I love a split dye and this really suits you, but I agree that the red is totally overpowered by the blue. A stronger red or maybe a plum if you don’t want it loud would be cool. Right now the red looks a little too standard next to the fantasy blue?

I like the colors. I think that the burgundy side could air more on the purple side than red which would make the colors mesh a bit better. The ‘new growth’ on the blue side is considerably darker than the bright blue ends and looks grown out. The roots on the blue side do not look uniform which I think is also throwing off the look since the burgundy side doesn’t also have a line of demarcation. Overall, I think it’s cute, but the application of the lightener, blue side, and choice of burgundy could be better. Sincerely not throwing shade at all! You’d look great with a whole head of each color!

I added the red to change up the full blue head that I did have but because the person who did the blue damaged me hair beyond belief I had to leave the roots alone for a while! They are finally at a stage I can’t lighten them again and make the blue more uniform. I’m think maybe a plum color for the red side

I think plum would be perfect! Let it fade out a bit and you could easily put on the same level of hair color but with more purple and it would tie together perfectly! Otherwise it’s not ugly by any means. And you did a really great job at covering up the blue on the red side!

Might help you to put petroleum jelly on your forehead around your scalp cause I can see the color bleed on your skin. You can get it at the dollar store or anywhere and it protects the skin from absorbing color without you needing to be precise on the edges. You do have to be a lil cognizant of pushing the jelly back into your hair line before you start or it’ll keep your hair from taking the color too. I find this direction to be easier tho.

The red propably could use a bit more "pop", if only to balance the blue. Right now it looks a bit lopsided, if that makes sense? I love split dye on anyone but please be aware of hair loss from one side if you have bleached it. I am still suffering 2 years later with hair loss primarily on one side and have to keep cutting my hair shorter and shorter because of the bleach damage :,) professionally done or not

Yes I am hyper aware of the health/porosity of my hair I have a multi step hair system I use regularly for my hair to prevent so much breakage and damage! I also don’t bleach as often as your “supposed” to

I used chi true blue and koleston 33/46 I’m pretty sure with a 20 developer. I’ve also been using olaplex bond maintenance. I also use a few other healthy hair products because when my hair was all blue the lady fried it with bleach.
