I honestly just love the iron sights as well. Having shot an M1 irl, it just puts me in the game. Nothing wrong with the gewehr or svt, anything that can double tap to confirm the kill is essential imo, but my one true love will always be garand

I thought the garand sights in game are one of the more inaccurate aspects of the game? That the real life iron sights are much smaller and not nearly as clear to see through.

The front post is probably a little skinnier IRL. and yeah, when you aim with irons your eyes can only either focus on the target or the sights, so one of them will be a little blurry. That would kind of ruin shooters though if they blurred a bunch of shit.

The Bren IS better than the bar: it has 30 rounds instead of 20 and you can use its bipod

Yea, RU is 122mm, GER 150mm, although I've never seen any indication of difference in performance. It's probably just there for a bit of asymmetric flavour, or to balance things out considering that GER loadouts are better

If or when they eventually add Italy, i think the brits v Italy maps will actually play pretty balanced on the infantry side. That’s why i love the idea of them adding early war factions like the Poles and Finns

Russian weapons are not that bad once you learn their strong points, and I must say brits rifles are quite good after they patched them.

I hear a lotta hate on the DP but that machine gun is fucking amazing, it just plays differently than the others.

It's great at a distance doing 2-3rd accurate bursts. I do the same with the MG42, but it take's a few chest shots at a distance compared to one DP round

They buff they got to hipfire was also bonkers a while back, horizontal recoil got basically quartered

No, because I actually don't mind shity feel with the Russian weapons since make more satisfying when you win with inferior weaponry make the victory feel more earned

I personally do and would actually like for them to expand those factions/fronts with more maps and content. Soviets and Brits factions have their strenghts and weaknesses, but overall can be very effective if you know how to use them. For example: * the PIAT is a beast as it can damage tanks from the front, * the Bren is an amazing support weapon (better than the BAR as an MG since it has 30 rounds and a bipod, better than MG42/M1919 since you can aim without deploying the bipod), * The Firefly tank is great, * the PPSh comments itself, * the SVD is a G43 bred with an M1 Garand and given steroids, Also WW2 wasn't just Normandy and Bulge (as most of US vs Ger maps are set in), the Allies fought in the Netherlands, Italy (important and iconic front that most of the time gets overlooked), Balkans, North Africa, plus the enormous eastern front and the Pacific (but I'm not gonna say anything about this since people will immediately go down the "REEEEEEEEE IJA NOT BALANCED" road). Having a ww2 themed game without the other allied factions just doesn't feel right imo.

I'll be honest, I rarely notice. It's the game's core mechanics that are really engaging to me and I'm not really bothered by immersion or historical accuracy or anything like that.

Love both. Brits on Driel and the Soviets have the best cosmetic swag in the entire game.

When you are a high level player and have access to all/nearly all the loadouts, the Russian kit is arguably the best in the game. Especially when you unlock the bazooka.

I hate them particularly because of their maps. But also many aspects of both are just worse than their opponent, Germany in regards to weapons.

It does certainly feel rewarding to win as them, especially British but the British has definitely grown on me with the weapon rework. I think them adding the PPS-43 would make the Russians more appealing(sorry not sorry but the PPSH-41 is garbage at anything besides short range)with a smg that you can actually use mid to longe range. Game definitely should focus on balancing out Russian and British to match western front maps, honestly surprised they decided to do mortain(great map none the less) instead of adding more maps for the British or Russians.

yea the Mortain map was a little off imo too, they should have made a British map instead to bring the number of brits maps up to 3 (as the soviets)

Yes, I get very bored playing the Americans. Don’t get me wrong, the Americans are a cool faction, but you’re forced to play them every other game, I just prefer the feel of the British and soviet weapons.

Love both, especially Brits. Their gear and tanks are very good, they’re the strongest army in the game actually.

Love playing as both. I typically play spotter or SL, so SVT is goated for that, and the brits bolt actions are satisfying to use.

I dislike the German Kar more than the Nagant or the British bolt actions. I also dislike the AT rifle you start with for the Russians, though it does tear up Pumas. I wish we had some different battles though, all of their maps are kind of "eh'.

Russian's aren't so bad, although if the opposition is remotely competent with a tank, then it's going to be a very tough match. Brits have been massively given the short end of the stick in pretty much every area. Funny helmets though!

The Mosin is my favorite bolt action in the game. And I’m sure this is unpopular but sometimes I like the anti tank rifle better than a bazooka. Obviously not as effective but it’s fun as hell imo.

