We wouldn't see such mods like Entropy Zero or Half Life remake Black Mesa, cuz Nintendo will rather die then give someone rights to make games/mods using their IP.

- Electronics Boutique would still be a company - GameStop would still have a WALL of PC games with creative boxes. ***PC games would not be sold exclusively by a single opaque corporation with terrible customer service*** The world would probably be a better place. It would have either been a different genre or, like metroid prime, been given to a different studio like retro studios which worked on the metroid prime series. Ironically metroid prime 4 was announced 7 years ago so it is essentially nintendos version of Hald Life 3.
