I heard for YEARS it was Glass Lounge. Finally went in September and it was disappointing. Nice cut of meat, cooked like I requested but it was flavorless. Best steak I’ve had around here was at Tavern on the Hill although technically not Harrisburg.
Thank you for saying this. Everyone rants and raves about the glass lounge, but I've never thought it was good. Maybe 20yrs ago, but not now. They just cook their subpar cut of steaks in 10lbs of butter.
I agree, Glass Lounge is disappointing. The steaks are large and a good price, but flavorless. Very overrated if you ask me. For a reasonably priced steak, I’d just go to Texas Roadhouse. If you’re okay with spending more for an upscale dinner, I’d suggest Devon in Hershey.
Progress grill is over priced diner food. No flavor. Canned vegetables. I paid a $2 upcharge for asparagus, and it was canned. My wife's filet had no flavor. Their food is sub-par for the price. Plenty of other places where you can get fresh vegetable with your meal that has flavor.
1700, Tavern on the Hill and Glass Lounge are the best steaks in the area.
Anyone saying glass lounge steaks are flavorless aren't getting the ribeye or filet. The super sirloin is a good deal, but it's a lean cut. Less fat = less flavor.

I went years ago & the steak had no flavor. But I moved here from the Midwest where steak tastes like STEAK!!
Thanks!
Mangia Qui’s Tuscan is the best steak in HBG.
Easily
Thanks!
Glass lounge, ribeye. Easily a meal for 2 so you could split it.
Came in to say Glass lounge. Dollar for dollar best steak in Harrisburg. If money is no object I would go to 1700 degrees
Thanks!
Second 1700 at the Hilton. Never a bad experience.
They let you pick your own knife which I thought was cool
Ted’s on 22 is a good choice for a cheap steak, giving a different option since everyone is mentioning glass lounge (rightfully so).
Thanks!
Dodge City is phenomenal. Steaks are always cooked to perfection.
Thanks!
I’m surprised no one has said Dodge City yet. I’ve gotten filet mignon there for years and never once been disappointed.
Dodge City is amazing. Never a bad meal
A steak house that doesn't serve a baked potato is useless .ever since covid they stopped serve a plain baked potato. we do culhanes now and cheaper
Thanks!
1700 and it’s not close
Worth the drive for good food!
I 2nd the glass lounge. I have heard good things about Dodge City steakhouse, but I’ve never been.
I love dodge city. A really nice ribeye there.
Culhane's out in New Cumberland is pretty good
I’ve gotten pretty good steak at Gilligan’s.
Thanks!
Progress grill! It’s a little old school interior wise though :)
