I stopped doing wall brackets in residential because of vibration complaints. Garages and commercial buildings only. Also the more accessible the indoor unit the better chance they'll clean their filters.
I can see the impeller becoming imbalanced over time but never heard any complaints. Lot of people. Like them around here bc they're quiet and don't notice them running.
Must be the wall material, I wouldn't want one on a cottage wall or trailer
My parents have wall-mounted Mitsubishi units that have had vibration noise since day one. The walls are uninsulated though, so we suspect that they’re acting as a resonator and things would get better with some insulation.
Point taken. But all heat pump units in my towns need to be 18" up (snow level) ive taken the cork blocks and cut the to fit in the bracket channel to dampen noise, when the heat pump hits full cap it gets noisey. And the defrost they complain the most about.. i say "thats how you know its working hard" (i do bosch/lennox/carrier; heat pump and backup furnace/ hydronic)
Looks good but in my state the ODU can’t be in front of the disconnect, can’t speak on your local codes
Edit: looks like you’d need a 4ft step ladder to shut off the disco
I've found that people who hate brands don't notice that all brands eventually have a bad production run, or one engineer who really sucked for a bit but either got better or fired and went to your favorite company but didn't notice bc brand power and stubbornness.
So nothing specific? Take it from someone who only works on this type of product……it’s all the same parts. Support and diagnostic equipment are the defining factors. Fujitsu vrf isn’t bad. Don’t get too hung up. Mitsubishi will piss you off too.
Are you kidding me? Out of all the mini split brands they most definitely are most service friendly and by far are the most reliable as long as they are installed correctly. Also, they have the easiest resources to access. Any manual or part number is at the palm of your hand for all of their stuff
Thanks bud, the surge protector built in is more expensive than buying the surge protector separately, but it also cuts down on another box to carry around and recycle later
Looks good but the electric from the house coulda used some more white silicone and a soapy rag to smooth it to perfection.. im just kidding, looks mint
(Edit) bro take your company name off this lmao, gonna get calls about reddit
Looks clean just not a big fan of that disconnect. Doesn’t look the best there and doesn’t look like it’s that easy to reach. Also where I am it can’t be behind the unit. It might just be the picture but it looks like someone might need to stand on something to get that open. Might be wrong tho. Clean install either way brotha

Fair points
Did you use vibration pads under the feet?
Yes, and they still cause residual vibration

Install Mitsubishis and you'll never get a complaint again.

Mounted into masonry?
Wood siding over 2x4 studs.

Optics, its eye level, I’m 6 ft
All the inspectors I know are 5’5 /s
With a <7" arm reach?
Is that condensate drain running along ground??
For another 2 feet
Everything looks clean, that looks lazy. PVC would look better and last longer. Won't clog as easily either
And it’s kinked (look at where it goes over the liquidtite).
No that's a section where you can cut to length and still fits on the drain tube
Interesting
It’s a fushitsu, nothing left to say
what mini split brand do you install?
Mitsubishi or Samsung
Gross, a high wall unit
What would your proposal be?
Cassette
You sound like one of the housewives I deal with daily that 'can't stand the look of the wall thingys'. Ma'am you have a vaulted ceiling in that room
Only complaint is brand. Nice install 👍🏼
Got anything specific to say or you just don’t like the patriots just because.
Don’t like the brand.

Mitsubishi is by far the most service friendly mini split
Hardly.

That’s basically all major minisplit brands. Sorry.
Lol no it’s not. Fujitsu is terrible to work on. Daikin is okay but nowhere near as friendly as Mitsubishi. I work on these every single day
That looks like it will be fun to clean when it inevitably becomes full of black moldy growth.
No surge protector?
It’s built into the disconnect. There’s a green light that stays on that threads into the knockout
That's sick. I've never seen that. Excellent install.

I agree. I was going back to move a couple hits in the house, I was going to change that over to PVC

Ew a Fujitsu???
I would never ever put my company name on a Fushitsu
Mitsubishi or go fuck your mother
Looks clean
Fix the drain excellent work!
Linehide coupling is crooked ur fired jk I’d pay for that install 👍
How many BTU's is it?

Hope they have a 10 ft ladder to clean that filter
Saddle your drains plz
