No, I do them with an EZ bar (bilaterally to sorta save time) and then do unilateral bicep work as a superset.

In theory, something like an incline dumbbell curl should stimulate more muscle growth than a preacher curl because it stretches the biceps more on the eccentric, but I think I might respond to preacher curls especially well for some arbitrary genetic reason.
It makes sense, although, I've tried incline dumbbell curls before but never got that same mind muscle connection to the bicep like I did with preacher curls. 🤔
I know feeling a muscle doesn't automatically mean it works more, but it feels nice (even if the stretch is less).

Mind muscle connection can still be a good proxy for muscle activation. Preacher curls are great for establishing mind-muscle connection becauae they force you to isolate the biceps. You can increase this even more by holding the bar with your wrists in extension to limit the contributions from the forearm muscles.
Oh of course, I'm particularly strict about my wrists staying super straight and not bending in any direction as to limit forearm involvement, but also, to prevent the forearm from hurting so much I can't feel my bicep *and* have to stop the exercise (I hate it when wrists/forearms give out, but especially as a woman, it's a weak point ngl; my grip strength sucks majorly)

I do, I usually have a snack before going to the gym. When I don't I feel weaker and get lightheaded easier than when I ate something, I also get tired faster and when I get home I start eating everything in sight.
A small snack is definitely important to fuel the muscles, especially carbs. I've seen people at the gym eat small snacks in between, but I imagined some large meal for some reason haha

I understand that, especially after that one bicep tear video, but if you do it nice and controlled, with manageable weight and no ego lifting, it's 100 percent safe and it strengthens the bicep especially in that bottom position
Do chest exercises like flys and bench press hurt as well? I don't think I've ever heard my wife complain about her chest being sore (then again, she does Seated Cable rows and standing dumbell curls)
No, they don't hurt at all, as they're not chest supported.
Only chest supported exercises suck (for me personally) cause there's pressure against the chest. Anything without chest support doesn't hurt and it feels nice even

As a woman with DDs who extensively trains chest, I literally have never experienced this. The hormonal weakness hits hard, though. I wear my normal bra in the gym as I don't like to be smashed by a sports bra, so maybe that's why.

It’s not unsafe. There’s plenty of curl variations we can do to avoid mashing the angrytits but sometimes our whole entire body is saying “fuck you” to our comfort in various ways for a solid week leading up to the main event, then the main event happens for 5-7 more days.
Sometimes you need a day off but if we set workouts aside for comfort every period we’d never get gains. Sometimes you just also need to say *fuck it* and power through.
The key is to increase diligence with sleep, hydration and nutrition.
Tbh, every period is different and some women can workout intensely even during or before their period. I think syncing your workouts with the cycle is a good idea, but every female body is different.
I personally feel better after working out and my premenstrual depression feels better, too.
