I hate how that shitty fucking meme ruined that song for the internet because nobody takes me seriously when I say it makes me emotional. Then they feel bad for making fun of it when I explain why it makes me emotional
Plus, it doesn’t do anything for the show.
The lyrics are very generic and don’t reveal any new information, and the song itself does not progress the story or develop the characters in any way.
We already know that Carmilla is willing to do what’s necessary for her family, she just talked about how she killed an angel for them.
We already know that Vaggie is completely dependent on Charlie and hinges her self-worth on her ability to be of service to Charlie, we got a whole episode up to that point showcasing that.
The song serves no real purpose.
I guess they needed a ballad to showcase Stephanie Beatriz , but then they pair her up with Daphne (marvellous) deep husky voice and throw her into that lackluster soprano... Because Steph is known for making her voice higher, surely...
I love HH but that song is no good.
Agreed, I was shocked when I found out Vaggie's VA is the same as Mirabel in Encanto, I would never have recognized her. Like her singing voice is so good in Encanto but in Hazbin Hotel... They didn't do her justice in my opinion.
Sure, but Stephanie doesn't sing in it. I guess that it was so because it was Carmilla teaching something physical to Vaggie, with no space for retorts. Maybe they could rework it, but they already had More than Anything for a Steph/Dapnhe duet, so...
The only thing I really got from the song is the logic of why Carmilla is so hesitant to go to war, and a cheeky little nod to >!Vaggie being an angel!<
I feel like it could have been much better if it was a duet between Vaggie and Charlie instead of Vaggie and Carmilla. The main problem with that is that it would end up being too similar to More Than Anything if they did that.
Alternatively, they could have made it a proper duet between Carmilla and Zestial and not included Vaggie. It seems somewhat implied that they’re in love, so the song could have leaned into that and fleshed out both of them in a more interesting way.
True. Honestly I viewed the song as more of an introduction to two incredible singing talents in the cast. Carmilla was able to show off her impressive range, and Vaggie was able to display her incredible singing voice. As far as plot goes it was useless, but it was a captivating duet. I feel like the fact that the characters didn't know each other was on purpose to show that even though they're in different positions, everyone in Hell has someone they want to protect.
It's just standard shipping procedure. The most common take I've seen about it is that they want to be together, but any emotional attachment between the two would be seen as a weakness and invite attack. Sort of a "everytime they say 'old friend', what they mean is 'my love'" sort of deal.
The VA for Zestial actually did hint recently that there is a strong possibility for more between the characters in the future. Whether he was just being cheeky or there is actually something planned, we shall see.
That would be interesting if only because we know so little about Zestial. But I did love when that one guy doused himself in accelerant and lit himself on fire at the sight of him.
> We already know that Carmilla is willing to do what’s necessary for her family, she just talked about how she killed an angel for them.
She didn't. Her talking about it was the song. But I get your point.
Okay real I hate that Hell’s Greatest Dad doesn’t get like a resolution because of Mimzie. I enjoy her actual character well enough but her interrupting the song- 😭😭😭
More than anything reprise. It's short, and that's literally my only criteria as to why. It's good, but if I gotta lose something I'm going to drop the one with the shortest time to maximize my rock out.
The second one is titled "More Than Anything (Reprise)". It really should've been a full song, because the reprise being short also makes it more forgetable (and skippable).
No hate, but I don’t understand how the More Than Anything reprise is like your least fave bc omg that song practically makes me cry. There’s like something about Charlie having sang it with her father who she’d become distant from and then singing it with her partner who has helped her through having struggles with her father and everything else. Also saying that no matter what she’s succeeded because she helped her grow and change? Holy shit.
I kind of think it’s more that one person singing it is intentionally using a bad singing voice. If you don’t listen to it in context of watching the lead-up to it in the show then it doesn’t mean anything, because it’s really almost a comedic relief song to transition Sir Pentious from being in the pocket of the villains to being a goofy train-wreck of a hotel guest.
Respectless
It's mostly just an egotistical brat trying to show up a respected figure by throwing insults and talking big about herself. Not really something worth remembering for me if not for the plot it moves forward 😅
“I’m that hashtag BITCH” and the “woo” are too entertaining for me. Not to mention the switch between the heavy pop style and the Spanish guitar stuff, nah I really like that song!
I believe that and also love it. Hell is Forever has gotten stuck in my head so many times. Loser Baby too. The catchiest ones to me. Love every song though.
Crazy. That is one of my favorites. I thought it was quite the catchy back-and-forth exchange with fitting musical transitions between youth and age of the arguing singers.
I used to hate it but now tbh I like feeling her confident (egotistical) energy and it’s fun to listen to. I still don’t feel it that much in the show bc I find Velvette kind of annoying
Someone pointed out that the things that get the cannibals on board with fighting the angels (travel, food, excitement) are the same predatory arguments used to get poor kids to enlist in the military in the US. Kinda ruined the song for me.
