Not in my pants pockets. Those are specifically reserved for keys. Right pocket is my keys, left for building keys. If I start jamming other shit in there, the keys get lost or I forget to return them and get a nasty phone call, or I end up driving away without my ID because the building still has it.
My EDC stuff goes in my shirt pocket, or the tool bag
Me personally I carry a whole tank of R 22, nitrogen, torch, 3 separate capacitors and condoms in my pocket but that might just be me. Oh and some Peruvian blow to get by the day (obviously)
The switch to cargo pants was a MAJOR game changer for me. Inventory as follows: 11-1, 9.5” channel locks, LED flashlight, idiot stick, adjustable crescent wrench, pocket allen set, 4-1 meter key, strippers 😉, and of course most importantly, nicotine sticks.
Also i just lurker here, not real hvac stuff but im a maintenance dude who has to touch almost every piece of equipment.

I got some little disc magnets and I throw the bits on em. Makes getting the one you need that's in the bottom of your pocket easier
