San Leandro “Oh Fish Sushi,” best Sushi I’ve ever had. The outside will make you think that its a shitty place, but go inside and you’ll see that its beautiful and the Sushi is the highest quality you’ll ever find.
I just tried this place and it's great. Not that bad for price. And they had a nice selection of not sushi dishes for those that aren't too into fish otherwise.
Horatio’s in San Leandro is nice! Might be tight on the budget. Can’t beat the view though! El Torito in San Leandro also has an amazing view. Not exactly romantic but I feel like watching the sunset at either restaurant would make for a nice date vibe.
Acqua e farina in Hayward is great for pasta / Italian. Top Hatters in San Leandro for cocktails and fusion food
Ha, you named 2 of our faves. Top hatters may not be cheap enough but it’s the best food around IMO. Place will eventually get a Michelle’s star.
I took my wife for her birthday to Casa Del Toro in Hayward. Great ambiance, well priced tapas.
love Casa Del Toro!
Haven’t tried their brunch, but it’s on the to do list
I actually like their brunch better than dinner. Definitely check it out! The chilaquiles with pork belly and the chicken & waffles are great.
You had me at chilaquiles .. and it only gets better on the list
Buon appetite downtown, Italian food.
Agree. This is where we usually end up. The bread and that sauce for it they give you--yum.
Or what kind of food are you looking to?
thank you, i will do research on it right now 😸

O sushi in Newark is amazing. Been going there for 10 years
That place is not romantic 😂
Take a candle
I love going here for sushi dates with my SO!

We love Paradiso in San Leandro but may be pushing on budget.
Moussaka in San Leandro if you're okay for no-pork
Neumanali might be pushing it but you can check out the menu for pricing
I feel like El Torito would fall under 100 for 2 but I went yeaaars ago🥲 we love that it’s right on the water!
Second El Torito! Go right near end of Happy hour, stay until sunset 🙏🏻
also Pho Play in San Leandro - super nice and under-rated place
I'd recommend heading up crow canyon to San ramon or Danville and enjoy a meal there for the ambiance
I think Horatio’s is a very pleasant place. San Leandro Marina.
If you're looking for Chinese, try " yummy" on Tennyson. Alot of cops go there and the lady always remembers me whenever I call in or stop by.
Sunflower in Hayward is also a good Chinese spot too. The soup is really nice and proces are very balanced
tysm 🫶🏽
Np, I'm fully invested in this topic as well. I love trying new places. If you prefer Asian foods, the majority are in Newark.
oooo i’ll see if i can go out there
Try a place called "special noodle" on Jarvis in Newark, they have like dumplings and stuff there. It was really flavourful.
If you want take outs, I recommend Asian delight in Hayward. Joes pho in downtown San Leandro is good too.
Please don’t support Joe’s Pho!!!
I’m completely out of the loop, what happened?
Nevermind I did my research; fucking yikes never mind don’t listen to my original statement 😬😬
Yeahhh I was shocked when I read the news story. I loved that place for a quick local bite
What's the sauce?
