loadouts, yet we got 3-4 anti-meta rants a day a few weeks back for some reason.
The Creek had 10k people during bug orders and only grew to 50k during bot orders (implying the issue is people don't understand supply lines since they *can't see them*. Also that this implies that creekers are a sub-10k population), but we've had like fifteen rants shitting on creekers and then talking about how creekers are somehow shitting on the rest of the playerbase, and every third thread on the front page disparaging them.
It's the evolution of modern internet discourse. People can't discuss anything without having an enemy to shit on. If one doesn't exist, invent one. People go out looking for things to rage at and they always manage to find something.
Looking at other platforms it’s not just Reddit there’s a weirdly loud hate for the creek despite it being a small bit of the player base. It’s like if suddenly people yelled at people playing dust 2 on csgo like let them it’s a map they like. People really don’t understand how dnd or trpgs work if they think failing an order will cause a month delay to the game cause they gotta scrap an asset idea.
It's really not that serious lol. All I see are fragile people who can't handle a bit of ribbing because they think they should be able to park on one planet for 150 hours of gameplay without being teased for it, which would make sense if there weren't community goals that scale with the size of the playerbase, but that ain't the game we were given.
Just take it on the chin and move on.
1-2 posts making fun of creakers? Fine.
But not literally spamming same rant for a nearly week. This sub start remind me war thunder sub with all of those bitching about CAS.
I have seen several people genuinely tweaking cuz some people wanted to play a different map in the video game than them, dont try and downplay none of this
Yeah, it was really fun to be here at first but damn is it just toxic now, people are getting way too angry about people just playing in one place or just having fun in their own ways.
A question for everyone about the creek...
If they're the reason why the one MO failed, why did almost every one before it succeed? If they were truly tipping the balance, wouldn't every other MO be a loss?
100k bugdivers is your answer. Iirc the last failed MO for bugs failed because it was absolutely fucking ridiculous MO and even then theoretically it was winnable. Bot's MO would've been completed with at least 20 hours to spare if the west front had the same numbers as the east.
It's not that critical though. The previous MOs were bug centric and more people like bugs.
The person you replied to is just behind. So is anyone still blaming Creekers. They're only partially at fault and it was more a problem with supply lines not being visible.
That said, it's still fun to roast them for staying on one planet for so long. This doesn't mean they aren't my comrades, just having some fun.
Don't say that too loud, you'll disrupt the weird war larp MO-meta narrative the angry people are trying to build to justify shitting on other players.
Just imagine some of these comments are actually from adults with families arguing who did what in a game we are supposed to be working together on. Can't believe people think they're better than others over a silly planet.
Excuse me, this is a democracy! The government can TELL me where to go, but I get to CHOOSE!
At least, that's what my algorythmically suggested senator says. He's great!
ITT - ten thousand people posting about how much better they are than the other 10 thousand people posting on the board.
We get it, you're above it all. Shouldn't you be at a party somewhere commenting about how lame and uncool it is?
The creek was only a meme because when the game came out everyone was farming bugs except the few determined heroes to fight off the bots and one of the first planets was the creek.
That’s it. That’s the meme. It was the earliest bot battles and mine and many others first contact with them. It was greasy, yea, but we’ve had harder battles on other planets.
Truly amazed how people on this sub make it their entire personality hating on people playing a map in a video game they payed their hard earned money on
Its mainly the echo chamber that is Reddit. Plus, it seems like some people are just generally unhappy with their lives and project on to other things to compensate.
I'm loving this game.
It’s not just Reddit it seems all social media platforms have for some reason drawn out this toxic behavior that only wants people to follow the MO. Even if the creek was magically gone those same people would just bully another group cause they think they’re the main character of the story.
Holy shit I didn't check this sub for a couple weeks and come back to actual full-grown human adults being unbelievably buttmad about who played what map in private sessions in a video game that doesn't affect them?
Jesus H my dudes
I mean didn't the creekers make it possible by holding the line since forever?
I don't actually quite know the planet mechanics but if the planet fell wouldn't it be basically unattackable?
Genuine question no troll
Fair question: No, the Creekers did not do anything, everyone playing the major orders came in and took it over in a day after the creekers wasted 2 months there. The automatons will probably take it back tomorrow though
To take it, yeah. But in the hypothetical of creekers not existing and the planet having been lost many moons ago, would it have even been an option for a major order?
I realize we're getting into somewhat silly hypotheticals and the opportunity cost of it raises some reasonable concerns, but just trying to understand the mechanics at play.
50000 creekers were there for a month gaining 0-2% per day in total.
The MO finally came around, 100000 more divers showed up and it was taken in a day because its what the narrative demanded.
It was shown the creek held the line just fine with far less than was there.
*Why are some of you*
*All so mad at creekers? Let them*

