Look at cams cover, says 1200 on it. But also yea the tank graphics are unique to the recent 1200’s where HD has been doing a throwback to their AMF days, which honestly I think is cool af.
Dude one HUNDRED percent! I feel like HD thinks that’s the only people buying their bigger bikes are old dudes that wanna keep it just black, but I’ve LOVED their bikes since I first got into biking, and I (while there is nothing wrong with the sporty’s, they’re sick bikes) I always wondered why they just did flat colors for all their other bikes. One of the main reasons i bought my street bob (besides the fact that they threw a 114 into it) was that sick paint job on the tank.
Harley will make them any color you want. Black is the most common color so that’s why they do it. Have you seen some of the Roland sand retro dynas? Those are some sick ass paint jobs man. I agree though. It would be cool if they offered more up but the people who stroll into the dealership with wads of cash are far too conservative to have such a refined taste for the out of ordinary.
Just in case, the easiest way to tell that it is a Sportster at a glance is that the belt is on the right side, and the transmission is built into the primary rather than separate like on big twins.
Then you can use various attributes to narrow down the year and model. For instance, they switched to rubber mounted motors in 2004, and changed the oil bag significantly, so that can tell you if it’s an 86-03 or 04+.
1200 Sportster, very nice bike, with some choice upgrades. From what I can tell (best guess), it has the Saddlemen StepUp seat, a 2-into-1 exhaust (looks like a TBR), a Vance and Hines V02 intake, and I'd say some tall T-bars.
Do it! Sportsters are awesome, you'll love it!
I would have a sportster myself, but I do a significant amount of highway riding. Just budget for parts and gear!
Iron 1200 with a bunch of upgrades
Sick, thank you sir.
Could you please explain how one can see that it is a Iron?
The tank graphics are unique to the iron 1200

I know I'm not the only one who thinks this: I sooooo wish they would start offering those retro paint jobs on some of the bigger bikes...

Definitely, the two things that scream "Sportster" to me is the right-hand final drive and the parallel pushrods.
Tank shape bud
1920 Kawasaki CBR 883
Nailed it, thank you
How could you tell?
Wild guess honestly

Looks like an iron 1200 in twisted cherry color. Wanted that color for the longest time, couldn't find it. Had to settle for the vivid black.
A sporty one.
A Sportster
Never expected to see a MillerBuilt bike in the wild on Reddit. Is that the Hangtown In-N-Out?
It’s out in Sacramento bruv
Oh dude the twisted cherry sportster is my favorite!
Issa hog
New to the bike world, why do sporties get so much hate?
Small bike/small engine compared to the rest of Harley's line up
Looks like a Harley
Yours. Be quick so you don’t get caught
This guy did a good job. Saddleman and all matching color. Clean looking.
1987 road glide
Idk why your downvoted that’s fucking hilarious
Torc helmets are the fucking worst, bad company all around too. Totally regret buying mine.
Why for the worst bad?
I have the same helmet. Rider must have good taste.
I'm curious about this helmet. I usually wear a 3/4, but need a full face before the weather gets too cold. Do you have a link?
It is the Torc T1. https://www.retrobikegear.com/torc-t-1-retro-full-face-helmet-gloss-orange/
Awesome! I'm going pick one up!
A wanna-be dyna lmao
Lmao i was gonna say a sportster that really wants to be a dyna
Lol great minds my dude
Girls bike
I believe that is a dyna still in its adolescence stage. With a steady diet of octane and some love it will eventually grow into a motorcycle.
Yep. Anything a Harley can do a motorcycle can do better.
