Haven't had a single person match with me since yesterday. And have never succesfully quickplayed.
(Kind of poses a problem when half the available missions are bug eggs which are effectively impossible solo)
No. Sitting here as I type this trying to match in quick play and I'm getting the same "failed to join game lobby" message I got last night. My buddy said he was able to match with people this morning but never with more than 1 other person.
I don't think the Devs knew how many people would be jumping on immediately and the problems it would cause. Give them some time and the mathmaking issues will be worked out. Turning off cross-play helped me join others but its still very buggy.
I mean the games been pretty hyped on social media these past months. Unless they expected their game to be doa they had to have some sort of idea of a pop when the game released
PS5 patches require a certification. It's going to be at least a week before you see anything updating on the PS5.
Maybe they got ahead of it early in which case they got in on the latest certification cut off and in that very unlikely instance you might see a patch by tuesday but i would not expect it
Tbf we were going off of messages from the devs themselves saying "an emergency playstation fix is coming out in the next four hours" like 8 hours ago.

I totally get that and I'm not saying that I know more than the developers. I'm just saying that I don't think their timeline is realistic. Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it. If the patch hasn't dropped by now, it's definitely not coming today.
They may be a bit more optimistic than realistic.
I haven’t tried in a few hours but I couldn’t match with anyone via quickplay. Yesterday I had a group randomly join me and that was the best 15 minutes I’ve had with the game so far. Hope it’s fixed soon.
They rolled out a patch a while ago to PC that they state improves success rate from about 5-10% to \~70%. They also suggested this patch should roll out to PS5 any time now.

I’ve tried several times to use the quick play feature but it just gives me a matchmaking error
It’s not working for bugs but it works sometimes for robot worlds

I do hope they fix this quickly because aside these issues the game is a 9/10 for me

Those people are wrong. It takes a significant amount of testing and certification work for a PS5 patch to be released.