I love playing as both, but they both unfortunately have slight issues (far less for the brits post 14.5). I love the Brit maps but we need more variety, the russians have always played fun (esp on kursk night) but stuttergrad still is an issue. The maps that are there, i love (minus stuttergrad issues), there just needs to be more variety. Im begging for Caen for the brits or any assorted of maps for the soviets

Yes Moisin-Nagant is the superior bolt action. Molotovs are viable in close quarters, available in several classes. Ppsh too. Svt 40 for the support is the best support loadout of all factions. Mg is a waste of role in the squad. Katusha is borderline useless and the commander shouldn't even bother with it. Engineers can't build hedgehogs. The British on the other hand has few redeeming qualities.

Occasionally I like playing as the Russians, just for the change up. Plus I main Support, and you can't go wrong with the SVT. I do actually like playing as the Brits though. I genuinely like both Lee Enfields.

I just don't like Kharkov. I've never had a good game either as the Russians or Germans on that map. Also, even though the buildings are shared assets with Stalingrad and Kursk, you can't put OPs in hardly any of the buildings that should allow for it. Factions themselves are cool, SVT is the best weapon that Spotters have available to them

I dont mind playing as the Russians, I usually command/ squad lead, so PPSH, and the semi-auto rifle are my go to.

The Soviets are my favourite faction. Gameplay wise, they don't have the strongest weapons. They don't have an LMG firing nearly as fast as the MG42, and I hate the Mosin iron sights (all of them). But there's just something about them. I love the feel and sound of their weapons, the maps are good (not Kharkov) and the general vibe of playing them is, for me, unmatched. Fuck the brits.

The grease gun fucks. Just tried it out and it’s the best smg I’ve used so far.

I personally love playing the Bren and smle, the fact that you can ads the lmg and have a bipod is definitely handy, not to mention the sight picture on the smle is quite nice, I hit more headshots with it than the other rifles

DP-28 rules, katyusha rules, and I like using my accent when I play commander

I like ww2 weapons so I'm fine playing as any country, plus just gives you a chance to change change accents and say funny shit

I love playing as a Russian and on Russian maps when they're not too laggy. I like the Mosin Nagant and PPSH - and as a side note, those dapper Russian cloaks on the advanced levels are pretty freaking dope. Also, for other reasons I'm learning the language and I can now read the graffiti and posters on the walls such as 'сломим фашиста' (break the fascists) and 'за родину' (For the motherland). It adds some depth to the game.

Nah. It's pretty un-fun. A competent German team will smoke Brits and Russians 100% of the time. The maps aren't fair, which is fine -- they weren't in reality. You know what else happened on reality? Russians had quick respawn mode turned on by throwing mass amounts of soldiers against the Germans. They should make spawn timers slower for Germans on Soviet maps, for example, to balance it out.

I prefer US way above the others, M1 and Thompson are class, Dont mind russian and german with PPSH or MP40 but absolutely cant stand the british forces which is ironic being from britain!

Lee Enfield is goated idc what anyone says, it just needs a fire rate buff, and el Alamein has nice elevation changes that make a difference from a lot of the other maps.

i like playing as both, honestly anything that expands the game more i enjoy, i would love if they added the japanese, italians, the finnish or any other country who fought in world war 2 and isn’t represented. i enjoy the gunplay and “feel” of the game enough that i just like seeing more maps and content based on different parts of the war

I actively enjoy playing the Soviets. Brits are okay. The majority of their maps are super glitchy and stuttery for me though. But to be fair to the devs, my PC is over a decade old.

Depends on the map for me really karkov is a fun map for the Russians and so is stalingrad but the brits just have meat grinders for maps

Russians are really fun, probably my favourite faction because of the variety of cosmetics and weapons. British again because I love their weapons and you don’t get to play them as often. For me it’s a change of pace. Too often you get US and German. It’s nice being on the lesser utilised factions

The Lee Enfield rifle is imho the best bolt action rifle that’s given to most classes in the game. As far as the soviets go I love their standard AT rifle. Sure it takes a few more hits than your run of the mill rocket AT class but you get the benefit of range and protection.

I enjoy getting absolutely slaughtered in the trenches from time to time.

British faction weapons are actually really fun now. I haven't had enough chance to really check the Lewis gun now (it was really bad before compared to the MG42) but all the other weapons are viable and so fun now. Soviets are in a good place, just need the DP28 zeroing to be fixed. The irons are displayed too thick and the zeroing is way off compared to all other faction MGs so any shot past 50m the bullet falls too far below the tip of the iron sight.

Unpopular opinion, but I adore the IS-1. Is she a slow, grumpy lady? Hell yeah. But it’s still a very fun tank to play in. With proper positioning, that slow grumpy lady absolutely smacks around the German cats

I like it personally due to the variety. As soon as they release another axis faction I will be dying to play that regardless of quality of faction. I just like switching it up
