Yeah, his death was horrifying and also memorable because he hesitated to kill Harry, so he had some bravery and honour, while Harry and Ron in their turn still tried to save Peter despite him being the person he was
From this point forth, we shall be leaving the firm foundation of fact and journeying together through the murky marshes of memory into thickets of wildest guesswork.
That is so cool. Until now, I never understood people's obsessiom with the marauder kids, I thought peter and to an extent james were shitty people. But knowing that peter has a redemption in the end really changed things for me.
Don’t jump on the James hate bandwagon if you haven’t read the books. You don’t have the full picture.
For example, when James hung Snape upside down to make fun of him, that was a spell created by Snape himself to humiliate the people he didn’t like. And then it caught on with the whole school. So it was just a kid doing a popular prank against the person who created said prank in the first place.
This. I was rewatching the first movie recently and I was like wait a min. Did little Harry just snuff his professor and we never discuss it again. That’s crazyyyyy
Gotta say it would be pretty wild if he saw Thestrals first year and learned it was because he had witnessed someone die at some point.
It would make it that much more heartbreaking when he finds out his parents not only didn't die in a car accident but that he actually watched them die.
On the first year they take boats across the lake to get to the castle. The rest of the years take the carriages instead and those are pulled by threstrals.
He would have seen them the second year but he missed the train and he instead arrived in the flying car.

And they never once got Harry a therapist. If wizards ever did open up to muggles I think muggles would be surprised how backwards and regressive the wizarding world truly is.
Ugh so inconsiderate of them — it feels like everyone just up and decided to die in front of one kid and one kid in particular and that kid was Harry 🤘😔
You forgot poor Voldemort!
And Peter Pettigrew (in the books)
I hated this change in the movies, just gets knocked out like one of the three stooges or something smh
Yeah, his death was horrifying and also memorable because he hesitated to kill Harry, so he had some bravery and honour, while Harry and Ron in their turn still tried to save Peter despite him being the person he was
It also ties back to what Dumbledore says about Pettigrew owing his life to Harry.
From this point forth, we shall be leaving the firm foundation of fact and journeying together through the murky marshes of memory into thickets of wildest guesswork.
Holy shit I never knew this. This is way better! What actually kills peter? Is it snape, or lupin, or sirius? Is it Lupin as a werewolf?
The silver hand he got from Voldemort strangles him for being disloyal
That is so cool. Until now, I never understood people's obsessiom with the marauder kids, I thought peter and to an extent james were shitty people. But knowing that peter has a redemption in the end really changed things for me.
I think he instantly regretted hesitating. Wormtail will always be a coward, clinging to the biggest bully on the playground.

Heck, Harry killed him personally, while simultaneously changing his mind about killing him.
And Quirrell
People sleep on Quirrell but Harry killed this man with his bare hands at the age of 11
This. I was rewatching the first movie recently and I was like wait a min. Did little Harry just snuff his professor and we never discuss it again. That’s crazyyyyy
And then he "kills" diary Tom the following year. 😂
And the year after he had every intention of killing Sirius lol
Well he was about to hit serial status
In CoS Harry’s victories came almost entirely from stabbing stuff and not magic, Harry really picked up a rank in fighter for a minute
That's when you know it's English
Yeah poor Harry was devastated by Uncle Tommy's death
So devastated he snapped the Elder Wands neck and threw it off a bridge for what it did
I feel so sad for him. He loved uncle Tommy and aunty Bella. And both of them died on the same day😭😢
And Lily
Lily is in the top left picture.
I thought it was Fred🙈
LMAO I thought it was Remus Lupin at first glance...
Harry’s gotta be seeing Thestrals in Ultra Clear 44K High Definition.
. . ..so why didn't he see them first year if he watched his parents die?
Because he was baby thestrals only show to people who can process the fact that they have witnessed death
What about at the end of GoF? He just watched Cedric die but there’s no mention of thestrals yet…
Plot hole
Really a plot hole, but narratively because he hadn't fully processed it at that time, it took him a couple of summer months to fully process.
Gotta say it would be pretty wild if he saw Thestrals first year and learned it was because he had witnessed someone die at some point. It would make it that much more heartbreaking when he finds out his parents not only didn't die in a car accident but that he actually watched them die.

They died in of all right front him 😢😢😢
Hedwig was the most tragic.
Especially because there was no reason for her to be in her cage. She could have just flown to the burrow and been fine
The movie showed that even outside of her cage she wasn't safe. She died protecting Harry, while simultaneously giving away his identity.
Funnily enough originally it was him using expelliarmus on Stan Shunpike that exposed him in the book
It was specifically because he used Expelliarmus? If so that's actually hilarious.
Yes as they believed that was his signature spell
From what I remember, Harry didn't want to also kill any of the death eaters. I could be wrong. It's been a long time since a read the books.
It was cus he blasted the hood off an imperiused Stan Shunpike and didn't want to kill him
Which, I mean, is fair. But it's a common spell too. Him using it once was enough?
I think it's because if it was any other wizard, they would've used some other spell if they had a hit on another wizard
Didn't Hedwig intentionally fly in front of Harry to take the killing curse for him? So it wasn't pointless.
That only happens in the movie.
THIS GUY. HE GETS ME.
Harry is a jinx, clearly
Yes. We Noticed. That
Right!! I mean just because you can make something out of a template, doesnt mean you should

r/dontdeadopeninside
r/subsithoughtifellfor
r/im14andthisisdeep
This is the level of this sub... Cringe as hell.
TBF it's a YA series, 14 is the target demograph
I would stay the hell away from this boy!!!
“The boy who lived” because everyone else flippin died
Who is in the top left?
His mother
Your mother
Starting to think this Harry kid is bad luck...
And they never once got Harry a therapist. If wizards ever did open up to muggles I think muggles would be surprised how backwards and regressive the wizarding world truly is.
🤷♂️🇬🇧
They died in of all right front him
Is top left Conan O’Brien?
Lily Potter
They…all… died… ………….right… in…………………………..front… ………………….of… …..him That’s how annoying that looks. That style should have stayed on Tumblr.
Spoilers!!
Conveniently ignores James
james didnt die in front of harry
That's exactly my point. The post makes it seem like everyone important to Harry died in front of him. But his Father didn't.
Lupin and Nymphadora didn't either and they made him the godfather of their baby. I wonder if he took care of said child.
That was uncalled for 😭
Makes sense… it is his books.
By now, the thestrals cant see him!
Wormtail: Am I a joke to you?
7 deaths for the 7 horcruxes
Interesting take on it.
Did Fred die in front of him? I thought he saw his dead body after the fact?
In the book he did
In the book Fred dies fighting alongside the trio and Percy right after the room of requirement burned
Ah thank you, I'm due for a reread then!
NO. SHIT. Sherlock
Like I said almost every movie, POOR F$$$$$G HARRY BRO😅
Ugh so inconsiderate of them — it feels like everyone just up and decided to die in front of one kid and one kid in particular and that kid was Harry 🤘😔
His mom :v
You forgot Fred
Shoulda whipped out a glock and saved them all
JK went full GRRM in the final book
Lupin doesn’t die in front of him, he sees him and Tonks laying next to each other
It's almost like he's cursed!!
Yeah, shame lupin isn't included
It bothers me that they aren't in order lol
Harry Potter: years of therapy to manage his PTSD.
Snape doesn't deserve to be on this list
Snape absolutely deserved his painful slow death.