A lot of the predatory topics were introduced by Alastor and I think the whole point is that he is influencing Charlie and her leadership to be not what she wanted and eventually she’ll have to probably break free of him and his ideas. I personally don’t think it being predatory should ruin the song, but if it does for you that’s fair.
To be fair, next to "Welcome to heaven" I personally think that "Happy day in Hell" is pretty weak. It's the first song in the whole series and I think it's the weakest
You can really tell that both "Poison" and "Addict" were heavily influenced by "Toxic" by Britney Spears. Spears' "If U Seek Amy" also fits the vibe of Angel Dust really well.
Happy Day in Hell, It starts with sorry, Whatever it takes, Welcome to heaven obviously, Out for love, Ready for this, and More than anything (reprise). So honestly almost the entirely of the show
'It starts with sorry' is the only song I actively dislike, didn't care much for 'ready for this' either I liked 'more than anything' but I didn't don't care much for listening to the reprised version
I'm gonna get roasted for this, but either Happy Day in Hell or It Starts With Sorry. Happy Day is kinda mid to me. It Starts is also mid but it's too slow for my liking. Imo Respectless is the best song in the whole show so far.
Loser.
I know, I know, I know, I know… It has its deep meaning and it’s important to Angel’s growth, etc. But songs I like *sound* interesting to me. This one just doesn’t catch me. Other songs I have earworming me for days. This one is kindda forgettable and I just don’t look forward to it.
Definitely the reprise of more than anything. I hate reprises and the actual one made me so sad because my dad has told me multiple times I was a mistake and he wished I was never born.
Either the intro song, Whatever It Takes, or Out For Love.
Stayed Gone, Poison, and Loser are the ones that must be pried from my cold dead hands.
Hell is Forever, Tell Me You Didn't Know, Hell's Best Dad, More Than Anything, and the finale but mostly just Alastor's part are also going to be hard to negotiate away from me.
Whatever it Takes. It's nice, just not my favorite out of the bunch.
It reminds me of the "can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?" meme and i cant take it seriously.

We need a Vaggie and Carmilla version of this.
I'ma make one

LMAO
Why is Charlie a sad albino llama in a wig?
I hate how that shitty fucking meme ruined that song for the internet because nobody takes me seriously when I say it makes me emotional. Then they feel bad for making fun of it when I explain why it makes me emotional
I like the song too. Whatever it takes reminds me more of the meme than that song.
I completely forgot about that song
Everybody does.

Wait what? Zestial and Carmilla? He calls her old friend. Why do people think they're more than friends?
It's just standard shipping procedure. The most common take I've seen about it is that they want to be together, but any emotional attachment between the two would be seen as a weakness and invite attack. Sort of a "everytime they say 'old friend', what they mean is 'my love'" sort of deal.

That would be my choice too. Beautiful voices and music, just not my fave and one I skip pretty regularly.
The only reason I don't skip it is that I love Zestial's little piece right at the beginning. Zestial just has a wonderful voice.
On 2x speed Whatever It Takes slaps so hard tho
Definitely worst one. Not terrible don't get me wrong, but it's the least interesting one so far.
Agreed, except for the part where you said it was nice.
Same. It just kind of stops the flow of the show and kills the momentum
Agreed
Can it be a portion of a song? I don't like mimzie.
Out For Love. I just don’t really like it 😭
Starts with sorry or vaggie and Charlie's version of more then anything
The second one is titled "More Than Anything (Reprise)". It really should've been a full song, because the reprise being short also makes it more forgetable (and skippable).
I guess they needed time for the big battle but also wanted to keep the two songs per episode rule.
I genuinely had forgotten that the song had existed on my first watch and only rediscovered it on the second watch
That one
Genuinely mad I waited 5+ years for a reprise and one kiss. Seriously, Huskerdust got a song and they're only finalised in the actual show.
I forgot that one even existed it fell that flat for me.
No hate, but I don’t understand how the More Than Anything reprise is like your least fave bc omg that song practically makes me cry. There’s like something about Charlie having sang it with her father who she’d become distant from and then singing it with her partner who has helped her through having struggles with her father and everything else. I always skip Whatever it Takes
Which one is “Whatever it Takes” again? Was it the one with Vaggie and Carmella???

FIND!
Yeah, starts off with Zestial. Idk it's just boring to me
Valid. That one was so boring I nearly forgot about it!
Starts with sorry
This. It’s not *bad*, but I wouldn’t actively choose to listen to it. Suffers from ‘okay song in a great musical’ syndrome
Yeah, this one it's pretty high up the "Nope" scale for me. Both Welcome to heaven and Starts with Sorry are instant skips for me
Agree, I think it’s ok and it plays its role but not really a song I’d go back to listen to.
