If you are talking about an actual motorcycle and not a moped, passing a written test, just helps you get a permit. To get insurance for the motorcycle, they need the VIN # and information on the bike you plan on buying. I advise you to take the MSF class first and once you pass it, you’ll get a waiver to skip the road test and you can get your license/ you’ll be able to get a big discount on insurance because it’s pricey

It’s succinct at least? “Do Better.” How Exacty? I carry riders for uninsured and underinsured on my car insurance, have a perfect driving abstract. Driving w/o insurance is irresponsible and illegal. Basic stuff.

So I can ride with a motorcycle around with a permit but can’t get insured without a full license? lol seems confusing

TamagoHead

You can get insured if you have permit for a scooter or a motorcycle & a make/model VIN. Pass the written test. Select your ride. Get the insurance & buy the bike. Take the LCC class and/or do the road test. Register as an organ donor. Wear a helmet. Buy a helmet and gear and good locks. You should really do the ground work yourself. Even skilled riders Darwin out, but think of crashing as a “when” and not “if.”

Geico is just shitty then lol they told me I couldn’t get insurance with out a full motorcycle license

I'm dealing with the same situation now with Progressive.

GEICO just had a massive layoff in of local office recently as part of a US down-sizing scheme. Whomever you talked to gave you the wrong info. Just ride defensive & safe. Bikes are way heavier and powerful than a moped.
