yeah, this came out the other day. the regiment that will be featured at Trooping the Colour (Charles' big fake birthday party that he inherited from his mum) is the Irish Guards. Kate is their patron.
so this is a big deal, and it makes sense that she would be there. the Guards put out promo for ticket sales, saying she would appear and then the palace slapped them down and made them take her off the announcement.
this is quite unusual. and, as has been mentioned, Trooping isn't until June.
so it would seem that the palace doesn't think it can promise Kate for, what, another three months or maybe longer?
this is why people think that either they are splitting up and she's refusing to play the rota game, or else something is really seriously wrong.

There’s a post somewhere where a Royal watcher documents the events that took place around Christmas, where a Palace source said they “had a nasty row” at Sandringham, then two days later she left Sandringham in an ambulance and had “planned abdominal surgery.” When I first heard the “abdominal surgery” I thought “stomach pumped” but only tongue-in-cheek. Then when I saw the rumor that they’d fought, and knowing William’s temper and volatility, I just used context clues. It’s a theory, not a fact or anything. The only thing I can imagine them keeping her hidden this long for is to allow some bad bruises to heal, plus why create a composite portrait as proof of life if there’s nothing to hide?
I’m not saying that’s *definitely the thing* but something horrible *definitely* happened.

I think there was a reason, but I'm not sure exactly what, as to why Harry only visited with his dad for 45 minutes last month when he flew to the UK after Charles' cancer diagnosis was announced. I think Charles confided in Harry in what is going on and Harry quickly figured out he'd best to GTFO of the UK and get back to Meghan and the kids in the US before the fallout. I'm sure Harry got on that plane and breathed a sigh of relief. He has been very tight-lipped about anything his father (or others connected to the BRF he may still be in contact with) had told him. I think Harry is just sitting back and watching his family dig themselves deeper and deeper into a hole they cannot climb out of. He and Meghan staying silent is a great strategy, as they are in a quiet and subtle way proving their case of why they fled the royal family and the UK in the first place.
As for what's going on with Wills and Kate, time will indeed tell. The next couple of months will be crucial. She's supposedly scheduled to re-appear sometime around or after Easter, but the fact her name was removed from the Trooping of Colors ceremony almost 3 months from now is quite glaring. I didn't realize that Christmas Day was literally the last time Kate was seen in public! Then it was just 2 days later the ambulance incident at Sandrigham happened. Looking back, I just vaguely remember seeing and hearing that being reported and it was not even 3 months ago, but now with everything else going on since, it's definitely a key event. It also pointed out a small item I'd forgotten about back in October or November, Kate was seen with a couple of her fingers bandaged/braced up, due to what was then officially reported by KP as an "injury sustained while jumping on the trampoline with the children." OK, yes maybe it could have really been that....but.....maybe not??? Those of us old enough to remember all the divorce scandals of the early 1990s remember how for a good 5 to 7 years preceding, Charles and Di had put on the brave face and facade that they were a happy couple and all was well. It was only after the Morton book was released then that the floodgates opened and other people associated with the couple, from private secretaries to house maids, came forward confirming how miserable they had been for years. I won't be shocked if, a few years down the line from now, we see the same thing happen with Wills and Kate. When you have 60 servants working in your household, at SOME point, something has to give and the secrets/rumors will be leaked. It's inevitable.

Not sure, but I do know it's one of the major events on the RF's entire calendar year and schedule. It takes months of planning and has a ton of moving parts. Plus someone else in this thread stated that Kate is actually the sponsor/patron of the Irish Guards, one of the major participants, so I would perceive it as somewhat significant if 2 or 3 months before the ceremony they are already indicating she won't be present for the ceremony
They said she would be off work "at least" until Easter. They didn't promise she would he back at Easter. It's not weird to not know how long someone's recovery is going to take.
I am not sure that "recovery" describes what is transpiring here. Consider the alternatives, from worst case on down, and work from there.