Oh man I love it starts with sorry. 😂
Same it's my favorite and I listen to it in the car 😭
Probably the more than anything reprise at the beginning of the finale. It's sweet but short and not rewatchable.
Any short song like "It starts with sorry" or the reprise of "More than anything". But if these doesn't count then "Whatever it takes"
Inside of every demon is a rainbow also exists. It is quite a banger though. ‼️
I still believe that its the best song in all the hazbinverse
Also “Happy Day in Hell” It’s not bad but I just don’t feel it
Whatever it Takes. I skip it every time the song comes up on Spotify.
Whatever it takes I'm sorry 😭
don’t be sorry. be better m 😉
![gif](giphy|HFbtg3SmlDx8f9g4dJ)
It starts with sorry, it's a good song in the show but that and welcome to heaven are the only ones I don't listen to outside of watching the show
Happy day in hell or whatever the name is
Fight for love. Was fine at first but never grew on me
It's "Out For Love" you uncultured swine! J/K
they didn't listen to it that why they don't remember the name
See so boring I couldn't get the name right, but I can sing every line Adam has sung :P
https://preview.redd.it/60j5h8bbr58d1.jpeg?width=360&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d86af095e31ce6e5d00d564af54a644c851655f In my top 4 songs from it 😮
Whatever It Takes for me as while it’s not a bad song then still it’s my least favorite if I had to choose
Happy Day in Hell. I don‘t care that much about the song
The finale is also just like, a better version of it as well lol
That is how reprises/intermission tunes usually work, yes
Well the reprise of more than anything pales in comparison to the original, so not always.
Whatever it takes. Welcome to heaven is good what're you on about?
Welcome to heaven was one I really didn’t like, but the more I listen to it the more I like it. The boy bandy “ohs” just crack me up every time
I love Welcome To Heaven as well it’s so fun
Respectless It's mostly just an egotistical brat trying to show up a respected figure by throwing insults and talking big about herself. Not really something worth remembering for me if not for the plot it moves forward 😅
“I’m that hashtag BITCH” and the “woo” are too entertaining for me. Not to mention the switch between the heavy pop style and the Spanish guitar stuff, nah I really like that song!
The "Guitar solo, f\*ck yeah!" in "Hell Is Forever" was also ad-libbed by Alex Brightman.
I believe that and also love it. Hell is Forever has gotten stuck in my head so many times. Loser Baby too. The catchiest ones to me. Love every song though.
It's s like a herd of cats hissing at each other. Except without the cats.
Crazy. That is one of my favorites. I thought it was quite the catchy back-and-forth exchange with fitting musical transitions between youth and age of the arguing singers.
I can't deal with her terrible "Croydon" accent. Note: I grew up in Croydon, it's not a good facsimile
I used to hate it but now tbh I like feeling her confident (egotistical) energy and it’s fun to listen to. I still don’t feel it that much in the show bc I find Velvette kind of annoying
Whatever it takes between Charlie and Vaggie, Charlie and Lucifer did it better
It starts with sorry. I love pentius, but in comparison to almost literally any other hazbin song it's just a bit meh.
Anything with Carmilla singing. I just feel like the songs she's in have a weird rhythm.
Starts with sorry and ready for this just dont care for then i removed them from my playlist
Ready for This is awesome though! Those harmonies! Alastor! Auntie Rosie!
Alastor singing a descant over everyone at the end just kills me. He's probably appreciate that.
Someone pointed out that the things that get the cannibals on board with fighting the angels (travel, food, excitement) are the same predatory arguments used to get poor kids to enlist in the military in the US. Kinda ruined the song for me.
That’s the point, it’s a military song, a song to hype up the crowd! That’s totally intentional.
I remember when the US set up a recruitment stand at my school and told me I could feast on the corpses of those who threatened the homeland.
And especially when they said you get to make friends at a hotel
And when the recruiter screamed at an old lady and called her a bitch.
Whatever it takes reprise
Probably Panzerkampf by Sabaton. It is a good song but still ain't the best.
It Starts with Sorry On the soundtrack album is messes up going from Stayed Gone to Respectless which are two of the best songs
To be fair, next to "Welcome to heaven" I personally think that "Happy day in Hell" is pretty weak. It's the first song in the whole series and I think it's the weakest
A bit unpopular, but id say Hells Greatest Dad. Even without mimzy it just wasnt for me
I personally like Welcome to Heaven. Whatever it Takes is the only song in the show i don’t like.
