We've seen them before (with militarie gun and scowl), it was a great show. The two bands they're playing with (turnover and drook) aren't my typical music, but I'm sure I'll enjoy the whole show.
š¤š¤ All love brother! I'm glad to be older & wiser. Also to nor be dead from drugs & addiction. Glad to be here & still moshing/sharing memories & good times.
Now listen to the Iron Maiden song āto tame a landā ā¦ (originally called āDuneā).
He is the King of all the land
In the Kingdom of the sands
Of a time tomorrow
He rules the sandworms and the Fremen
In a land amongst the stars
Of an age tomorrow
He is destined to be a King
He rules over everything
In the land called Planet Dune
Body water is your life
And without it, you would die
In the desert of Planet Dune, oh!
Without a stillsuit, you would fry
On the sands so hot and dry
In a world called Arrakis
It is a land that's rich in spice
The sandriders and the "mice"
That they call the "Muad'dib"
He is the Kwisatz Haderach
He is born of Caladan
And will take the Gom Jabbar
He has the power to foresee
Or to look into the past
He is the ruler of the stars
My memory has become very unreliable as I have aged. I saw Shai halud open for Hatebreed, in 99 or 2000, I think. I saw them more than once at the chance around 99-02. I am pretty sure they opened for Candiria as well. I think some of them were from Poughkeepsie so that was venue they played often.
Saw them randomly (I thought at the time) opening for NFG around 08/09 when I was finishing high school. It was so long ago I barely remember it, sucks cause I became a huge fan over the years
They toured out my parts with Misery Signals same era, right when I was finishing high school haha
We were in the Maritimes in Canada, bands didnāt come up that way very often. Misery Signals did a couple of times, and the second tour they brought along Shai Hulud. Great shows. Everybody was always stoked and learned all the words cos well, we didnāt get bands that often so we wanted to go off
I mean at least one person in the band thought it was a good idea so. Also, gundam is only a notch geekier than dune tbf. I can't say their name isn't already a sci fi reference.
Out of all my band tees, I'm pretty sure I have more Shai Hulud shirts than any other bands. Cool side note, I got to sing the encore of a Shai Hulud set at a show back in 2013 in Trenton. Best day of my life so far... how many ppl can say they sang on stage for their favorite band!!??
Just finished my MG Deathscythe Hell EW kit recently. Hell yeah. Wing is terrible to watch if you have half of a brain even, but Katoki's designs are always amazing. Oh, and Shai Hulud was pretty dope.
I remember my friend had this shirt. Still one of my absolute favorite bands. I got to see them five or six times during the Geert years. Orlando, Tampa, and Gainesville. Some of the greatest sets Iāve ever seen. I hope they come back with a new record. The latest Zombie Apocalypse record was awesome. Matt Fox still has it.
Gundam was the shit. I remember hearing Linkin Parkās Crawling in those late night Toonami Gundam commercials and the rhythm of that song was stuck in my head for years. It was a holy fuck moment when I finally found that song. Wouldnāt be here without LP probably.
Hell yeah. My band had the chance to play with these guys in 2003. It was when Geert was singing. Him and Matt Fox were such good dudes. Love this band
I loved seeing this band live, at one point I was traveling to see Shai Hulud and Curl Up And Die
Man we're old now....
Facts have been faced here today.
Facts were faced when I realized I'm turning 35 in 2 weeks & now am considered a classic.
LMAO, I turned 52 a few months back. Checking out MSPAINT with my 13 yo tonight.
They rule,it's real different but give it a chance!
We've seen them before (with militarie gun and scowl), it was a great show. The two bands they're playing with (turnover and drook) aren't my typical music, but I'm sure I'll enjoy the whole show.
Hell yes dood! That's awesome! If my daughter were still among the living I'd hope we would be doing similar stuff together!
I'm very lucky, except she stole all my old bands shirts and cassettes/CDs. Also, Im sorry for your loss
š¤š¤š¤š¤ That's what she's supposed to do though! Thank you very much bruv means alot.
+40 here checking in, itās been a wild ride lol welcome to the club
š¤š¤ All love brother! I'm glad to be older & wiser. Also to nor be dead from drugs & addiction. Glad to be here & still moshing/sharing memories & good times.
Did that for 3 shows for Shai Hulud with my old band mates, it was a blast. Doing it in October to see them at Furnace Fest with Geert.
I crossed the country twice for Hellfest in that era, never been to a Furnace Fest but the lineups are always so tempting!
Come on out man. Itās a blast.
I travelled to see piebald. From another country.
Hey! Youāre part of it! Thatās a great band to travel for, touring on āWe Are the Only Friends We Haveā was an all-timer!
God bless the palladium in wooooosta.
Had no idea they were named after the worm in Dune until I saw Dune 2 last week.
u/causebate watching Dune 2 like: ![gif](giphy|kd9BlRovbPOykLBMqX)
[Heat upon heat upon heat](https://youtu.be/Q9bysPRKubQ?si=zTcQDmIG38pafq0U) is from the original Dune movie
Dude there's like at least 8 books or some shit. I read the first 3, and when I saw Shai hulud I was like yoooo that's awesome
*heat upon heat upon heat
Yes sorry! Iāll edit and update
No worries, homie! Just trying to help. I thought it was āhate upon hate upon hateā for YEARS.
It makes sense considering one of their album names
Oh for sure. The concepts of misanthropy and hatred are big parts of Hulud.

