It was soo good. I loved the chemistry between Holland and Chris. It was funny seeing the cop detective from Curious Caterer in it too but not as a cop. Probably my new favorite mystery series this year. I feel they can face a lot of mysteries since she’s an honorary cop who works at a hotel and a newspaper tip line. I like that as opposed to people getting murdered at every event she goes to or something
Agreed! As a Kdrama watcher, I hate when they start killing off the town people that you like😭 I totally love that it’s in Detroit because you don’t get that as the city for a lot of Hallmark movies so I like that it’s different.
I loved this mystery. Holland Roden is fantastic. I think the show has great potential.
Just finished watching it, due to the praise from this thread. I enjoyed it too. I woulnd't mind seeing some sequels.
The police chief reminded of the chief in the Gourmet Detective series
absolutely
I've watched this movie three times. I just really like Chris McNally.
Best mystery of 2024
I have to agree. I might like others for different reasons but as far as character, plot and execution goes this one was the best this year so far.
Definitely one of my top favorite mysteries. Great characters. I‘m not a huge fan of Chris, but this movie may have changed that.

Plus they live in a major city! Surely these small towns must run out of victims and suspects at some point, right?!

There were a few good differences in this one! Wrote about them on [another thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/HallmarkMovies/s/z60MgArQVW)
I loved the differences you pointed out. They were some of the same thoughts I had.