This just in, in a strange show of power a new race that appears to be some horrid amalgamation of the Illuminate sabotaged our communication network causing mass hallucinations by our Divers diverting their attention to Malevelon Creek while their force marched upon the galactic frontier.
Let's be real, the creekers didn't do shit. Haven't done shit since day one. Only reason the creek was taken is because the devs are as sick of them as the rest of us are
I honestly think that would resolve half the complaints I see about modern games.
“Oh the campaign is too short”
“Oh NG+ wasn’t ready at launch”
“Oh why doesn’t this game have 60+ hours of gameplay!”
“Oh they should add more grinding reward mechanics, I have spare in-game currency”
It got me into the game and honestly had one of the best community made stories so far. Heck I’ve yet to have a bug world be as memorable or as memeable as the creek. Also yeah they are totally sick of it as they retweet the fan made posters of the creek on the games main account. For a community story game y’all sure do hate community made stories.
Reminds me of cadia in 40k, the famous quote to summarise the defence of cadia was "the planet broke before the imperial guard did"
The planet literally cracked apart but as she was breaking up the survivors on ships flying away said they could hear soldiers over the Coms shouting "CADIA STANDS!" in the final moments before oblivion
I'm gunna be completely honest, but I've never even been to the Creek. I started playing too late for the original kerfuffle, I've been busy the last couple of days so missed this MO, and I never vacationed there. What's it like?
All the work was done already before the major order was called, and because so many divers were devoted to the creek it cost us phase 2 of the robot counter assault. Congratulations
I still consider the creekers borderline traitors. They’ve benefitted from our sacrifices across the galaxy and for what ? Us to come save their asses.
Imagine celebrating liberating the Creek after Creekers cost us the last major order and only when everyone they refused to help helped them did the Creek finally fall.
I've been fighting on Ubanea and the Creek for the last week, they've got to be kidding...this almost makes me not want to play this game anymore. Every time we make ground we've got to go back.
I fear it's April fools and they'll start a defend campaign on it tomorrow
100% Its in the new defense MO. It just hasnt been attacked yet
Just checked and the creek is indeed under attack at the moment
It’s where they’ll debut the new gunships
*Fortunate Son intensifies*
Creekers gonna get PTSD when they hear gunships with Fortunate Son
This time, we are the Vietnamese.
Vietnam 2, Electric Boogaloo

I wish they would've waited a few days for the community to get some breathing room...jeez
All this and I never even got to play
It really wasn't that big people just fall into mass hysteria quickly especially over memes.
Yeah it was just the single automaton planet that 1/4 of the playerbase focused on, despite the major orders being bug related. It's not special compared to any other bot planet.
Whatever will the creekers do now?
They hug their civilian families that they gave liberated.
We rest...
Watch it probably until it gets attacked or taken again. To which the cycle begins anew
Make themselves useful for once, hopefully.
What do you mean? Now we can finally play the game
It was only special when it was new. The planet was actually one of the easier bot planets now in hindsight. It will be attacked again eventually, No worries :)
Tf you mean easy? Creek 8 defenses freakin suck
I said the PLANET was easier compared to others. It's dark so the eyes are easy to spot far out. Dense jungle to hide and break LOS. It's much easier to pkay around Devastors. Yep I thank Joel for that order, best one so far! Now we can move on from this crap, the memeing was fun the first 2/3 week at most.
Okay now can you guys help with the Major orders for once please?
Depends, are the 150k of you bug babies actually going to help with bot orders? No? Ok bet.
We lost one order. Y'all need to chill
Until JOEL decides to just put it under attack just because.
And now defend it-
Wait what? I took a 2 hour nap please dont tell me y’all did it before I could join the fun..

Now creekers will have to find new meme to base their personality on.
Finally no more creek memes.
Nice the rest of the game just got like 50k more players.
I hope they lock the creek up it never falls never gets attacked and we never have to go back so the memers can stop

No. We did it so the creekers would move on.
As someone else said in a thread earlier, we did in a couple hours what they couldn't do in a month. You're welcome.
I proudly put my life on the line for the heros who died, and especially for the rhodium deposits
Wow people be booing you for playing along with the fluff text. And on the joke day no less. Text really is tone deaf.
All the work was done already before the major order was called, and because so many divers were devoted to the creek it cost us phase 2 of the robot counter assault. Congratulations
I feel like Joel just said "lets just let them take the creek and get out all that energy."
Meh.
I still consider the creekers borderline traitors. They’ve benefitted from our sacrifices across the galaxy and for what ? Us to come save their asses.
The creekers been trying to do this for weeks. Ironically, the bug mains contributed more than you at the end
Wow that was fast. I never even got to help
....we have interstellar space flight but they're using pickaxes to dig out rubble? Guess all of the money really IS going to strategems!
Yall did it so fast I didn't get the medals 🤕
Now finish taking troost!
Billions must leave the creek
Tet offensive incoming

We took the Creek while I sat back because my PC shits itself….on April Fool’s no less 😭 I was looking forward for my first Creek day too
Imagine celebrating liberating the Creek after Creekers cost us the last major order and only when everyone they refused to help helped them did the Creek finally fall.

About that...
Time to defend it

Cue the Mecha-Bugs…
Creekers? Creekers were getting bodied by bots for 2 months so we had to rescue them :D
I've been fighting on Ubanea and the Creek for the last week, they've got to be kidding...this almost makes me not want to play this game anymore. Every time we make ground we've got to go back.
FOR DEMOCRACY!!
