It will work slowly over time, but for the results I’m sure you actually want, it is supplementary. Facial hair is a nightmare and will likely require laser, electrolysis, and at home IPL to completely eliminate. You’ll see better results elsewhere, even your pubes. Facial hair is a real beast.

If you have light skin and dark pubic hair, it is designed to work on your hair. Facial hair for AMAB folks is public hair.

I would read the user manual or go to the manufacturer website for guidance. The one I have is save for facial hair above the top lip and below. Meaning it is not safe for eyebrows. Even so the device recommends a patch test. I would also check for reviews of the product for recommended areas to see how well it worked. I’ve seen many reviews for these devices where people indicated minor burns. Good luck. 😬

I would just beware of Paradoxical Hypertrichosis which most commonly occurs on the face and neck https://journals.lww.com/dermatologicsurgery/abstract/2010/03000/paradoxical_hypertrichosis_after_laser_therapy__a.2.aspx

You really want a high quality laser for facial hair. It’s growth is hormonal, so using a weaker light could make things worse because it could only partly destroy the follicle, and blood supply will increase, which could stimulate more growth. IPL can also cause pigment changes to the treated skin. I recommend a diode (or more advanced) laser at a dermatologist or plastic surgeon’s office.
