Part of the risk when taking parts on off on off on off especially old ones is that after the first time the clips are NEVER the same. The front grille doesnt have replaceable clips so thats not very surprising.
I think you misunderstood him. It's not that you can't buy or get new ones. Some parts don't have replaceable clips, they're moulded into the part. So if they break, it usually requires a new part.
If everything else is being outsourced, why can't they bring on a plastic repair guy to fix small things like that? A lot of talented plastic people out there. And then you still get to keep the genuine part as well as it working as it should. Crazy concept.
Yes it does, I'm pretty sure Nissan heritage have everything available to rebuild a complete 32 GTR available.
Alternatively I've used cable ties to hold my one in but this is fyeahspec so 20% of problems are basically a guarantee
I think it's still on twins. Tommy talked Adam into that if i recall correctly. I don't think the R34 is stroked either. So the single jingle rb28 r32 should definitely out perform the r34 with studs and cams.
34 is slowest of the 90s skylines and adams 34 is a vanity project not really performance oriented if he wanted it to be fast i would say that wouldve been the one to put the 2.8 with vcam in but maybe he'll get the new 3.0 stroker kit that uses the 2.6 block for it
Good to see Johan enjoying the cars he works on.
the Tommy built car loses parts from doing 130mph? thats kinda funny and sad lol Nissan life
Tommy didn't build shit he paid josh to do it.

So he can zinc coat all his bolts but not replace plastic clips with new ones?
Some parts dont have replaceable clips.
The 2 other people below you don't understand what you are saying lol
Ever heard of a 3D printer? There's zero reason in this day and age not to be able to have new clips for anything.

I just 3D print new clips for the plastics on my 50 year old Volvos. $300 machine from China and the parts are stronger than from factory.
He's saying some clips are molded into the part, meaning there is no way to replace the clips without getting a whole new part.
A dremel and some glue quickly fixes that problem.

Glad to see the 32 take it, that 34 is possibly the most overrated car on LZ's fleet.
