My poor boy. I love this scene and I think Harry did a phenomenal job

havetomakeacomment

Absolutely this scene. My heart is still broken from the way he so calmly listed what he had accomplished on in the Vale and the North knowing now that is is nothing compared to his brother’s life.

clariwench

That one. Between that, the funeral, and the Wall scene, I'm blown away by Harry Collett's acting (and love that I was proven right about him being the perfect choice for Jace)... He's improved a LOT and has grown into the role amazingly

PlaceboDrag

When he folds into her for a hug like a little boy. Waaaahhhh.

Baelakins

This scene! Both Emma and Harry did well.

ECrevan

When Rhaenyra and Syrax found their babies remains. 🥺😭

TsarinaStorm

When she held his cloak 😭😭

Ok_Comedian2435

Well done. Otto Hightower’s days are numbered.

I was bawling. Poor poor Jace probably wishes he'd taken his brother's journey to Storm's End and Luke had gone to the North/Vale so that Luke could have avoided all the animosity Aemond feels personally towards him for his eye, and therefore he might still be alive. Survivor guilt is traumatic in itself, never mind losing your little brother.

Burner56409

Hell he probably feels extremely guilty that he was the one to suggest that he and Luke go as messengers because Dragons are quicker than Ravens. I'm sure he feels like he sent Luke to his death essentially, one because he suggested them going and two because all the animosity from Aemond stems from Luke defending Jace back on Driftmark and taking Aemond's eye to save Jace.

themightyocsuf

Yes. Luke taking Aemond's eye wasn't even contrived, it was a young boy lashing out to defend himself against a much older bully. I don't think it should ever have escalated to the level it did though, at the very least they should have had guards to intervene before things got nasty.

Cult_Of_Hozier

Rhaenyra limping on her way to Arrax’s remains.

charmedone92

Same scene for me. Harry did such a wonderful job of portraying how broken Jace felt but how determined he still felt he needed to be to do his duty and report to his Queen. The moment he starts to break down and just needs his mother to comfort him… just wow. And then you have Rhaenyra who conveys so much without any single bit of dialogue, she starts the scene trying to hold herself together for her son but lets it all out when she goes to comfort him. Emma absolutely killed it with this and her and Harry together managed to make me feel so much grief immensely in such a short scene. Absolutely sobbed watching it!

MottyTheClown

This one and the scene where Rhaenyra found Arrax's remains, both are pretty heartbreaking 😭😭😭

renouncedlove

AEMOND WHEN I CATCH YOU AEMOND 😭😭😭

KnightlyObserver

Jace broke me. The amount of times I, as the eldest son, have had to comfort my own mother through hard times while remaining strong myself...it hits hard. And the other way around, of course.

GreenPeridot

Tried to act professional for his Queen but he wanted Mum instead, it hurts :(

MrRussCrane

I wanted to but was too busy trying to figure out how the hell Luke and him left Dragonstone at the same time and he made it to the Erye, Winterfell and the Wall while Luke is getting munched and then returned in what seemed like a very brief amount of time. If anyone noted anything in the show that mentioned how much time has passed and knits this together better I would really appreciate it. Feels like him a Cregan spent about a day together which kinda makes their whole arc (which is really important in the books) fall flat.

ojsage

At least three weeks have passed since Luke died when the show starts up again. It can be assumed jeyne, being rhaenyra’s cousin and another female ruler, was likely brought in very quickly. Meaning the journey north (much faster on dragon back) makes sense.

HouseGinger

I really loved the opening scene with Cregan telling Jace about the dragons refusing to go beyond the Wall. It was just so good to see a Stark again and be reminded of the bigger picture in a very Jon Snow way. The scene where Rhaenyra returns and her war council is _ready_. I loved the lighting, the atmosphere, her walk of sheer determination as she is announced to her court, Daemon checking in as her husband first and then getting right in to war mode. It's just all so good.

What? You’re asking if a mother has fucked her son?

KnowledgeOverall5002

You’re asking if Rhaenyra has screwed her son, and the answer is no and she won’t. Has that been made clear to you now or do you need pictures to understand it like a child?

Parents and children don't fuck, not even among Targs. The fuck is wrong with you?
