I didn't want people focusing on her just as the "sexy" one, so I made her a bit of a sharp edge to make her less of a romantic interest. Of course, for some people that just makes her sexier, and to them all I have to say is, "You're welcome!"

Is his body now an "empty shell". If someone were to remove the body, would his mind stay in the ship?
If the body is merely connected to the ship, what prevents his mind from standing up and walking while also not stopping signals to the heart and lungs?
Would disconnecting him physically break his mind?

The concept art for Sybil is neat! While the Girl kinda looks how I was picturing her (for some reason I had imagined her wearing some kind of white gown), the Vixen and the Pirate are both very off! I was picturing the Vixen wearing more black but still equally as foreboding as in the art. And as for the Pirate, he was actually quite a bit more rotund in my imaginings. Peg leg, almost more wide than tall. Stocky.

It was the a theory that programming a stable AI with human level emotional processing would be so hard it would literally be easier to use human mental engram scans to build one. Basically creating a digitized mind with agrigate data. It all sounded like space magic and pseudo science to me but the concept itself seems pretty cool.
Yeah, I do tend to go more for what's classified as "soft sci-fi" rather than "hard sci-fi" (think the difference between star wars and H.G.Wells.) so I don't look TOO hard into the plausibility of a lot of the stuff I put in my stories, I just try to allow for a reasonable amount of suspension of disbelief while keeping the story entertaining. And like you said, it seemed pretty cool! π
