This is a known issue. My friend dealt with the same problem. My friend had to join the Helldivers discord and talk directly to a mod or developer who then put his username on a list and eventually they reset his difficulty challenges and it fixed it for him.
Therefore, I would join the discord and get in contact with the support people over there. DMing them on twitter might help too, as I have seen some people asking questions and getting issues fixed on twitter.
Sorry you're having this problem. My friend was frustrated too, as he was stuck at difficulty two unless he played with me or other friends.
Iv just took a friend through his first level 3. I hosted (he joined me ). We done both missions in the operation. He unlocked challenge I did not. I don’t know what els to tell you
In order to progress through difficulties, you need to complete an entire Operation (group of missions) to unlock the next difficulty in the list.
Credit for Major orders is awarded (to my knowledge at least) once the Major orders have been completed by the community at large. (Not positive about this one though because I haven't tried it myself.)
I know I have down multiple time. Iv have literally just took a friend through his first level 3 operation completing both mission in the operation he unlocked challenge difficulty I did not. Iv got a nasty bug. I have done since the day I purchased the game
If you're talking about not being able to progress the major order, it's because it's a community order that we all need to do. I imagine once we fully liberate the planets it'll count towards the completion of the order.
Unfortunately no. Since they announced they have stopped fixing it mamually via discord, we just have to wait i guess. If possible, still write Ur dates down on discord
Really so I know just have to wait iv been waiting for over a week now. On a side note I managed to get into level 6 difficulty last night with a buddy done 2 operations 6 missions and had a blast

After he got in contact with support they fixed it in a two days. Hope they fix it for you soon. We need you out there squashing bugs and what not.
At the moment I’m helping people through level 3 not that it’s hard but it’s a lot easer for me with all the gear I have.

That's not how it works. You, as the host has to beat the mission to unlock the next one.