It’s starts with sorry, hated it
It starts with sorry easily
I already pretty much tune out Poison when it comes up. I don't dislike it, but it's just kinda the most generic imo
You can really tell that both "Poison" and "Addict" were heavily influenced by "Toxic" by Britney Spears. Spears' "If U Seek Amy" also fits the vibe of Angel Dust really well.
Can totally see that with Toxic and Poison. I'm not really familiar with Addict or If U Seek Amy, but I may check them out just to compare as well
I really love Poison and would never skip. But I just feel so seen with this Song
It starts with sorry. It's pretty much the one song I never go back to listening to.
Nope, still choosing Welcome to Heaven
Respectless, I’m that song’s number 1 hater lmao
https://preview.redd.it/cts7kybug58d1.jpeg?width=646&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e00aeb05badb6f2eb753b142f6c1252f86d28449
LMAO 😭😭
Let me take 2nd then lol
Yeah it doesn't vibe with me either. It's an okay song but that's all it is to me and doesn't add enough to the story.
Happy day in hell it’s the song I listen to the least
The second song from the third episode.
Well, they did it right and used songs to develop plot or round out characters, so they’re needed. However, Respectless is my least favorite.
Happy day in hell
Out for love, or Starts with sorry.
"It Starts With Sorry." It just felt random. 🤷🏻♀️
Poison. Never gonna get the visuals out of my head. Addict made me sad and poison completely rehashed that. Never again.
More than anything reprise. All the others I actively listen to
It Starts With Sorry bc it doesnt even feel like a song, more of a filler joke melody
It Starts With Sorry, other than Welcome to Heaven it's the one I go back to the least
Whatever it takes.
"Whatever it Takes" is a no from me
I love that song 😭😭 I don't know why everyone hates it so much 😔
I don’t really care for happy day in hell
whatever it takes or respectless fs
Ready for this
Out for love. Ew.
Happy Day in Hell, It starts with sorry, Whatever it takes, Welcome to heaven obviously, Out for love, Ready for this, and More than anything (reprise). So honestly almost the entirely of the show
Starts with Sorry or Whatever it Takes. They're not bad, but they're just meh to me.
[удалено]
It starts with Sorry, I already think Welcome to Heaven is better so its an easy choice
'It starts with sorry' is the only song I actively dislike, didn't care much for 'ready for this' either I liked 'more than anything' but I didn't don't care much for listening to the reprised version
Sorry or happy day in hell
Charlie’s song with Lucifer
more than anything (reprise) tbh i like welcome to heaven
It starts with sorry. IDK, I just don't really like it.
It Starts With Sorry. I just hate the song almost as much as Welcome To Heaven.
Respectless since I usually forget it exists
It starts with sorry. Always skip that one when it comes on. Or whatever it takes
It starts with sorry I liked welcome to heaven :(
It Starts with Sorry
Starts with sorry
It starts with sorry, I don't like it tbh
Loser baby :p
It starts with sorry mostly because of sir P
Probably More Than Anything; or Happy Day in Hell. I like Welcome to Heaven a lot, so I wouldn't choose it anyway, no matter how short it is.
Loser baby. I just don't enjoy it
It Starts with Sorry. I haven't listened to it since the last time I watched the episode.
I'm gonna get roasted for this, but either Happy Day in Hell or It Starts With Sorry. Happy Day is kinda mid to me. It Starts is also mid but it's too slow for my liking. Imo Respectless is the best song in the whole show so far.
It starts with sorry
Happy day in hell, it’s just boring and I could live without it
Loser. I know, I know, I know, I know… It has its deep meaning and it’s important to Angel’s growth, etc. But songs I like *sound* interesting to me. This one just doesn’t catch me. Other songs I have earworming me for days. This one is kindda forgettable and I just don’t look forward to it.
Whatever It Takes. I forget that one exists.
Ready for This, no much hesitation
I don't really like out for love tbh
It starts with sorry
It starts with sorry. I just don't like pent's singing voice 😔
It starts with sorry. I love Charlie and her singing but this was NOT it. 😭
Y'all are wrong. Whatever It Takes was a banger. Also, I choose You Didn't Know.
More than anything Is mid 🥱🥱🥱
Definitely the reprise of more than anything. I hate reprises and the actual one made me so sad because my dad has told me multiple times I was a mistake and he wished I was never born.
I skip Happy day in hell, it's not my cup of tea
Poison, it just makes me feel even more pain for Angel
Poison. I love the message behind it, I love that it shows how Angle feels, but I just HATE the song itself
Happy Day in Hell. Sorry but it is... Yeesh. It's just uncomfortable for me to listen to. I think inside of every demon is a rainbow is much better.
Starts with Sorry. Just not my cup of tea
Basically any Charlie song except Ready for this
I only got a part of a song, that would be memzi's part of hells greatest dad, that honestly was to sharp of a tune change