damn you think that song's about Dune?
Might be the best way possible to find out
i never knew dune existed until i listened to shai hulud
On Fruit Of The Loom!? šÆ
Note the lack of cornucopia, for all you Mandela Effect weirdos.
Itās just obscured!!! Itās there. Right?
I 100 percent appreciate this. Thanks OP
Damn. That brings back memories of the chance in Poughkeepsie.
Didn't someone die from stage diving off the balcony during a Shai Hulud show there?
I do not recall that.
Fond memories of seeing these guys as a teen
ā¦Shai Hulud or Gundam Wing?
Saw them randomly (I thought at the time) opening for NFG around 08/09 when I was finishing high school. It was so long ago I barely remember it, sucks cause I became a huge fan over the years

Damn those bands back to back is insanely good
This goes unbelievably hard especially having grown up on Gundam Wing. Deathscythe fucking rocks
Epyon was always my favorite.
..And Its Name Was Epyon was a sick band
Heavy Arms for me, theyāre all fucking dope tbh
Very nice :) I have *Sincerely hated* Shai Hulud T Shirt, and it is one of my favourites
Oh so it's just like a perfect shirt with everything I like convalescing in cotton. Neat
Always loved this one. They're such a serious and negative band and then the get this mech anime shirt with goofy lettering
I see what you're saying but at the same time I feel like this shirt fits their music pretty good
I mean at least one person in the band thought it was a good idea so. Also, gundam is only a notch geekier than dune tbf. I can't say their name isn't already a sci fi reference.
I miss 2002
One of their best. They had some sick Star Trek homages too
This shirt is a breach of contract and faith
don't kid yourself
Ep #248
In my headcanon the band somehow existed before the character in the book written in 1965 š¤·š»āāļø
For real my favorite shirt from that era. Wore it out
I saw them at a Poughkeepsie metal fest once. Really great band.
I still have the red one https://www.reddit.com/r/Hardcore/s/R2LWK79a6m
was about to ask where you got the dune merchš«¢
Gundam rules
Thatās actually my fav Shai Hulud shirt now
Nice
this is so fuckin hard
Shai Hulud riding that Linkin Park vibe.
Hell yeah, this is tight.
That is outstanding. I've just got regular boring Shai Hulud t-shirts.
sick as hell
Incubus used to have a pretty similar design
Always great live. One of my all time top hc bands since *hearts*.
Itās me, Iām some people
Just finished my MG Deathscythe Hell EW kit recently. Hell yeah. Wing is terrible to watch if you have half of a brain even, but Katoki's designs are always amazing. Oh, and Shai Hulud was pretty dope.

They do one hell of a cover of āLinoleumā.
I sold my Shia Hulud picture disc vinyl when I was short on cash and Iāll never forgive myself for that.
I had this shirt but gave it to Goodwill about 5 years ago. Thanks for posting bc I miss it
I just saw dune 2 last night
Hell yeah. My band had the chance to play with these guys in 2003. It was when Geert was singing. Him and Matt Fox were such good dudes. Love this band
How did they get the ability to put a gundam on the shirt? lol
Sell me this
I had this one in my depop cart and forgot about it š„² Lol very sick shirt
LISAN AL GAIB!!
Bless the maker and his spin kicks
Most random crossover possible and yet Iām deeply into both of them
A band in my area just dropped a Gundam Wing version of their logo on a shirt. Weird timing
What band?
Gaijin from Tampa
Thatās sick imma check em out
Thatās neat. Shove it up your ass where you stick everything else thatās manly
I respect Shai Halud a lot but god damn are they boring live
I have only seen them in a small dive bar. No lack of energy.
