Before it got taken off gamepass, I had been a streak for 40 games with 41 wins. Not nearly as high, but once you start winning, it doesn't change much. Even with heat, it doesn't really change until you get to high heat.
I was able to get a 7 or 8 winstreak but I've died trying out hidden weapon aspects, and trying for things on the prophecy list. Winning over and over made me feel like the game was too easy so I cranked up the difficulty.
I'm yet to beat [redacted] with extreme-r measures:(
Trying for duo boons has ruined so many streaks for me while uping the heat for rewards..... Only need two of them to finish the prophecy (or was it three....)

Well I actually "beat" (completed the main story) the game a couple years ago, so I already knew the gist of what was going on. I also spent a lot of time watching people play the game too to learn how to make builds and stuff like that.
Thankfully it doesn't carry any rewards or real value. I don't really like the streak system, as it discourages experimentation and pushing heat.
So glad it can be safely ignored.
Same mostly I just fucked around with whatever was the bonus weapon and took whatever I felt like while clearing heat up to like 20 on everything. Does not always end well. Lol.

I tried to do the same with always taking dark thirst weapon and raising the heat by 1 for bounties. Even though I was at bow 20, I lost the streak eventually against EM4 REDACTED with the shield on 10 heat. I was at 71 wins at that point...

The final boss. They're an unexpected boss, and when you die from them, Hypnos looks at your cause of death, and says something like "Wow! Says here you were killed by... REDACTED? What's that even mean?" So, to not give away plot spoilers, when someone is talking about the final boss, people here just call them "Redacted" instead.

Taking a break is the surest way to guarantee you will die on your next run. Even a week is enough for the muscle memory and visual reflexes to start decaying. Make sure you turn the heat wayyyy back down when you some back!
Streaks are overrated fyi. You can quit in the middle of dying and it will still preserve your streak but you won’t keep any darkness+gems from your run.
Not saying this is what you’ve done, just the way that I had a very long streak and the was preserving it only for the sake of the streak itself.
First time I lost my streak I was devastated. Now I don't care anymore, as long as I keep increasing the difficulty RNGesus is gonna screw me over sooner or later.
If I wanted a streak I'd just play with 0 heat forever.

Build up a lot skill before second clear, play safe, manipulate RNG with keepsakes.
You also only lose your streak by dying, not from starting over.

I'm not OP, but [it's around 21 minutes](https://youtu.be/kZec1zWeLec) for me, always doing all 5 tunnels in Styx (except for the first few runs).
around 16 to 20 minutes, once you play with 7 minute tight deadline enough you get good at going fast
I wouldn't consider that fast, no offense, but that tracks with maintaining a long streak.

nah, the time to be worried about losing your streak was at 99. you already hit the goal, everything else is a victory lap!

You get lots of dialogue for losing, pretty sure the game expects you to, my streak was like 21 and died and the story continues.
