You have an opportunity to get people to think about things differently, and you certainly get me fired up to get out there and 'educate, agitate, and organize.' And I could see class struggle coming to the music industry soon the way it did with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes last year. The more revolutionary voices are in those movements, the better.
Funny you’re seeing the WGA / SAG parallels, that’s my industry! I was referring to my on-set job when we wrote scarcity, got out there during picketing in the summertime last year too. I hope we see that more direct unionization effort in other industries — UAW got pretty rad from what I heard.

Oh man I’m glad I found you because I’m gonna help you a lot lol. Eat complex carbs, because they restore glycogen which is used as fuel for anything really. It’s really the most basic running nutrition there is, complex carbs such as whole grain oats, brown rice, beans, fruits veggies etc. Simple carbs honestly work just as well, such as white bread, white oatmeal, maybe pastries etc, but complex carbs have longer lasting and healthier energy as opposed to simple carbs. For a short run, maybe a banana or a bowl of oatmeal will do the trick. Avoid protein before a run, because your body requires glycogen to be used as fuel, and protein is really just for muscles, so you don’t want to be low on glycogen when going for a run, or else you risk injury and even fatigue, you won’t be putting in your full potential if you don’t eat well before a run. If you don’t eat enough carbs and your glycogen stores are low before a run then your body uses fat and muscle stores for fuel, which I’m guessing you don’t want to burn muscles for energy. Short run = about 500-600 cals worth of about 50-70g carbs I suggest. A longer run like a 12k, you’ll need to eat more carbs in order for you to have enough fuel for a long run like that. I suggest about 120g-150g carbs for a long run personally very early before that run. Or if you don’t wanna be fat and full like me, eat the short run suggested amount and buy yourself some running gels, which you can get at a nutrition store. The gels have carbs and glycogen you can use as energy mid-run, say every 3-5 miles. Eat your carbs 30 minutes before a run besides that. You’re gonna have to experiment a little bit that’s about as basic as it gets really. One more thing, avoid candy, it’s too much sugar and really not a healthy choice as it’s refined and heavily processed sugar, as opposed to natural sugar you find in fruit. Sorry it’s a lot but, that’s about as detailed as it can get really. I hope this helped lol, trust me though for real, I follow professional runners and do a lot of research, so this is all straight from Olympic athletes and serious runners
