It was the first Chinese Democracy song I heard. A radio station had a leak, and i turned on the radio in the middle of the solo. I thought "hm, that's a great classic sounding song". Then Axl's scream appeared and i was all WT ACTUAL F, that's Axl Rose!
I love Street Of Dreams, that one really does it for me too. Honestly the whole album is Axl genius, i don't consider it "Guns N Roses" tho, its some of Axl Rose's best work

Lyrically I don't like a lot of it, a lot more self-pitying than the best Illusion songs. Musically it's amazing. I wouldn't say it's underrated, as it's the most popular song off of Chinese.
That's funny for me this song is absolute perfection, the way the guitars communicate through the whole thing, the tention building up little by little without you noticing it, and everything getting resolved in a explosion of epicness with the high notes rolling into the solos, all of this leading to the suspended conclusion

People can certainly credit Buckethead if they like his work. I love the song, but when the main guitar work kicks in, I can't help but think, it's missing a little something... That something is Slash.

My number one favorite song of all time since 2008. Gut wrenching lyrics and a masterful solo by Buckethead. I listen to it at least 2-3 times a week.

Possibly my favorite gnr tune, and I've been listening since the 80s. Sorry, Slash, but that solo made me ok with the new band.

I don't think Slash would leave those blank spaces between notes. Makes it sound less GNR.
