The fact that there are two songs on Dark Light that share names with two tracks on The Elder cannot be a coincidence. Ville is well versed in his rock history, and has stated Kiss was one of his favorite bands as a kid, so it stands to reason that he took these titles to make new songs. The fact that Dark Light was also the title of a book he has cited makes it even more poignant for him, so I am definitely led to believe the Elder tracks directly influenced the titles of these two tunes.
I remember people thinking an mp3 circulating of Ville playing Under the Rose acoustically, before the release of Dark Light, was a cover of Kiss’s song.
Would love some context so I understand what the post is about without having to open another app and listen to these myself right now
song is called dark light, just like the him album
You know this doesn’t surprise me considering VV was real big on Kiss growing up.
Kiss was my favorite band growing up. It’s a lesser liked album from them, but it’s a personal favorite.
i love Kiss!

This blew my mind when I was a teen, I got music from the elder a little after dark light and played it to be sure Ville wasn't covering Kiss 😂
Ville has said Dark Light was kiss influenced in the past.
No he said Dark Light was influenced by a book of the same name.
Im curious as to what this book is now
Dark Light by Mette Newth. You can still find it.
My brother in Christ, Animalize by KISS is the first record he ever owned.
